Why does Apple put out update that crash so terribly ?
I spent all last night trying to upload the 5.01 update and now my ipad 2 does not even start.
Very disappointed, what did Apple do, sell out to Bill Gates ?
Now how to get the Ipad 2 working again.... Anyone know how to go back to ground zero on this operating system ?

Did that, been there..... Spent three hours down loading just to get a message (that I can't remember because Itunes will not let you copy a error message, so you have to memorize it) timed out or something like that. Screen on the Ipad has the locked slider, but does not un lock.
I did finally figure out how to fix it though (after a couple of days of trying every option I could think of)....
Every "update" has little tricks that has to be done, like reload everything you had loaded in the past for the first update I did..... Nice little "SURPRISE!!!"
Will this upload to 5.01 little "SURPRISE!!!" was a hard reboot... One of the little tricks one has to do for windows quite often.....
I think I'll sware off "updates" for a while (so I can enjoy USING my Ipad instead trying to figure out how I get it running again).
I have come to the conclusion that ALL Programmers are sadistic or just don’t care about the quality of their product..

Photos on your computer should be included with your computer's backup along with all other important data. The iPad is not designed to intended to be a backup storage device.
The transfer of photos from a computer to an iOS device via the iTunes sync process is a one way transfer only - from the computer to the device. Photos are optimized for viewing on the device the photos are being transferred to - the original resolution of the photos is changed, which is why transferring these photos in the opposite direction is not supported.
There are some 3rd party paid utilities that support transferring these photos in the opposite direction.

Why can't I access the updated that are pending on my phone? I've turned the phone off and also closed all the apps. But still won't allow me to access the updates. Just a blank screen.

One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...

/System/Library/StartupItems
/System/Library/LaunchDaemons
/Library/LaunchDaemons
Open Console in Applications>Utilities, check the system log for the date/time of the last problem & next startup for clues.

i read soemwhere that it automatically gets credited back within 3-5 working days.
waited for more than 7 days but no credit was given back.

Each time that you add or change the card details on your account (and possibly also if you change your name and address, as the card needs to be registered to the same name and address as on your iTunes account) you will be charged a temporary store holding charge to check that the card details are valid and that the card is active, but it should disappear within a few days or so (the amount of time that it takes will vary by card issuer) : store holding charge.

Why has Verizon put out an update that is breaking most people's phones?!?!

This to me is unacceptable for a company the size of Verizon! I have many friends who have a Droid X as well and every one of them have had nothing but problems with their phone after installing the update.
Something needs to be done about this by Verizon!
Did they not test this update properly?
Why are we having to do factory resets and having to basically start all over because Verizon has failed us as a responsible service providor.
Once again this is totally unacceptable to me and something has to be done by Verizon ASAP so more people won't have half of their day ruined by having to wrestle their phone after trusting the update that they are offering.
Yet again another rediculas failure by Verizon.

All apps are tied to the Apple ID that downloaded them.
They can not be transferred to a new Apple ID.
You will have to use the Apple ID and password used to download them.
If you do not wish to do so, erase them and download them under the new ID. This will wipe any data in the app and you will have to pay for them again.

Hey Ryan, When you looked at Get Info as Illaass instructed did you compare all the info listed in iTunes Get Info on the computer's copy? When you looked at the song(s) that are separated, do they list anything different like a featured artist? Or a different composer / song writer? Sometimes that will trick the the software into thinking it is 2 different albums. Make the info about the album and artist match, then sync to your iPod. The songs should go back where they belong on your iPod. Good luck. Cheers.

You may need to try this More than Once...
Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
But... if the Device has been Modified... this will Not necessarily work.
