iPhone do not do automatic update. You have to manually trigger the updates.
If your Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Automatic Downloads > Music, Apps, Books are ON then when you purchase any new content/item with any devices/computer iTunes, it will automatically download. Switch it OFF if you do not want that to happen.

Photoshop CS5 installs as both a 32 bit and a 64 bit version on an x64 operating system.
Run the 64 bit version to access all of your RAM.
Run the 32 bit version if you need compatibility with older 32 bit plug-ins.
Look in the Start Menu for links to both. The 64 bit version is labeled with (64 Bit) after its name.

Kernel task uses 750MBs of RAM since installing Mavericks

Hi All,
I'm new to these forums and could really use some help. After installing Mavericks I noticed my system was running deathly slow even with no applications open. At first I assumed it was indexing so I waited a day. I noticed kernel task, the finder, and icon services agent were using unusual amounts of RAM. Kernel task would go up to 750MBs - it never went that high before. The finder would go up to 300MBs and stay there, even after closing every window. Only quitting and restarting Finder would solve that issue.
I've tried repairing disk permissions. I also tried getting rid of Parallels, since MS finally released OneNote for Mac. This made no difference. I deleted lots of widgets and unecessary applications and possible bloatware (like TechTools Pro). I installed AppCleaner to make sure I got everything. It got most, but definitely not all associated files. I then went into the terminal and did the command that reveals hidden files/folders. I then deleted the daemon for techtools pro just in case.
After all of this, kernel tasks is still using 750MBs and 7.9GBs of RAM is being taken up (other than background processes all I have fired up are Firefox and Skype. I'm at my wits end and would be so grateful for some help.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

MBP with 4GB on board, Leopard use only 3GB

I've a MBP with 4GB. The ram has been upgraded from 2GB to 4GB more than one year ago without problem. At that time the system recognized ad used all 4GB of ram.
Today I've found out that Leopard doesn't use more than 3GB. System Activity Monitor show me (as any other place where I can look for information about ram) that the system have 4GB of ram, but it uses only 3.
I've already tried these possibile solutions, but the problem is still there.

Well, sure or not, you are incorrect. Your machine cannot (and has never been able to) use the entire 4 GB, it's a limitation of the memory controller. Despite that limitation, it does show up in System Profiler and in About this Mac as 4 GB. However, only the 2.2/2.4/2.6 GHz MBPs can use the entire 4 GB - yours cannot.
In these last days I've had an heavy reduction of speed. I've noticed it because I use a lot of virtual machines and now it's almost impossibile to load more than one.
How much free space do you have on your hard disk? More than 15% of it's capacity?

I'd like to shed a little light on this for you. Some HP printers are able to scan without ink installed, but most do not. If the cartridge lights on the product are blinking and there is an "E" in the copies window, then the printer is in an error state and will not function until cartridges are installed. If the printer is in an error state, that would describe the message you are getting that "An error occured while communicating with the scanning device", as the printer would not respond when prompted by the software. Is there a way to trick MS Service Manager 2012 to use SQL Server 2014 when installing it?

I recently set up a virtual Lab on my laptop. I dont have much resources on my laptop and can only have around 5 servers. the problem is that i already set up SQL Server 2014 standalone and configured all of my services to use that server which works
fine. however when i try to install MS Service Manager 2012 it throws "SQL has to be either 2012 or 2008" error ..
is there a way for me to trick the Registry so Service Manager will install?

I don't know a trick to install SCSM 2012 on a SQL Server 2014. But maybe you can use a SQL Server 2012 for installation temporary and move the db after installation is done to your SQL Server 2014?

Laptop use only 4GB RAM of physical 8GB in 64bit Windows 7

In my laptop HP630 had 4GB of RAM. I have installed additional 4GB. But the Bios shows 4GB of memory instead of 8, and Windows 7 x64 - also shows the memory capacity 4 GB (3.86 available). However, the program CPU-Z displays properly connected the card in the first and second slot, and the total volume of 8192 Megabytes.
How to make Windows to use all the memory?

Why use a wait timer when you can "wait for front panel activity"?

Why does everyone:
1) Wire a stop button to the while loop conditional terminal and add a wait for 100 ms (or so) timer to the loop.
When they could:
2) Wire the stop button to the while loop conditional terminal AND to "Wait for front panel activity" VI as described in the VI's help file?

That's just a matter of habit. In previous LV versions, the wait for front panel activity was not available.

I recently uninstalled an older version of itunes, and every time i try to install the newest version it wont work.
I just keep getting the message "key not valid for use in specified state". If you know what to do could you
please make it simple. also do not send me to apple's help section, it does not have ANY answers.

For "Key not valid for use in specified state" errors try moving the folder RSA from C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA to say C:\RSA (just in case there should be a need to restore it) then try installing again. This folder appears to act as a cache and should be rebuilt automatically as required.
There is a link to 7-zip in the Install missing components section of the user tip Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates, but if you have the key not valid error the advice above should work, and there is no need to break down the setup file.

If you go to Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Network > Network mode - you can change from default "Dual mode" to "GSM" if you want.
