Why very higher charge than T-Mibile?

According to T-mobile family plans, 3 lines are for $90.00 only.  My monthly payment is for 180.00 (3 lines).  2 times expenses.  Do you know why?

Depends on how much traveling you do.  If you don't travel to or through rural areas and only stick to major cities, T mobile is fine.  When I travel with someone with Tmobile the difference in coverage is very obvious and significant.  Putting up towers in low population areas is expensive and low repayment, so overall costs are higher.

  • Why the high charges, Verizon?

I used my 4 LTGE approximately 30 times, once a day, for about one minute each time. Then ALWAYS turned the wifi OFF. So, please explain these high charges on my bill.

Unfortunately you actually answered your own question. You turn cellular data off! Not Wifi.
Wifi is free and does not go against your data allotment however cellular data 4G LTE does go against your usage.
You have to pay attention to what you are doing. Not Verizons fault this time.
    Good Luck

  • HT4060 Should iPad be allowed to run very low before charging or is it best to keep it highly charged?

Should iPad be allowed to constantly run low before charging or is it best to keep it highly charged at most times?

    Battery care
    1. Make sure you run the battery down to 5% and then charging it to 100% once a month.
    2. You should start charging your iPad when the battery charge is less than 10%. Over discharging the battery will shorten the lifespan of its battery.
    3. Never store the battery fully discharged. Apply some charge before storage, and then charge fully before use.
    4. When possible avoid frequent full discharges. Instead, charge the battery more often. There is no concern of battery's memory when applying unscheduled charges.
    5. Avoid iPad from overheating > 35°.
    6. Remove casing/sleeve when charging to allow heat to dissipate from back cover
    7. To safe battery power turn off :
    a. background app refreshing
    b. push notifications and/or push mail
    c. lower screen brightness
    d. minimize the use of location services
    e. increase Fetch New Data interval.

  • Why does my 4S stay warm and display very high usage?

I have an iPhone 4S and the battery life is unbelievably poor. Sitting in my pocket on standby it drains 7-10% per hour. However, if I go to settings > general > usage it shows a very high amount of usage - say 40 minutes usage for every 1 hour standby. On top of this the phone is almost always warm to the touch. Obviously it's not meant to be this way.
I have tried restoring to factory settings. I have tried recovery/dfu restoring. Even with adding no data or apps to the basic restore, I'm still seeing the same strange usage and battery drain.
On top of this I've also installed iOS 5.0.1 betas 1 and 2. Again I saw no improvement.
Any ideas on what further I can try? I'd really love to be able to get through a day without having to constantly have the phone on charge.

Just in case anyone comes here wondering about the answer to my issues. I got the phone replaced and the replacement has much better battery life with the exact same software, so I'm guessing that I just had a defective phone.
It's weird though as all the signs pointed to it being a software issue. Oh well, it's not like I hadn't tried everything, so I just got it replaced (gotta love that customer service). It was interesting watching the Genius say stuff like "ah but you can fix the battery life problem by turning off X..." [goes through settings] "oh, you already have that turned off"
The usage numbers still seem a bit high on the new one, but on day 1 it's managed 14h27m standby, 4h24m usage (real usage is more like 2h) and it's on 33% battery remaining at nearly midnight. That's just about acceptable, and an upgrade to 5.0.1 should get it running even better I presume. The old phone would probably have died a good few hours ago, so this one is about twice as good.

  • Why is Verizon charging $50 more than Apple?

Somebody care to explain to me exactly why Verizon is charging $50 more than Apple themselves for each model of the Verizon iPhone?
Seriously, I'd love to hear the reasoning.
I'm upgrade ineligible but use Macs for my business so I've accepted that I can't get an early upgrade, even though VZW has selectively chosen who they'll give discounts or rebates to. We've been with Verizon for 10+ years and are loyal customers. Regardless, I've accepted it and have planned on paying full retail since day one.
So rather than whining and saying that it's a slap in the face that they won't give me an early upgrade- I won't. WHAT I will say though is that charging $50 more per phone when they know full and well that the vast majority of buyers at full retail WILL be upgrade ineligible, loyal customers, now THAT is a slap in the face.
Think $50 isn't much when you're already spending X amount on the retail price of the phone? Consider that when pricing the 16GB at $649 through Verizon and THEN adding sales tax, you're not far off at all from the 32GB version via Apple.
I don't mind spending a few extra $'s if I'm going to get something from it. I don't like spending another $50 because the corporate suits say "Let's charge a little more because upgrade ineligible customers WILL pay whatever we want and LIKE IT".
If you want the Verion iPhone bad enough, vote with your wallets, give your money DIRECTLY to Apple and save your $50.
Or maybe someone here, or better yet, a Verizon rep can enlighten me on why I should just hand over that extra $50.

If you are already a VZW customer,  go to this link, underneath the device description, click on "Check your iPhone 4 eligibility" and type in your info. If you're not eligible for an early upgrade it will show the the full retail price if you buy now and, it will also show you the price and date when you are eligible for the reduced price.
If you are eligible for an ugrade, I'm not sure if it still shows the full retail price.
    http://www.apple.com/iphone/notify-me/
And yes, we all full understand the ins and outs of the business world. However, Apple is pretty strict about how much you can charge for their products. That aside, if in fact the pre-order can only be done on Verizon's site on Feb 3rd, and they are not giving loyal customers any type of discount, sure would be nice if they could keep the retail price the same for us. Especially when they know that the majority of those purchasing at full retail will be existing customers. Besides, we're talking about a "reputable business" with Verizon, not Ebay or Craigslist.
In case you're wondering why I think the majority of people paying full retail will be existing, non-upgrade eligible customers? It's simple, a new customer could get the discount price, and cancel a couple months in, eat the ETF and it would still be cheaper than the full retail cost.

My MacBook's fan is operating very high and I am able to hear it. Also my battery will not charge. I am told that there are no batteries available

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
For the fan running continually, first try an SMC (System Management Controller) reset:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
Since you did not mention which model of MacBook you own, it's impossible to answer your battery question.
Apple still sells original-equipment batteries for most models from the Apple Store online.
Another reliable source of Mac products is OtherWorldComputing (www.macsales.com).
And some people choose to purchase batteries from what I consider to be less-reliable sources such as eBay.

  • Why is package access higher priviliged than protected?

    Hello,
why is the access level of fields and methods on package level higher priviliged than the 'protected' modifier? I am searching for a general answer to this behaviour, because I am writing my master's thesis about this.
How can I give subclasses access to fields without widing the access protection to the other package members? Shouldn't there be another access level 'in between' of default(package-private) and private, that gives access only to subclasses?
    Example:
If you want to let a class be extended, than you have to set some fields from private to protected. Now a subclass has access to this field. Let's imagine a 'EvilClass' that wants to change the state of an object. EvilClass has only be to put in the same package and then EvilClass gains imidietly access to protected fields. The reason is, that protected gives access to subclasses AND to classes in the same package.
    Thanks for any comment
    Greetings, Timo

Thank you for your replies. But I am still not satisfied with this logic.
In C++ the protected keyword has exactly the meaning of "access to subclasses" becauser there is no "compilation unit"-philosophy like the package system in Java. C++ is using friends-classes for this.So what? This is Java and not C++. Classes in the same package are friends.
And yes, you're obviously right to say, that packages are closer than subclasses, but I think there are a lot of examples, where a stricter access level would be fine.No
    >
I think of the "Visitor Pattern" for example, which often has to reduce the access level, so that visitors are able to do their job. Or, OR-Mapping Tools, which aren't allowed to use reflections to fill the private fields of entities. A (friend=hibernate) would be nice. ;-)You can populate a private field using reflection, but I would probably use cglib or asm or any other library to create subclasses during loading.
    >
Another 'evil'-idea: What about somenone wants to attack me. He is able to gain access to 'my' protected fields, just by define an 'attackclass' in the same package. So, the only possibilty to deny such attacks is by sealing my jars?Is that an attack? Sounds just like something stupid. It would be much easier to replace your class with another one.

  • Why am I getting very high values for the very low frequency region of a random signal?

I am tyring to produce a power spectrum graph for a Tachogram data, related to Heart Rate Variability Analysis. This data can be thought to be as a random signal, but has a frequency spectrum range of 0 - 1HZ.
The problem that I am facing is, I am getting very high values for very low frequency region, closer to DC value. Even the DC value is really high, in the range 10^8. It is suppose to be a low number. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Here is what my work is all about. I am trying to develop a software for Heart Rate Variability analysis. I am not sure if you are aware of heart beat waveforms, they are bunch spikes, occuring at irregular intervals. We have to do analysis on this waveform. How ? First we have to create a plot called Tachogram. This is done by, for example, let's name the first spike R1, the second one R2, and the third one R3, and so on. This is how the co-ordinate points are created. (R1, R2-R1), (R2, R3-R2), and so on...
Here R1 is the time instant at which the spike R1 occurs, and R2-R1 is the time difference between these peak occurences. So, if we plot these values, then it gives us one like what you saw on your time domain plot. What we have to do with this signal is, we have to apply FFT technique to produce its power spectrum for analysis. Generally the frequency range of the spectrum goes from 0 - 0.5 Hz. They part this range into VLF, LF, and HF, and analyze how much power is distributed in these regions. The distribution would tell you if you were stressed out,or have worked out, things like that. Normally, you can view spikes around LF, HF region. If you had viewed the power spectrum for the data that I sent, then that's what it pretty much looks like. I think I have said a lot about it now. Hope you get it.
We were talking about the "other component", I can't really see where it lies, must be in the 60-80 sec. range in the graph. If you look at the spectrum, I am getting a huge value around 0.0033 Hz, how do I minimize or remove this ?
Also, I am using Unevenly Spaced Signal Spectrum.vi, I am not sure what excactly is the unit for the Power Spectrum output. Technical Papers denote, Periodogram algorithm used by this VI, gives Power Spectral Density ? If that's right, then the unit is V^2/HZ.
    Please advise.
Again, I should thank you for your time and effort.
I have to meet a deadline this week in finishing this project, and your help is immense to me at this point.
    Thanks & Best Regards,

when i connect my ipad to pc why it cannot charge

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

That is determined by what type of disk that it is. It may be a disk that only allows you to install Windows on your Dell computer and would not allow Windows to be installed on a Boot Camp partitition or as a virtual machine in an app such as VirtualBox on your Mac. If that is the case, you would need to purchase a retail Windows install disk.

My netbook touchpad uses PS2, doesn't cause so many wakeups. AFAIK, almost all synaptic and elantech touchpads use PS2. No idea about the macs though. I was wondering, isn't there a setting that can set the max no of interrupts caused per second or it is just infinite as it appears to be? I definitely don't need more than a 100 to move my cursor around!
This sucks, with some rapid finger scrolling I can make the wakeups count in powertop go crazy (I'm talking in the order of millions)
