Why videos have a green cast and poor picture

All of the sudden videos on my phone have a green cast to them and look like a digital interfearance. It's happening on all videos. Both ones I have taken and ones on you tube. Anyone else have this problem?

You might have a hardware issue, the display might be damaged/going bad. I would try quitting All Apps and then restart the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If that doesn't help, reset your iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
You could try restoring the iPad as well, but I don't know that it would help.

    Hi waiex,
I have recently upgraded to Lion and have the same problem as you.  Did you find a solution?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Does Touch have "remove color cast" and adjust lighting - levels like Photoshop Elements?

Does Touch have "remove color cast" and adjust lighting -> levels like Photoshop Elements?

There isn't a "remove color cast" command per se but there are Levels and Curves adjustments so you can effectively remove/diminish colors yourself.

  • My manipulated images come out with a green color cast and poor quality

I manage my photos with ACDSee, but use Photoshop CS3 for much of my editing. The image leaves ACDSee with rich true colors, and while I'm editing in Photoshop the image looks like I want it. But when I save the image and view it in ACDSee, it now is faded, has a green color cast and looks faded, dull and shallow. What do you think is happening? Thanks.  Rickrans

One other place to look....  If you shoot raw images, there's a separate configuration for the color space the Camera Raw converter delivers its results in.  Click the little link at the bottom-center of the Camera Raw dialog.  If you want to work in the sRGB color space, change it as shown here:

  • Printed photos have strong green cast

Since I upgraded to Lion all photos I print on my HP PhotoSmart 3310 have a very strong green cast, especially in the shadows.
I have tried printing directly from Aperture and also exporting the image then printing from Preview and it makes no difference. I have also reset the printing system by folowing this article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1341
A test page print from my printer looks fine so I don't think it's anything to do with the hardware itself.
Any ideas why this would be happening and any suggestions for further troubleshooting?

Have you verified it's a problem with the Mac, by printing to your printer from a different machine?
Also, have you updated the drivers recently?:

  • No longer any video visible, only green, pink and yellow blocks of color.

    I am using FCE 4.0
For some reason I no longer see any video in my Viewer window and my Canvas window. The video image is completely messed up
All I see are seemingly random green, pink and yellow blocks of color. I do hear the audio the way it is supposed to be. I can see thumbnail images of individual clips in the Browser window
This is with projects I had already started to work on and with which everything seemed fine just a few days ago.
To see if old files might have gotten corrupted, I just captured a few minutes of new video, and the same thing happened. It seems to capture fine, but when I drag the clip from the Browser into the Viewer, I get the same green, pink and yellow blocks of color.
Does anyone have an idea what might be going on?

Just a thought - but have you checked to make sure you haven't accidentally got the magnification up really really high in your viewer or canvas windows ?

  • Video panel showing green clips and glitchy playback

My issue is that the video, whenever i add an effect or text, like if i do anything to edit the video, in my panel the video has a green thumbnail. after it shows this green thumbnail when i play it back it plays a little of the true clip(s) and then grabs like 3 other random clips usually about 3 or more frames of it, from somewhere else in the video and plays them in place of my video. My work ive done is just deleted! im not understanding whats wrong. Oh and im in adobe premiere pro cs6.0.3. Im actually like semi-new to this but i know this is no editing issue this is a program issue.

OK, there are many nVidia video cards, that are certified to provide full support for the Mercury Playback Engine (MPE), and they have CUDA capabilities. There are other nVidia cards, that will work perfectly, after one applies the "hack" to the supported cards txt file. For more background on CUDA and MPE, see this article: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4152667#4152667
Hope that helps, and good luck,

  • HELP! Video in canvas is tiny and poor quality

Help me! Im about to break something out of frustration and lack of knowledge.
I started a project in FCP . Im not exactly the most knowledgeable when it comes to final cut so I didnt bother to change any of the sequence setting etc. I had a group of files, shot on a 5D mkII, which I had converted to ProRes. Looking at the files themselves in Finder, the quality was perfect. I imported the prores files into final cut and began editing my video. The files were good quality in the viewer but awful quality in the canvas. I stupidly soldiered on, thinking it was because it was just a preview. However, when i came to export it, the final result was equally as bad as in the canvas.
I tried to find out what was wrong by looking around online and found I should have adjusted the sequence settings. I changed them to 1280x1080. However, now the video is still terrible quality and also much smaller in the canvas. Strangely enough, now that I have changed the sequence settings, everytime I drag one of the prores files onto my timeline, it appears full size and good quality on the canvas. All the stuff before it on the timeline is small and poor quality still. also, dragging prores files onto the timeline, it is now needing to render them before they will play.
Is there someway I can get everything I have edited up to full quality? Or am I going to have to start again?
Im not great at explaining myself i know. Any help would be massively appreciated

If this helps, this is a screenshot. You can see the clip in the viewer is full size but the canvas is showing a smaller, poorer quality clip.

  • Cannot see video, I get green screen and can only hear the contents

I've unintalled flash player and adobe shockwave and re-installed it again but I am getting the same problem. Video is not working. I dont know what to do.

    Hi  ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues, with help from the community!
I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about yourwith the Video not working correctly or green. Try clicking on the green screen, in the tab named Local Storage and put 10 KB and the green screen should disappear. Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need updating as the graphic driver could need updating. Have you tried another browser? This link will help you update your browser if needed. Let me know how this goes. Thanks.

  • Lumix raw files are showing horrible green cast and not option

Hi, since upgrading Aperture to the current version, my new Pictures when shown the preview are ok, however when clicking on them they change to a horrible green. My files are RAW (.RW2) from a Panasonic Lumix GX1. Other thing, when checking in Adjustments, the RAW Fine Tuning Adjustment is greyed.
The ones from my Nikon D800 are good, that means, is not a general problem.

What is your MacOS X version? Your camera should be supported by MacOS X 10.7.4 or later, but your signature says 10.7.2?
If you have MacOS 10.7.4 or later,  but Aperture does not recognize your camera, try to register the raw support for your camera with the launch services db, see this post by Alan Roseman:
Re: Aperture 3 preview of raw file greenish
But also read the following post, that explain how this is supposed to work and to correct the typo in the command
In short: Quit Aperture, open the terminal, paste the  follwing text in (all in one single line) and hit return; then reboot the system.
    /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchSe rvices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -R /System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Library

  • I have a SX 510 and the pictures are not sharp.

I do hold the shutter down half way until the bars are green but the picture is not nearly as sharp as my old Kodak camera. I'm trying to take pictures of my artwork to post online and this is extremely disappointing to have spent more for a camera who's quality is not nearly as good. I've had the camera since April and bought an extended warranty on Amazon so I'm wondering if I should just return it and go with a Kodak again. If anyone knows of a setting that will make a difference, please share. I'm about at the end of my rope. I was so excited to get this camera and now it's virtually unusable for the purpose I wanted it for.

I may have it figured out. I really need to experiment some more though. I set the ISO to 100 and increased the shutter speed. Think I'll play with it some this weekend to see if that helped significantly.

  • Vertical lines on screen and poor picture quality

I have a 14 month old iphone 5 which is immaculate, never been dropped or damaged. Suddenly yesterday I started to get vertical white lines and squares on my display and screen quality and brightness  had deterioted. Will Apple repair or replace for free? I have made an appointment at the Genius Bar for Tuesday but just wondered if anyone else had experienced a similar problem.

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
If you have the NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT video chip, you could be developing this problem:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2377
Do you get the same thing on an external display? If so, that would point to the video chip. If the external is OK, then there is a problem with the built-in display or its connections and/or cables.
    Good luck!
