Why was my "Unlimited Europe" subscription cancell...

On March 26 I renewed my "Unlimited Europe" subscription for one month, today April 17th Skype tells me the subscription has been cancelled (system message in Swedish) for no apparent reason. It worked fine before lunch, but after lunch Skype would not allow me to make a call. Skype then prompted me to buy credit. Being a new user I thought I could load some credit to my account and use the credit to renew my subscription. This was a mistake I now realize, because credit cannot be used this way I have now learned - through reading the support pages. So really I have two problems, I see no reason why Skype cancelled my subscription and I want it activated again, and I want to use my credit to buy a subscription (which I assume Skype will neglect/disregard). I have spent 10 minutes to find a phone number for Skype support on the web, but I gave up and ended up in this forum instead. I have little hope I will receive any help. This experience tells me Skype have a long way to go before it will become a real threat to established telco business. I would rather pay a little more, but have help when I'm stuck.

    To whom it may concern,
    I have received a communication yesterday (february 24th), that my Unlimited Europe subscription was canceled because of payment problems.
    The subscription runs until February 27th and I do not understand why it was canceled already on February 24th!

    Hi, Zorbatextiles, and welcome to the Community,
    Simply cancel the subscription you no longer need; it will remain active until the end of its term.  In other words, if it is a monthly subscription, and you cancel it, the subscription will cancel on what would have been its renewal date.
    Then, start the new subscription you originally intended.
    If you have not used the first subscription, you could feasibly apply for a refund by contacting Skype Customer Service.  However, please note that Skype's Terms of Use and refund policy do indicate that Skype does not refund anything on a pro-rata or per diem basis.

    I recently have bought the Unlimited Europe Subscription and I tried to call my family in Poland but it says "You need Skype credit or a subscription to call landlines and mobiles from Skype". How can I solve this problem?

    When you log into your Skype account using the "Account" link at the top of this web page, do you see the subscription listed there?  If so, what Polish number were you trying to call?  If it was a mobile number, that would not be covered by the Unlimited Europe subscription, which covers calling to landline phones in those countries.  If you post the number in this forum, please post how you were dialing the number - but replace the last 4 digits of the number with XXXX. 
    If you are needing to call a mobile number in Poland, you can either purchase Skype Credit or a subscription specifically for Poland that covers calling to mobile phones.  You can see the options for subscriptions covering calling to Poland by clicking on the "Subscriptions" link at the bottom of this page, then entering Poland on that page.  Make sure to click on the "Landlines and Mobiles" tab, so you are seeing the options related to calling mobile numbers.

    I bought an "Unlimited Europe Subscription". The money has been taken from my bank account. The subscription has been delivered to me on the 4.th of August. Today is the 29th August and the whole month I was not able to using a single point of my subscription! Can anyone pls help? I would appreciate your help!

    Your Subscription only includes calls to landlines. Calls to Dutch cellphones require Skype Credit - hence the message you received.

    Hi all,
    I want to get the RTX DUALphone 4088 and combine it with an Unlimited Europe Subscription. You can do Skype Out calls with the phone, but I want to know if the subscription will work also without having my skype credits being charged. Can't seem to find that anywhere on the web.
    Please let me know about your experiences or where to find the answer.

    I have a RTX Dualphone 4088 which I use with a Unlimited World Subscription.
    I make calls (which should be free with my subscription) and my Skype credits aren't touched. The Skype credits are only used if I make calls which are not covered by my subscription.

    I had my wallet stolen and the bank shut down my account and c.cards.For 15 years I have used Skype and extended to Unlimited Europe order reference [removed for privacy]  I am now are back in use but not on Unlimited Europe. Spent a lot of time looking for this facility Anybody help how I reach it

    Just continue using it if that is your choice - there is nothing forcing you to buy anything newer.  You might need to continue using the same computer as well.  Upgrading your computer could lead to an incompatibility between the software and the new system.
    Just so you know, CS3 is not eligible for an upgrade any longer as of January 1.

  • Why was I charged again after canceling my account?

    I spoke with an adobe representative 2-3 weeks ago about canceling my account and voiding the charge for my creative cloud subscription. The representative told me it would not be a problem and he would take care of this. Upon checking my bank account, the charge was initially refunded, but then I was charged again. What can I do to resolve this issue?

    I am user of Skype the last 2 and half years having an "Unlimited Europe" Subscription. 1) Today I discovered that  calls to Cyprus are not included in my subscription. I would like to know why you use the name "Unlimited Europe"  for the subscription? Do you consider Cyprus as non EU Member State? In any case I consider the name of your product totaly misleading and I would like at least an explanation by yourside for this. When I subscribed I was planing to have unlimited calls to Cyprus also!

    I completely agree. Cyprus is and always has been in Europe so the Skye unlimited subscription o Europe should include Cyprus. Indeed, the so called TRNC is also in Europe and is considered by the European Union to be part of Cyprus (although currently illegally occupied). The telephone code should not be what determines geography.
    When I spent several months recently in Africa I continued to pay my Skype subscription as I was entirely happy to continue to support Skype although I was very unlikely to be able to take advantage of the service because of poor internet connections. Now that I discover I cannot plan a trip to Cyprus using Skype I think I will be looking at VIBER and at least reducing my Skype subscription.

    I would like to know why my country, Romania is not part of Unlimited Europe Subscription, since it is member of European Union? I have noticed that the rates for calls to Romania are enormous comparing, for instance, to those for Greece and I dont understand why, since they have close geographical locational and same political apartenence, to EU.

    Just thinking here, but from what you describe, the duration of the EJBSelect is what is causing the timeout on the tx to occur and therefore it is part of the TX.
    You do a 15min EJBSelect as part 1 of the tx. It completes and the server basically then flags the TX as timed-out.
    When you next perform an operation within the same TX, you get the tx timeout. So the cause of the tx timeout is the (long!) EJBSelect?
    Or are you actually expecting to get a TX timeout notification occur during the EJBSelect operation, before it completes?

    I've had an Unlimited Europe annual subscription since May 2008. At the time I was paying EUR36.34/year. The subscription included a Skype Number, which I've had since then.
    Then in 2012, Skype has unilaterally decided to cancel my annual Unlimited Europe (no explanation given), and has moved my subscription to a monthly one (charged at GBP3.39/Month). They've also decided to unlink my Skype Number from my Unlimited Europe subscription, with the result that I had to pay for it separately, and I'm now paying a total of GBP60.81 (!!! twice the amount I've been paying until last year) for the exact same service.
    Two chat sessions (for a total of more than 4 hours) with their customer care have not solved a thing. The front line support has been very friendly, but essentially they've told me there's nothing they can do:
    - They say an annual subscription to Unlimited Europe is no longer available (which is not true, as I've created a new Skype account on which I was able to buy an annual Unlimited Europe, which however costs GBP58.51...aha! now I understand why they've cancelled my existing annual subscription, and pretend it doesn't exist anymore...it's because I signed up such a long time ago that my suscription was too cheap for them).
    - They say that since the annual subscription has been turned into a monthly one, I can't associate a Skype Number to it (which is, again, not true: I can do it, they just don't let me associate my existing Skype Number to my existing subscription).
    And all of this, they've confirmed in writing (either in the chat session, which I've recorded, or in an email after the chat session ended).
    To cut a long story short: if your business uses Skype (as I do), just be aware that when they unilaterally change the price of their subscriptions, they will find a way to take more and more of your money.

    I just had this very same problem but after research have found out why;
    Go to setting> phone> faceTime/ turn it ON.
    If this doesn't work, if restriction is enabled on your device then go to setting> general> restrictions> enter restriction code> faceTime/ set it on. I hope this helps!

  • How to add Unlimited China subscription

    I exceeded 400 mins within a month yesterday, when I just loged in and was gonna recharge, I saw this "Unlimited China" subscription, but when I clicked Continue and tried to add it, the subscription showed in my order became "400 mins" subscription, I tried multiple times, it was still "400 mins" subscription. I was wondering how I can add the "Unlimited China" subscription or this "Unlimited China" subscription was a fake one and was actually another saying of "400 mins" subscription. 

    I went through the online support to try to add the Unlimited China plan to my account and after about an hour they determined that the Unlimited China plan is no longer offered and that the website has not been updated to remove it as an option. This was about 2 weeks ago. I just checked today (05/09/14 (MM/DD/YY)) and it seems like it is still on the rates page for China. I'm not sure when they will actually update the site to reflect the changes. Apparently it takes them months to remove about 10 lines of HTML code from a web application. The online support I talked to was, of course, based in India and that's what took the bulk of my 1 hour. They couldn't understand what I was asking in English so I had to send them pictures before they could comprehend the situation. In the 1 hour process, they had cancelled my Unlimited World subscription to add the Unlimited China but then discovered they couldn't add it. I just left the Unlimited World subscription cancelled and decided to use QQ Messenger to talk to my friends/family in China. If Skype can't handle their subscription plans then I'm definitely not going to be subscribing to their service.
