As we know the indian market for nokia mobile is very huge, but still we get products which are of very low quality. Nokia mobiles in india are made in china factory. Product from finland are of best quality but we dont have any in india.
People from india are paying higher amouts on smart phones and are becoming aware of the products origins. Still we dnt get a quality produts. Recently i purchase nokia n8 for rs23000 and after 2 months its 3g network stoped working. They replaced full pcb. Why people will go for such a company products whos products doest last of 2 months. So please take this into consideration.

This post isn't about me asking for help. Instead it is a post about how to get a Mad Catz R.A.T. 3/5/7 mouse working. I'm posting this for future Archers who have bought one of these mice. They're a good mouse product but unfortunately there is a weird bug in the mouse's firmware that makes it "lose focus" on a desktop or "locks" your cursor into the middle of your screen seemingly at random. Your mouse might also fail to click on things in a window or on a desktop. It took me the better part of a day and a half to find the answers to fix this behaviour. I couldn't find anything on this forum so I'm posting this for future Archers. I am not the originator of the solution so I will post the relevant information from others' posts from two different web sources. If you're interested in the technical aspects of why this behaviour is present in this type of mouse please scroll down.*
The problem as summarised by the guy at Delightfully Linux:
if you plug in the mouse without modifying xorg.conf, the buttons become unresponsive and the Ubuntu desktop will appear to have locked up even though the cursor still moves. This is the same issue with the black R.A.T. 7, and it has the same solution.
He gives you one way to fix this:
Put the code below into /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Section "InputClass"
Identifier "Mouse Remap"
MatchProduct "Saitek Cyborg R.A.T.7 Albino" #change this if you need to by using input-list to generate the correct product code
MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*"
Option "ButtonMapping" "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 0 0 0 0 0"

That button remapping full of zeroes will not let you use the side scroll button or the red button.
However, another person posted a comment to Delightfully's blog who claimed that his code (below) will enable all of the R.A.T.'s buttons. I have tried it and it enabled my side scroll wheel for a few minutes. It did not last and I have no permanent fix at this time. If someone else does have a fix for the other two "buttons" on the mouse please post it!
The code which supposeldy enables all of the mouse's buttons is here:

I can verify that both sets of code do work on a R.A.T. 7 Contagion and that others affirm it works for a R.A.T 3 or 5.
One final method of fixing this without bothering with files in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d is to use a .Xmodmap in your home directory with this in it:

One final note: It seems that this mouse (on my rig at least) is incapable of scrolling in text boxes (such as the one I'm using to post this). I don't know why this behaviour is present but it was not like this, prior to using the previously written code that is, and I don't know if it is also fix-able. If you find out how to repair this function please post it in this thread.

Why did you buy a Nokia Laptop?

Just curious to know why anyone would buy a Nokia Laptop over the many alternatives out there.

I bought it for 5 reasons:
1. I liked the design and the Alu housing - it's really well build. I had an Acer netbook prior to this and it sucked in every way. hated the keyborad, the mouse pad, the screen, the plastic housing and the Acer name.
2. It has built in easy accessible 3G sim card slot, not like the Acer where the slot was behind the battery. It also has GPS and a nice SD card reader, which my camera also uses. So it's nice to have with me on vacation. HDMI is nice too.
3. It has a VERY nice battery time - I actually get 8-10 hours out of it effectively surfing the net full time.
4. I like the screen resolution, you can't go higher on a 10.1" screen.
5. I like the Nokia brand, it's Scandinavian like myself
What I feel they could have done better to justify the high price tag:
1. 11" screen instead of the thick black border around the 10" screen.
Do we need 1" border, ½" would have done it.
2. We need more ram, which we can't have because the 1 Gb ram is fixed to the MB.
3. I need light in the keybord, even though the battery life will suffer.....place an on/off light button for the keyborad in the next edition please !
4. Need a faster CPU. The Atom is outdated already.
That's it - 4 negative points. Correct these and you have a PERFECT netbook !!

Are you thinking of Photostream? That's a way of getting all your photos onto all your devices, that's all. Once there they have no connection at all.

How to get Chinese and Japanese input in X11?

I have tried a few things like building UIM, Canna, and Anthy, but nothing seems to work. For one thing, I seem able to compile and install the Canna library, but when I run ./configure for UIM, it can't find Canna.
Can somebody walk me through getting Chinese and Japanese input in X11?

Press Setup button
Scroll to Wireless Menu
Scroll down to Restore Network
Run the Wireless Setup Wizard to reconnect the print to your network
Press the ePrint icon on the upper left hand of screen
Follow the instructions to setup ePrint

Have you tried keeping power button depressed for 8 seconds until 3 vibrations felt which is synonymous with removing battery if it was feasible and then trying to re-boot normally?
