why does ibooks crash on ipad air using 8.02?

    Hi DizzyTaco2,
If you are having issues with an Apple application such as iBooks freezing or quitting unexpectedly on your iPad, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
iOS: Force an app to close
Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Best,

  • Newspaper web pages crash on iPad 2

I used to be able to read certain newspapers on my iPad 2 but lately some of them started crashing as soon as the page has loaded.
This happens also with newspapers where I am a paying subscriber.
    Any suggestions? Thanks

You could try restoring the iPad to Factory Settings (which will reload the iOS Operating System S/W):
    See here for details:

  • Safai crashing on iPad Air

Safari crashes on iPad Air. Rebooted, deleated history and cache and it still crashes at least once a day.

Safari has some bugs. Report your problems to Apple at http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html
Hope for some fixes in iOS 7.1.

  • Safari crashing on Ipad Air

My Safari keeps crashing on Ipad Air, is there a fix?

Sorry, a reset, etc., will not fix this problem. I and others here have been having constant problems with Safari crashing ever since iOS 7 first came out. In my case, as I've posted here, I've had this with iPad 2, iPhone 5, and now brand new iPad Air.  I have reset, cleared, reinstalled, restored, etc., you name it.  Nothing fixes this problem, which is clearly a major bug in iOS 7. Please let Apple hear from you about this problem through feedback directly to Apple:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/
There are numerous discussion threads here about the problem. Here's one of the two I started: https://discussions.apple.com/message/23889005#23889005

  • Why do Apps crash on IPad ?

Why do Apps crash on IPad 1 running he latest OS i.e. 5.1.1?

Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank and then power ON again in the normal way.] It is app and data safe!

  • Charged 3 Times(Web page crashed)

Hi, and welcome to the community!
If you check your subscriptions page you should find the renewal date is in 3 months time.
If it is not, you can submit an online contact form; someone at Spotify can sort this out for you.
Once you get an automated reply; make sure to reply to it directly (even if it's from a no reply); and it will be sent to the Spotify staff.

My credit card was charged 3 times but I only made 1 account the other two I never finished. I got to the college verification and then the Web page crashed and I had to start over. So I don't know if the other 2 accounts finished and they will keep charging me month to month. I would like to make one account and get charged for once. Is there anyway to fix it and get refunded or make that my next 2 month payments.

  • Why does it take so long to load a web page on my iPad

Why does it take so long to load a web page on my new ipad wifi

This is probably not a problem with the iPad, but with the wi-fi. If your internet connection and/or wi-fi speeds are slow, then loading web pages will be slow. If I was you, I would research different kinds of wireless routers to find the fastest one in your price range, and also research different kinds of modems.

  • Is there a way to view only desktop versions of web pages on the iPad?

Samsung galaxy a smaller actual mobile has the option to do this.. I've seen this question before and some people were wrong in saying that its up the programming discretion of the host website. It doesn't work for every site on my galaxy but it does for majority of pages I try it on. This tablet screen resolution and processor should allow any and every web page to be fine with viewing desktop versions and not limited mobile versions. This is why I try to tell my friends Apple is amazing but they aren't superior to all others. It's like being a sheltered kid who finished school and is working for his dads company (apple ) vs being out in the real world  (windows)
    I digress..
Is there an app I can download or some way I can program my iPad myself so it only opens desktop versions and gets flash player ? Also if anyone knows any websites where I can teach myself programming codes and mods that would really help also. Thanks

There are third-party browser apps that have settings within them to identify themselves as full browsers e.g. Atomic Web, and I believe the iCab Mobile browser also does (I don't have it so i can't check)
iCab indeed does allow for that

  • HT1766 Is anyone having crashes on IPad Air 128 gb?

My ipad is crashing multiple times throughout the day.  There is no rhyme or reason (I.e. App, process, etc.).  I see the apple in middle and f then black screen unable to do anything for a while.

    So here's an update:
    1) I went to the Apple Store to have my iPad Air looked at because the "Genius" was certain I didn't follow all of the necessary steps to resolve the issue... and it couldn't possibly be a hardware failure [sarcasm intended] "Not if it starts back up", a direct quote. So upon arrival, I explained what was happening, repeated what steps I took to resolve any software-related issues, and presented them with 2 pages of crash logs.
    2) Next, I was told they would be happy to replace my iPad, but unfortunately, they didn't have a 128GB version in stock. (Even though their own website showed the model as available AND I was told my iPad replacement would not be a refurbished model.) Then I was given the choice of having my replacement sent directly to the store (resulting in another Genius Bar appt. and return trip) or cancel today's service ticket and call Apple Care for an immediate replacement. I chose Option B.
    3) So I returned home and called Apple Care and had to re-explain the entire incident because the operator didn't have access to the original support ticket. Finally I was told they did not offer "express return" in my area (even though the Apple Store is only 20 minutes away – strange) and the only way they would send a replacement would be if I sent my iPad in first. I would then receive a return label in about 2 days, take another 2-3 days for them to receive and verify my return, followed by another 2 days to receive my replacement. What part of "I use this every day and can't afford to wait a week for a replacement" was unclear. So after reiterating my point, I was told it would be faster to return to the Apple Store and have them order a replacement so I could continue using my "crashing" iPad until a "new" one was received. Yes, that meant yet another trip to the Apple Store.
    4) Now, after making another appt. and returning to the Apple Store a 3rd time, guess what? They have to start all over. All this technology and nobody seems to know how to access and reactivate a previous support ticket. "So let me explain what's going on... again!" Finally I leave with my old iPad and I'm told my replacement should be available in 2-3 days (again, brand new ones sitting in stock) but I will need to make another Genius Bar appointment to pick up my replacement.
    5) Finally, today I get called, the replacement iPad is in and guess what? It is indeed a refurbished model as apparent by the condition of the body. Unbelievable.
So, in conclusion, I spent $800 for a brand-new iPad Air (kept in perfect condition), and 4 months into its 1-year warranty it up and dies and I get this kind of run-around from Apple? I’ve easily spent over 10K on Apple products in the past few years alone and this is how they treat a loyal customer? I’m sorry, but for a product under warranty and clearly not abused, they should have pulled a new one from stock and sent me on my way.

  • Web pages crash while browsing in safari

Web pages continue to crash even after trying a factory reinstall.

Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Or ....Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Or ....Quit all apps completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.

  • How can i install Pages on my IPad air?

I've downloaded Pages from the App-store on the IPad Air, but I can't get it installed! Anyone out there who can help me? What went wrong?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iDevice?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

  • ITunes u crashing on ipad air

Trying to start iTunes U on iPad Air crash all the time. I did most of proposals 'hard reset', re-install iTunes, restore from previous backup using iTunes. I get the application works once when I re-installed but crash all the time afterward. Current IOS 8.1.2.
On my iPhone 6 running with IOS 8.1.2 works with no issue all the time.

Doing a power off and power on also do the trick but will work once. If you exit the application by taping the home button once you can re-access the application again. At the moment you kill it, it will not restart until you power off and power on. Very annoying ...

  • Canot email in pdf from pages + keynote with iPad air

I can't email à document in PDF from pages and keynote with iPad air. I reset the iPad an it don't work

Can you mail the files in any other format at all? Did you try emailing a Pages file as a Pages file or as a Word doc?
OK. My response was too late. If you can email them in another format, I don't see how the problem could be with the mail app, but I suppose it's possible anyway. I know that you restored the iPad, and this should help, but try resetting all settings.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. No data will be lost but all of your settings will have to be entered again.
