It doesn't make sense to me why they changed this. Can anyone tell me the reason for the lack of colour ?
On another note, can the the sidebar be changed back to the right hand side in preview (when opening PDF's). It has always been on the right in snow leopard and tiger.
It seems to me that their has been too many unnecessary changes in the Lion operating system.

You'd have to ask Apple, no one here would know - we are just users like you and aren't allowed to speculate on these forums. You have quite a bit of company though - many people preferred the color.
And, I've not found a way to put the sidebar back on the right side in Preview, but maybe someone else can chime in with that.

Can I move the bookmark icon back away from the x-out icon?

With the latest version of Firefox the bookmark icon moved all the way to the right, just under the icon to x out of the system. It seemed really happy over the left where it had always been. Can I move it back?

How very annoying is this so called update, if you are right handed you generally hold the iPad in your left hand and use your right hand to type and use the tabs etc, because Apple have moved the favourite tab to the left it means you have to put your hand straight over the screen which blocks everything.
Ironically Apple have done some work on the favourites tab by rounding the icons book edges, pity they never thought more about how their customers have to use the tab, as opposed dressing up the favourite icon!

The t.v. show I'm trying to watch won't load. It doesn't make any sense because I can watch everything else.

The T.V. show I'm trying to watch on my MACBOOK AIR won't load. I got it from the iTunes store last night. I'm not complaining that it's slow.It pauses halfway through when I try to watch it. And yet everything else has loaded. HELP!
p.s. every thing before that episode is nice and black. So are the first 11 episodes. Everything after that is grayed out but I could still watch it. But why?

If your apps are up-to-date then there is nothing to download to update...the app store is telling you there is nothing for you to download.

Why is Firefox continually redirecting me away from the site I'm looking for?

You must create the account using an Apple device, a Mac (Lion or greater) or an IOS device (IOS5 or greater). Having done that you will be able to sign in from your Windows machine.
FYI, iCal is an application that can display calendars from iCloud (and others) it is not a calendar itself, merely a calendar client. In Windows Outlook is the calendar client.

I have tried all of the troubleshooting suggestions. I have no problem syncing or using the itunes store. I just can't get the update. I also have no problems with my iphone connecting to a wireless internet connection. Please Help!!!!!!

It's probably one of three things:
#your mouse is getting old (this behavior is common in old optical mouses);
#you have software that is making your mouse cursor behave unexpectedly (I know of an option in Windows that will automatically move your mouse to windows buttons...);
#or you may be having a problem with some extension or plugin that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

I'm using a Dell Inspiron 7520 ... pretty new. Sometimes when I download a CD / album to my library acouple of tracks get separated away from the main group. I've tried to click and drag the stragglers over to the main group but it doesn't work. Any Ideas

If I understand correctly, it sounds like iTunes is not grouping the songs from a particular CD together. The cause could be something as minor as a misspelling or slight variations. For more information, see the following resource:

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

How far away are you walking? Bluetooth has a range of 10 metres - less if there are walls and other obstacles in the way.

Is there a way to actaully talk to someone at apple whereby it doesn't cost money? I downloaded an app and now the stupid phone says that there is compass interference and to move away from the interference. Well, I am in the middle of a field. Now what?

I downloaded an app that cost $9.99 and when I tried to use it I get a message that says there is compass interference and to move away from the interference or wave the phone in a figure 8 pattern. What version of iPhoto and system are you running? What mode are you in, i.e. Events, Photos?
If it's the Photos mode the number at the bottom will represent the number of photos displayed in that mode or the number of photos selected in that mode. The number will match the number next to the photos mode only when there are no photos in that mode that are selected.
If you click on the Events icon and then back on the photos icon the numbers should match.

I thought this might be a bug, but I'm not sure anymore. I have Sophos for Mac and it hasn't noted any problems. What happens is that when I initiate a tap on the trackpad the cursor jumps away from the item or bubble I am trying to tap. It is annoying but not bothersome enough to ruminate about. I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem?

Do a backup, using either Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure files/data can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.
Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode. Shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application unistaller. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.
