Are you an administrative user?
Are you using any tools which impact System cache? If you are, stop. They are NOT maintenance tools despite their description. They should only be used to troubleshoot cache issues. They can create their own cache issues if you aren't careful, and I only recommend using them on systems that are already backed up. If you were using such a tool and found out how to remove it from its developer, including any supporting documents, and don't have a backup, still backup your data at least twice, as you may be able to import the data back once erase and installing the system. Let us know where you stand. If you aren't using such a tool, still backup your data at least twice, as there are other things that can corrupt or disable System Preference launching, but we can't tell safely unless your data files are backed up at least twice in two separate locations.

When I click on a bookmark, it will not open in a new tab, but I have this option checked?

I have two issues since upgrading to FF4. The first issue is, when I click on a bookmark it will not automatically open in a new tab. I do have this option checked in my preferences, but it will not work. The second issue is when I search in the Google box, I cannot click on the auto search option.

Bookmarks always open in the current tab unless you middle-click or use Ctrl + left-click to open the bookmarks in a new tab just like you do with other links.
There are extensions that can change that behavior.

I just uploaded to the newest version of Firefox. Now, when I click on a bookmark the link opens in the same tab - they won't open in a new tab. However, when I click on a link in an existing page that link opens in a new tab. I miss having my bookmarked links open in their own individual tabs. Please put that function back in.

Some add-ons like Tab Mix Plus offer that as an option, but I do not recall that ever being a built-in function if Firefox.

How can I click on a bookmark and have it open a new page? When I click a bookmark it always opens right in the sidebar, all my bookmarks disappear and I am left with two seperate pages?

I keep my bookmarks open at all times in the sidebar. If I want to go to a site, say Google, I must do a right click on the bookmark and then click on "Open In A New Tab" then the google page opens in a new tab.
I want to skip the second click. I want to be able to simply left click the google booknark in the sidebar and have google open in a new tab.
the way things are now, when I simply do a left click on the google bookmark the new google tab opens in tne sidebar itself. My bookmarks disappear from the sidebar and the google page is opened in the sidebar. So at this point I have two active page open at the same time.

Opening in the Sidebar is the default action for bookmarks that are created via a "Bookmark this Page" link or button on a website. Make sure you use the many "Bookmark this Page" methods that are in Firefox instead.
Right-click that bookmark and select '''Properties''', then un-check the preference for '''Load this bookmark in the sidebar''', and then click Save.

Проблема в том, что в Мозиле не работает функция "Открыть" закладку. В меню закладок выбираю нужную закладку, кликаю левой кнопкой сворачивается меню закладка не открывается. Чтобы открыть закладку мне необходимо правой кнопкой мыши выбрать "Открыть в новой вкладке" и только тогда открывается закладка. Кроме того, если правой кнопкой выбрать опцию "Открыть", то закладка также НЕ открывается. Проблемы начались с 31 версии Мозилы.

My understanding is that the default action for left clicking a bookmark is to open in the current tab. If you want to open in a new tab, the middle click button is usually the way to do it.
Alternatively, you can install the following extension which will force all bookmarks to open in a new tab:

Or this extension which will provide more options for tabs (including what you want):

When I click a link it just doesn't open. In a new tab or window the same link connects instantly.

On occasion when I click links in Firefox nothing happens. The connection doesn't seem to be made, I can click repeatedly, and still it doesn't follow the link. Then when I open a new tab, or window, and paste the same link, it goes instantly. Someone mentioned that this may be a Firefox addon problem. Looking at your installed extensions, I would be guessing either the Free Download Manager plugin or Skype extension (last is unlikely as it's deactivated, but you never know..).
You can test if it's an add-on problem by starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] - if there is no longer an issue in Firefox Safe Mode, it is almost certain that one of the add-ons are at fault.

When I click the facebook app it doesn't open the page.

I'm also having trouble with the facbook application on my Ipod Touch. When you try to click on a link within facebook, it doesn't go anywhere. I went and spoke with a person at the Apple store genius bar and they did a restore, and also reinstalled the application. This did not fix the issue. I then asked them to try it with another ipod and it did the same thing. The store rep said it was a problem caused by OS4 and he was not able to fix it.
Any thoughts on how I can resolve this issue?

I am coming across a probelm when using multipel tabs in FireFox6. If I open a new tab it takes several minutes for the address bar to become clickable to type. how do I fix this?.

Yes, it looks like a problem with WPM (WorkProtect Mode).
Have a look at this SAP NOTE : 734861. Incase of of iViews, if any data that you entered needs to be saved, then as per the configuration a new window opens up whenever you click any link. This allows you to continue working with the old window, save the data and thereby avoid loss of data. This configuration can be tuned to make it user friendly.
