Why when i copy paste documents from download to another folder,then i delete them from the downloads ,it will be erased at all?

is it ok to have the file in both downloads and document? it will not be more size?

How are you planning to store photos in iCloud? There are many ways to use iCloud with photos, but none will save space on your Mac:
iCloud Drive: Any photo you store on iCloud Drive will also have a shadow copy on your Mac, so you cannot save space, see: iCloud Drive FAQ
My Photo Stream: Photos you upload to My Photo Stream from your Mac, are also stored on your Mac. And My Photo Stream is only a temporary storage for a month. You cannot keep the photos permanently in My Photo Stream, see: iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ

i have some really old pics on my macbook and want to delete them.. but when i remove them they go to my 'trash' then i delete them from there they will go! but when i turn on my laptop next time there all there again how do i remove perminatly?
You remove them the same way you put them there. The sync process.
Deselect them in itunes and sync. -

OK, let's come back to the original issue; how are deleted messages retrievable?
First, is the account set up as an Exchange account or a POP account? I'll assume it's Exchange. If it were POP the answer is obvious.
If it's an Exchange account are you deleting the messages from the phone or from some other computer? If you are deleting them from another computer they will not be removed from the Trash folder on the phone until the phone next syncs AND the Trash folder is opened. But this will take time. You can force the Trash folder to sync in near real time by going into Settings/Mail,Contacts,Calendars, tap on the Exchange account, tap on Mail Folders to Push and check "Deleted Items". Note that doing this will result in increased data usage and reduced battery life.
If I haven't described the situation tell me what assumptions I made that are incorrect. -
I'm working hard a mastering the details of icloud and iPhoto. I would like to have a well designed sets of pictures to carry around on the iPad, but after months it seems I'm still surprised when I open my photo app. Pictures I don't care about are there; pictures I tried to have available to show are missing. Well, I'm slowly working through it. This is not my main question today but a referral to a good info source(s) would appreciated.
So why does it happen that when I copy pictures from Photo Stream to an existing album, then go and delete them from photo stream, they pictures are deleted from the album where I thought they would be safe?
Thank you!Pictures on Photo Stream remain there for only 30 days by design. So if you setup PS on your Mac and add photos to it they will display on the iPad. However, to remain on the iPad you will have to move them to the Camera Roll (I only have an iPhone and that's what it's called on it) in order to keep them permanently. This screenshot shows the save options on the iPhone when photos in the Photo Stream are seledted. Notice the option in the lower right hand corner:
It probably is similar on the iPad.
Or, you can put the photos in an album in iPhoto and connect the iPad to your Mac. Open iTunes and go to the iPad's Pictures section. There you can select the album in iPhoto and sync those photos to the iPad where they will be in the Camera Roll section.l -
I am trying to stop programs from opening automatically when I turn my computer on. I tried system preferences>users and groups>login items...then I deleted them itunes and emial from the list but it did nothing. They continue to open up every time I turn on my Macbook Pro.

Yes it is done through iTunes. The iPhone will never show up in Finder as a device. Why cant i copy/paste mps's into i-tunes folder?
i have a bunch of mp3's on my computer and i want to put them on my ipod.
i tried to copy the folders of the albums and paste them into the i-tunes folder with the rest of the albums that are on my ipod but the folders i past into itunes dont show up.
do i have to import the songs into itunes in order to get them to show up? this means i would have to burn a million cds and import them. there must be a better method.If the songs are on your computer, just drag the folder the songs are in, into itunes windows, it should put all the songs onto your itunes, thus they will go onto your ipod when it updates.

How ccan I redownload my music to the same computer. Downloaded, then deleted, now i tunes won't let me redownload, because I already downloaded. If I go through and try and repurchase the songs it will download them for me but I don't want to have to do that 250 times.
You need to delete the broken entries first, then the tracks will show up with the iCloud download symbols in your purchased histroy and IIRC you can download them all in one go.

Some books I purchased and downloaded free in my library in Itunes on my PC dont download properly when synced with my ipad, they only half-download. I then tried deleting them from ibook on my ipad but they just wont delete no matter method I try. I have found going to my pc and dragging them out of the library onto the desktop they show up as a pdf so I put them into bluefire reader on my ipad using the ap section on my pc. Dont know what is happening here. Since I downloaded the new version of itunes seem to be having lots of problems. I have sifted through everything I can find on the net and tried some things but nothing seems to work.
Beads63, have you rebooted the router, this is the most common fix. If you have and it has not worked have you any new electric items that could interfere or changed your set up at all?

Trying to delete items in the download area of iTunes...
I have six items that keep trying to download every time I start iTunes and I cannot find where to delete these so they don't download. They were free TV episodes and I don't want them anymore...any help would be appreciated. Running version 10.5.0.142 for Windows.

I went to
Libraries > Music > My Music > iTunes > iTunes Music > Downloads
The TV shows that I was trying to delete were all listed there - I deleted the files in each show's directory, then deleted each show's folder, then deleted the Downloads folder.
I probably could have just deleted the Downloads folder and saved a couple of steps but this worked.
I started up iTunes and they were gone from the Downloads section of the iTunes store.
However, they were still appearing on my account - I clicked on the download now and they have downloaded without the err = -39 and I deleted them once the download was complete.

Importing bookmarks from IE does NOT delete your Windows Favorites. They will still appear both in IE and on your Start menu > Favorites folder.
