Why when I press for siri does voice control come up instead of siri?
When we press and hold for siri voice control comes up, not the siri "how can I help you?" message. We can still enter an instruction, but voice recognition is horrible. Any help would be appreciated.
Have you enabled Siri in Settngs>General>Siri>ON. Also check your restrictions in Settings>General>Restrictions>Siri>ON.

Check Settings>General>Restrictions and see if they are turned on and Siri is restricted.

I bought an iPhone 5 in the US and brought it back to Brasil. Now I'm trying to use Siri, but once I press the "home" button "voice control" appears and it only works for me to call my contacts. The manual guide tells me to go to Settings>General>Siri. At the General menu "Siri" doesn't appear. What should I do to set Siri up if it doesn't appear at settings>general?

Why the **** is iTunes 11 so ****? I like every bit of how it looks good and new options, the thing i despise, cringe, shout and get angry about is WHY WHEN I OPEN UP iTUNES DOES IT HAVE TO SCAN FOR MUSIC THEN I LOSE ALMOST EVERY **** SONG?!?!?!?!?!? It is far to annoying to have to re-enter all my albums and music, pictures, names... etc. etc. why can't it be the usual open iTunes and listen to my playlists?
From the now playing screen, bring up the scrubber bar(tap the screen):
A small icon that looks like two circular arrows is on the left side below the scrubbing bar. Tap this icon once to repeat the album. The icon will turn blue when repeat is activated. Tap the icon again to repeat the current song. The icon will change to show the number 1 inside a blue circle. Touch the icon a third time to cancel any repeat. The icon will turn white when it's deactivated. -
Why does voice control keep coming on when i use my ipod
When I'm using my ipod (on the iphone 3 GS), the music will play and then all of a sudden the voice control comes on and interupts the song. I can't get it it stop. I'll click to cancel but then a few seconds later it comes on again and again. I'm using the headphones that came with the phone (white ones). Sometimes I put the phone in a case and strap it to my arm. Other times the phone will just be sitting on the excercise machine but the voice control keeps coming on even though the button isn't being pressed. Any ideas what to do??

Why, when I sync my iPhone does it always take all my apps out of their neat sorted little boxes of twelve Apps organised by a commonality and rearrange them over a dozen screens in random order? Each time I sync, I have a 1hr long task of relocating apps.
Why no tleave them spread out I hear you ask... That is not practicable. I then have 12 pages to scan rather than just two. I need a solution... :-PI realize this is an old thread but I'm having the same problem after upgrading my software today. Kinda surprised there are no solutions at all with 88 views. I have an iPod touch btw, not an iPhone, but it prob wouldn't make much difference in this case.
The thing is, I get the screen(s) looking EXACTLY as I want on iTunes...just perfect (which is what I believe everyone else is experiencing as well). When we go to sync tho, it does whatever it wants to do. After syncing, all the apps are there, it's just that for me, it puts them in some type of random order. I have 72 apps and this is absolutely ridiculous!

try pressing the shift and 2 key to get the @ symbol.
if that doesn't work for you - go to system preferences - keyboard and change it there.

Some advice from various locations on the web (use google). Each works for some users, not all. Give these a try.
Try to deauthorize the computer then authorize it.
select song or app. that's not authorized, itunes will ask for your password, enter password, click ok, and ok again. Done.
I had the same problem when I switched from my laptop to a macbook. What I figured out was that I had purchased applications under two different email addresses. You can click on one of the applications that is not syncing and go to "File" then "Get Info" to find out what email address you used to purchase those applications. Hopefully this helps.
Sometimes a reboot of either the computer or the iPhone or both fixes this, if you’ve authorized already. -
I have had to restore my Ipod Touch and now I can't connect to anything on it. When it asks for my Apple ID it comes up with an error message and says that it can't connect to the server. I have checked my WiFi connection and its connected.

when i search for mp3 files spotlight shows id3 tags instead of filenames as it used to do !!! I DONT want that .. how can i disable it !!!!!???????
Sorry, my handful of mp3's had the file name as the id3 tag name.
So, I am seeing the same thing as you.
Oddly, a while back I was trying to help someone out in Mountain Lion that wanted to see the id3 tags in the Finder.
It's all a bit silly. They should have added columns instead or changing it to tag song name.
They are transitioning to having everything reflect the content and not the file system, so this may not be reversible.
