Why when I purchase a song using my iPhone 5, it is not then showing I my music app?? Annoying!
Ok so just found out I can't sync my already purchased songs from iTunes until mac os is updated. However now I can't get songs purchased using my iPhone 5 to show in my music on the phone?????? Any ideas??
There is an issue with the way the account is set up. Songs cannot download "from" a phone or iPod. But the settings can be set for auto download from the account.

I have purchased some songs on my iPhone and my iPod and when I sync them to my iTunes account they get duplicated. Both songs work. I can't deselect one, when I try it deselects both. Same if I try to delete one. I can delete it from my iPhone or iPod, but when I sync them it gets put right back on there.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
If the issue persists, take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement. -
Why do I have extra songs in my iPhone playlist that are not on my iTunes library?
After doing the iOS7 update (and iOS7.0.2) I decided to add my music to my phone (I never had music on it before).
I discovered that there were 20 very random and obscure broadway songs that were on my iPhone in addition to the 60 songs I just synced. They had the iCloud icon by them, unlike the songs I had just added.
After doing research I found that the broadway songs were technically "purchased" on iTunes although they are not songs I would have ever purchased- in fact I have never once purchased anything on iTunes. This isn't my worry though, I am assuming it must have been some random free download I did at some point?
I went to settings > music > and turned show all music off. This did NOT work for all of them and only solved the problem 80%. There are still 4 of the random song on my iPhone. They DO NOT show up in my iTunes library on my computer and don't even exist on my computer.
With the other songs I can left swip and delete but these 4 songs won't! Why won't these four songs left swipe?
I am going crazy and have tried restarting my phone, restarting iTunes, re-syncing, turning off the iCloud. NOTHING WORKS.
Please help. I am a normally a very smart and tech-savvy person and I cannot for the life of me figure this out. I don't want to wipe everything- which as a solution is a pretty weak solution.

Seriously p*ssed me off when I checked out my ITunes purchased items (via my computer) and noticed that most of the additional tracks listed on my IPhone playlist was listed there too. However, I never authorized any purchases!! (I have actually written Apple Support asking for a full refund of all tracks listed on my purchased list)
Be careful when you swipe your finger to the left/right on those "additional" tracks on your IPhone playlist... I'm pretty sure that the cloud symbol is an option to download or automatically buy those tracks.
Solution for the problem:
1 - go to your IPhone settings
2 - choose "iTunes & App Store"
3 - go to "Show All" & "Music"
4 - turn off "Music" by moving the bar to the left (it should be a white color once you turn it off)

I was putting music on my phone but realized it didnt have album artwork. So i deleted the albums to get the artwork but when i went to go reload it on my phone it wont show up on it. HELP!!
Where are you looking? Was the album purchased from iTunes using the same Apple ID that is signed on to the device?

When you purchase a song by a particular artist, why does;t iTunes prompt you about duplcates?
As noted above iTunes Plus songs can be recognised by a plus sign beside them. If I recall the early launch information the iTunes Plus songs are predominantly EMI releases but other labels may also have iTunes Plus content available now: iTunes Plus FAQ

Hey:-) i had that problem with a couple of songs!
i know how to get rid of it,
1. connect your ipod/iphone to your pc
2. open itunes
3. log in to the store
4. then in the top right corner of the store, where it should say your email address, click the arrow that points down when your hover over it.
5. then go to account
6. then it should say downloads whn it brings up your accounts page
7. press download now
to transfer them to your ipod or iphone
1. go to purchased in the side bar underneath the headline itunes store
2.drag them to where your put your music onto your ipod

Why when im streaming my songs for my library on my apple tv does it censor the songs and how do i turn it off?
I use iTunes Match, and I notice that when I play "matched" versions of 2Pac's "I Ain't Mad at Cha", all of the curse words are skipped over. Just to make sure it wasn't my copy of the track, I played it off of my permanent library, and the song plays properly. So I believe that Apple has seen fit to censor the song. I haven't read about this anywhere, but I'm pretty upset about it. I own the track -- I have a copy of 2Pac's Greatest Hits, which I ripped. If I turn off iTunes Match and transfer the song to my mobile devices with a USB cable, I could play it the way I want to hear it. I think iTunes Match is a fantastic concept, but I don't need Apple deciding what kinds of music I should or shouldn't be listening to.
Incidentally, I haven't noticed other tracks with curse words censored. It may be that I loaded them onto my mobile device before Apple began censoring. -
