Blue indicates it was sent as an iMessage, green was sent as Text message (SMS)

Good question!
Blue messages are iMessage conversations (Apple's messaging service)
Green messages are SMS - standard text messages.
SMS is the acronym for Short Message Service.
MMS is the acronym for Multimedia Message Service (audio, pictures, video can be added to messages).
With MMS turned on, you will see a little camera icon in the bottom left corner of your screen when you are in the Messages app. Also you will see the word iMessage where you type your text.

What happens when you try? Do you have an active data connection? Are you sending to someone else who has iMessage? Without some details, there's not much we can do to help.

When using my iMac the screen turned blue and so I turned the compute off. When I turn on again power does get to the computer but there are no chimes and the screen remains black. Any advise please. David

To start troubleshooting this issue where your iMac's screen will not illuminate, please reset your SMC by following the information outlined below.
Resetting the SMC for Mac Pro, Intel-based iMac, Intel-based Mac mini, or Intel-based Xserve
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord.
Wait fifteen seconds.
Attach the computer's power cord.
Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: For Intel-based Xserve computers that are not responding, you can shut down locally, or by using remote commands, or by pressing and holding the power button for five seconds.

My iPhone 5 constanlty reboots, sometimes the screen turns blue and the unit reboots and sometimes it just shuts down. Any Suggestions?
I am having the same problem with my ipad air but mine is so severe that it's just rebooting non stop. I guess the battery will die eventually but it has rendered the device useless. I guess I will be taking it back to apple. Very disappointed. Never had an apple product in 20yrs have such a severe problem.

If you schedule a meeting or accept the meeting, the presence can change to “In a meeting” when the meeting starts.

How come sometimes I can load FB and other times I get the "this is a not trusted site?"
Sometimes I can get right into FB, this also happens on Internet explorer. And sometimes I get the not a trusted site message. If it is happening on Firefox it will also be on IE and Goggle at the same time. Sometimes I get into FB then cannot contact to Farmville. Yet 5 minutes later I can get in. Very,Very frustrating. There are two things to check.
* Check your system clock.
Sometimes the clock / date is wrong, and causes problems like this. Open
your clock (normally you right click its icon). Go thru its menus to check for
the correct time, and time zone. Also, make sure that the option to
'''Synchronizing with an Internet time server''' is turned on.
Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

Help! The Lion Sleeps Tonight - and other times as well!
2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2 GB memory running OS X Version 10.7.2 and it breaks. Frequently, it lapses into a screen of chess squares with vague lines over the dim background of what was there before. From there, nothing works but the off button.
I wait patiently for a software upgrade to make it all go away, but I envy my wife beside me who never jumped into the Lion's den and now goes sailing along, carefree as you please. Wish I had done restrained my newer-better-faster impulse.
Any hope?Try the remaining items of:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I have disabled SMS messaging and use only imessage but how come it's blue when I message one iphone user and green when I message another? I thought you could imessage between any iphone.
It's possible one recipient has disabled iMessage and the other hasn't.
Also, it sometimes takes and initial SMS to shared the keys from each device to enable the secure iMessage channel. Subsequent messages would then be iMessage enabled. -

Some phones can only send and recieve SMS messages. If the recipients phone doesn't support MMS they won't be able to recieve a text with a photo.

Blue bubbles are using for iMessages, so problem with receiving is in iMessage.

Datafile corrupted On standby database
