With that said, you can always re-download your apps from the purchased section of the app store on your iPad.

Apps are only tied to one account... You can set up two iTunes accounts on your computer, however, and let his iPad sync to his account. If he has never backed up his apps to a computer, however, he will have to redownload all the apps. Afterwards, he can backup to iCloud instead of your computer.

Where were you storing your contacts? In the cloud? In outlook? Synch them back from wherever they were being stored.

If they are still on your Mac's drive then you should be able to add them back into iTunes via File > Add To Library

Backup do not contaiuns music or apps, you will either need to resync them from your itunes computer, or you can go to purchase history in itunes or app store app and go to purchase history and redownload them.

You need to enter the Apple ID and password that was used to set up/activate the phone. There is no way around this.

I went to update my phone and after the update I recieved a message that it failed and that the back up failed. I had to restore my phone to stock. I just want to know if there was a possibility to get my pictures back. I tried to get my phone to restore from my last back up but it wouldn't do that either. Does anyone have any ideas. I am really only worried about my pictures and videos I had a couple hundred and they were important.
Thank you. I have been reading about a lot of these occurances and many people have been able to get their pictures back through iexplorer however I am unable to. The error number I got was 50 or something like that. I have a feeling I will not be able to get the pictures back because it said the backup failed after the update failed.

I just updated my ipone, and it said before the update that all my data and pictures and things would be backed up to my computer. Afterwards all my pictures are gone and I can't locate them on my computer, in any of my files or anything.
Is there a way to restore them or find where iTunes saved them to?Have you not been using your phone as intended? Pictures taken by your phone (like any camera) should be imported to your computer for archival and safe keeping as soon as possible after taking--and certainly before doing any updating of the phone's operating system.

My sister updated my software under her name anmd now my ipod has all her pictures, music, information, and all my apps are gone. I want all my information back and i can't find out how. My ipod is listed under her name now too. I called apple but they want 30$ to fix my problem. Any help?
You need to go to your syncing computer and restore the iPod from backup. The apps and songs also have to be on the computer/iTunes library since they are not i the iTunes backup.

You can not merge accounts.

When an iPhone updates, it wipes the whole device clean and then reinstalls the software and then the backup. Obviously you didn't create/couldn't create a backup either via iCloud or iTunes. You can get your apps back when you go to App Store>Updates>Purchased and download the apps you want.
