I always lock my ipod mini and then put it in my bag while I'm using it, but as soon as it touches something in my bag it pauses. Should it pause with the lock on? It's really annoying as I have to unlock it to unpause it, and then it just pauses itself again. Grrrr.

If you are using an third-party headphone set, or your headphone minijack connection is slightly loose, then every time it moves, the iPod senses that and pauses the music.
It is a 'feature' to stop the music playback should you remove the headphones from the iPod. It can be a bit sensitive given the 'wrong' conditions.
No way to turn off this feature, so you'll need to experiment with keeping the jack from being jostled.

Well, repying to my own post... Might have found the solution: I tried to do the same with a Macbook Pro 2010 using the very same setup. And it worked perfectly! No freeze, no nothing.
One explanation I see:
my iMac is dating back to May 2007, a Core 2 Duo 2,16Ghz with 2 Go of RAM.
So the computer's characteristics (or the Wifi component or the combination of all of this) might be not robust enough to allow streaming to those 2 devices...

Make sure the correct device is selected.

Your AirPort Extreme supports WPA.
WEP is outdated and considered fairly useless, so use WPA.
Be sure you are using AirPort Utility 5.6. If you are not running Lion then use AirPort Utility 5.5.3.
AirPort Utility 6.0 cannot administer 802.11b/g base stations.

Have you held the power button down for 10+ seconds? That should turn it off.

Is this a problem with the Sudden Motion Sensor or the HDD?

I have a MacBook that I purchased in Septemberof this year, and for a while I have been having a problem with the HDD. I understand that there is a Sudden Motion Sensor that parks the hard disk when the computer is moved suddenly, but every hour or so I can hear the HDD make a single loud click for seemingly no reason at all. The computer can be sitting on my desk with no applications running and this will still happen. This is not really much of a problem other than the annoying noise, but if I am playing music or a video from the HDD it will skip when it does this. I have disabled the SMS for now to see if it will make a difference, I am very careful with my devices so I do not fear that I will cause any HDD damage without the SMS, but I am not sure if it is a problem with the HDD or the SMS. Could anyone shed some light on this for me?

Well turns out disabling the SMS did nothing so I'm going to just take it in and hope it can be fixed.

Since Firefox 32.0 was downloaded on 3/9/14 I am experiencing brief hanging when clicking onto websites or links. Is this a problem with the new version of Fire

If I click onto any link or webpage I am quite often getting a briefing 'hanging' before Mozilla responds. I also get a message at the top of my screen stating that Firefox is not responding and the loading symbol justs spins in circles until it eventually frees up and opens the page. Prior to Firefox 32.0 being downloaded on 3/9/14 I had no problems with this 'hanging' at all. I can only assume it is a Firefox issue as I do not have the same issues if I use Internet Explorer or any other programs installed on my computer.

You can check for problems with the history that is stored in the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

The screen lock function has moved to the MT bar which you would know if you had looked around here or done a search. There have been many posts on this subject.
Double tap the home key, swipe to the right, and there is your new lock function on the left!

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

Does this mean my phone hasnt updated at all since that time?

I have read on this message board that getting a new sim card has been a fix for others but that several have had to get the phone replaced. I purchased this phone in September of last year shouldnt it have updated by now?

Although you said u checked time zone setting, just double check it to make sure.

Last night I went to check my emails on my ipad and noticed that all of my inboxes (gmail, yahoo and exchange) were completely empty. I logged on to each individual site on my computer and the inboxes were empty there as well, with no trace of the lost messages in any trash folders or other folders. Obviously this is completely unacceptable as I have lost hundreds of important emails. Upon searching online I found that other people have experienced the same exact thing but apple has provided no explanation. As the only device that I use to access these 3 email accounts is my ipad I feel like it must have come from there. The chance of all 3 servers malfunctioning and clearing my inboxes at exactly the same moment last night is too ridiculous to contemplate, despite being suggested by the customer service advisor that I just spoke to. And I have no other evidence that my accounts have been compromised, and they have separate usernames and passwords anyway. Has this happened to anyone else? Or can anyone provide any sort of explanation? Thank you

You're welcome. As to checking speed go to http://speedtest.net/ and it will choose the closest server for you. BTW, whatever you do, don't click on the robot icon that says "Start Scan" or MacKeeper below that. Only use the speed test in the middle that has the button BEGIN TEST on it. It will run a download speed test first and then an upload speed test. The download test will give a much faster response.

You need to break the "while(win.isOpen())" loop after you win.close(). The segfault is occuring because you glDrawElements() one last time after you've already closed the window (and presumably destroyed the openGL context).
I'd suggest using gdb to attack bugs like this. It can be extremely helpful:

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

alright when i plug my shuffle into the usb port, nothing happens what so ever. it doesnt charge, doesnt get reconiged by my computer or anything. what should i do?
