Why will FireFox not work on my system? (Windows 7) Help.

This is the error message I receive when attempting to open FireFox
"Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible."
I do not like using any of the "Brand-X" browsers and I wish to have FireFox working again. My operating system is Windows 7.
Please help. I do not know what to do.

Could you try starting Firefox in the Profile Manager and create a new profile? Here are the steps:
Start up in the Profile Manager using Start > search box (or Run):
firefox.exe -P
This should display a dialog. Normally, at least one existing profile is listed, but it sounds as though yours will be empty.
Click the Create Profile button and choose any name you like for the profile. Skip the option to customize the folder location and save your new profile. Then select it in the box and start Firefox in that new profile.
Does it run?

I have used Firefox for years, as the fastest and most reliable browser for me, esp in China... not anymore! Last month (unknown to me) a hijacker called Vosteran took over my Firefox browser. I finally realized it and got it cleaned up using Malwarebytes anti-malware, and downloaded a new Firefox... now SAME problem exists, even with Vosteran removed!
Firefox will not allow me into ANY normal sites, saying they don't have the proper security code. This includes my Yahoo front page, email account, ESPN and other common sites that are certainly NOT dangerous. So, WHY does Firefox not work anymore? It is useless to me here in China the way it works now.

if this doesn't solve the issue (or it is already set properly), a possible solution depends on different factors:
* what is the '''error code''' shown under ''technical details'' on the error page?
in case the error code equals ''sec_error_unknown_issuer'', please attempt to add an exception on the bottom of the error page (but don't do it for real) and inspect the certificate (see the screenshot attached for instructions):

Why will ituntes not work on my surface tablet?

I have downloaded iTunes twice to my tablet and it says it cannot run iTunes and redirects me to the app store on my windows surface RT tablet32gb

You should read about Windows RT, it is not a 'standard Windows computer' but a version created for ARM (a different platform), as such many applications do not work with ARM on Windows a.k.a 'Windows RT'.

Unless Apple make a version for Windows RT it seems unlikely that iTunes will ever work, sorry you will have to find an alternative in the Windows App store.

Why will firefox not start on my laptop? can't uninstall or open the profile manager either. it simply does not run. it used to work fine until i had to restore my system.

had firefox 4.0 & have been a user of firefox for a few years now. never had any problems. had to do a system restore after my computer detected a virus of some sort & i couldn't do anything. the virus kept popping up a bogus add for me to buy an antivirus program. had to restart laptop in safemode to initiate the restore. ever since then firefox has not opened. can't even uninstall it or open the profile manager. anything that has to do with firefox will simply not run/open at all. i'm stumped.

System restore can cause problems as well as solve them, it has probably completely mucked up your Firefox installation.
Try deleting your Firefox installation directory, the default location on 32 bit Windows is C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\
Now re-install Firefox, it should pick up your current profile folder so you should not lose your bookmarks, passwords etc.

Why will this not work for combo box

I need to know why this will not work a combobox but it works for text fields. Isay ther is an error in the doc.createTextNode.
Please any help would be great.

Why will Firefox not start on my windows laptop but it says it is open in background

since last update, firefox will not start even after repeated attempts. It is apparently open as i cannot delete it from the laptop untill I restart laptop.
I am running Windows 7 and i run Thunderbird successfully on my machine. I am forced to use IE to get onto the internet.

Jan 10 windows 7 patches, plus new firefox update today. Now firefox starts up and shows multiple, stacked window frames and "firefox not responding" messages on top border. after multiple firefox screen flashes (minutes of time), firefox may eventually display normal windows/frames. Selecting new site, firefox goes through same activities. Startup site is www.baynews9.com, then try going to www.cnn.com

Why will Firefox not download on my computer?

I have Windows, and have clicked the Firefox download button SEVERAL times....then I will click Run. It loads its 60 second thing and then nothing happens after that. Why will firefox not allow me to change the home page

I am running firefox on vista laptop and since one of the upgrades of firefox I have now a automatic homepage of http://www.searchqu.com/406. I have tried to change it several times to various pages and it does not hold the address, not even a blank one. This happens even if I only close the browser for a split second. I just upgraded from on old iMac. Dealing with unhappy kids becuase the minecraft game they loved won't work on the new one.
I've installed Java for Lion. I go to the minecraft site and try a single player game. We get application errors.
I suppose its an older game that is not compatible with Lion, right?
I see I can purchase a download for 20 euros. Should that work?

Why will Firefox not open links on website I create with Dreamweaver?

When i create a link to another web page, I cannot open the link in Firefox. I can in IE, but not in Firefox. I am working in Dreamweaver CS6

Such code should be working.
Do you see the correct URL popping up at the bottom of the screen when you hover such a link.
If that isn't the case then right-click the link and use Inspect Element to check what Firefox sees at that position.

I cannot get iTunes to work on my desktop computer. I had a crash some time ago and think it may have to do with a missing driver. I hope someone can help me with this problem. I can access iTunes on my laptop but it is not convenient.
