Why will PDF not open from email?

I recently modified my Adobe Reader 9.1 (with instructions from the bank) to be able to electronically sign documents.
Since then I can not open any PDF documents from email. I went back and reversed the changes I made. I uninstalled Adobe and reinstalled it. No luck.
I have to save the documents and open them from Windows Explorer.
Any Ideas?

A fast workaround for PDF problem (See my original post)
In Firefox:
Open Tools > Options > Under Main tab click Save files to > click Browse
Scroll up or down to find where you want it to go (I put mine under Documents because it's the easiest to find).
Click New folder and label it something you will quickly recognize.
Now when you click on a PDF attachment it will automatically be sent to that file and you can double click or open
it in Adobe Reader

(Note) If I use Internet Explorer (I have not used IE in years) I can open PDF's from Hotmail with out a problem.

Might be corrupted Safari preferences ...
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type of copy paste the following:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.Safari.plist file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari and try setting your hompeage.

Why i couldn't open email that sent from Outlook?

                 Please help me for this matter, i had bought my BB Curve 8520 for just only 5 days and use latest firmware. I have setup 2 emails 1.) hotmail 2.) Outlook (Official mail) i found this issue after i had setup my office email for a few days.
                Issue is when i open email that sent from Outlook (Official mail) that contained file .png or attached with file .png by using HTML my bb couldn't open it, it will stuck but i can use any function but just the email that didn't open.
                I ha contacted with my Local support, they inform me to do the hard reset, after i had hard reset it working fine with same email that couldn't open previously. After one day had past it has the same issue again.
Please help me to fixed this issue, thank you in advance.
P.S. I had never install any unauthorized program.

Photoshop doesn't do anything special or different when a file is sent from an attachment. However, when you send an attachment from Outlook to Photoshop, that file is actually downloaded to your computer in a Temp folder before it is sent to Photoshop. Often times the permissions on this folder can be such that it prevents access. Other than that, all Outlook does is simply drop the file onto the Photoshop app file. The only thing that would involve Photoshop directly is if there are some damaged files involved with its connection to the rest of the system. If this is the case a reinstall would fix it. Otherwise, check the permissions on the Outlook temp folder (or at least the JPEG file it is trying to save).

Had the same problem. AOL had been working for months, stopped working for no reason. I checked the settings against aol's instructions and the username was wrong - aol state that the username should not have the @aol.com suffix but it did. The next problem encountered was that the iPad would not let me change the username under outgoing smtp settings. Answer is to do the following:
Go to settings -> mail ->aol account ->outgoing mail server.
Turn the primary smtp server off.
Create a new one for smtp.aol.com with the username without @aol.com at the end and your password.
The rest of the settings should populate automatically.

A Photoshop installation is tied to the machine it was installed on. Moving it to or from a hard drive breaks the licensing.
The answer is easy: Reinstall CS4 from your disc. and apply all updates.

I have removed all iphoto files and avatars as one person has suggested. I am suppose to reinstall iPhoto using the discs that came with the computer.
I am not sure what to do with any options that might be provided. Any help will be appreciated.

Sometimes it doesn't really depend on your ISP download speed, it depends on how busy the developer's servers might be. For instance, last night I downloaded an 800+MB file from the Apple Developers website. What usually takes less than 30-40 minutes took over 3 hours because so many people were hitting the servers and the same files at the same time.
So if your download speed is fast via your ISP, remember that things on the server side may be slow or busy: and that's going to take additional time to download.
Just curious as to what your download speed actually is and what size the files were that you're trying to download?

Why am I not receiving emails that I know have been sent to me??

I am not receiving emails into my Mail program. I know that I have been sent emails, in fact I have sent myself tests from both the email as well as my Yahoo account. Neither have come through. I have tried the "send/receive" button and it does not register that there are any emails. This is an ongoing problem and the emails will sometimes come through hours later (if not the next day). My coworkers are not experiencing this problem at all. This is seriously effecting my ability to respond to my clients - since I'm not getting their emails.

I actually saw your post below on another listing and have just finished trying it...unfortunately it did not work. I have also checked my Quota Limits and we have 858GB and my account states it is using only 2.9GB. So VERY odd and frustrating...Any other ideas are greatly appreciated!
Also, I am trying to go through and remove attachments without deleting the entire email. I found online how to do this, however, it does not seem to be working...any ideas?
Thirdly, do you know if having your Inbox organized into numerous folders/subfolders would increase the amount of space used and could be causing these issues?

Why will music not open on my iPad?

For the last week or so, whenever I open the music app on my iPad all I see is a blank library screen for a second and then the app closes itself. I have tried pressing the home button twice and closing all open apps, rebooting the iPad several times and connecting the iPad to my laptop to see if that helps. None of this has worked. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Take the tick out of Manually Manage in summary tab. Go to Music, Films, Podcasts, etc tabs and recheck your sync options are as you want them to be. Then right click your device at left of iTunes page on your PC and click sync - it may be better if you have your device connected by cable to speed up any resyncing operations. Test your Music App.
If you still have problems. Disconnect your device.
Navigate to Settings\General\Reset of your ipad and select Reset all Settings. Close iTunes on your PC while this is being done. When the reset is finished, open iTunes and reconnect the cable, allow the sync to complete.
It may be necessary just to go through your ipad settings afterwards to ensure any non defult settings are put back how you want them. Perform a backup and sync when finished all operations.
If Music App is still not performing correctly, IE closing straight away, then it may be necessary to restore your device's firmware. Come back and let me know how you get on.

i recently got a new charger for my macbook pro because my old one had stopped working, so my computer had not been charged for about a week or a little longer. once i started up my computer i noticed that it started to freeze alot and itunes would no longer open so i deleted the application folder and tried redownloading it and now it wont even show up in my recently downloaded file. i have an iphone so i use itunes alot. any ideas on what going on or what i can do to fix this problem??

Yes, it asks me to download 10.6.3 but when i click update it says. The update “iTunes” can’t be installed. The update could not be verified. It may have been corrupted during downloading. The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs. I have updated all other updates and restarted the computer multiple times with no luck.

In Safari, certain websites show documents as Adbobe PDFs, but Safari won't allow them to open. This issue does not occur in Chrome or Firefox.

Back up all data before making any changes. Please take each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.

If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, and the problem is just that you can't print or save PDF's displayed in Safari, you may be able to do so by moving the cursor to the the bottom edge of the page, somewhere near the middle. The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others—I don't have a complete list. Don't remove Silverlight if you use the "Netflix" video-streaming service.
Step 6
Do as in Step 4 with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari.

Why will CS4 not open DNG files converted from Olympus E-M1 raw files?

For several years I have been able to use the DNG Converter to convert .ORF raw files from my Olympus E-M1 and then open them for processing in CS4. Suddenly CS4 quit recognizing these DNG files saying "Photoshop could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file"
I have not changed any preferences. I'm using E-M1 v3.0, DNG Converter v8.3.0.141 on a Mac. I have deleted DNG converter several times, even reinstalled an earlier version but nothing changes.
However, CS4 will open DNG files converted from Pentax raw .PEF files from my K-5. Weird. It's the Olympus raw DNG conversions that won't open.
I can view the DNG converted files in question in Mac's Preview just fine but not CS4. Any ideas will be appreciated.

Why will spreadsheet not open?

I am trying to open a recent spreadsheet but get the message that I need a newer version of Numbers. However when I check in the App store ,it shows the latest version is already installed. I am sure this was done when I updated to Mavericks in October 2013.
Any suggestions to overcome this blockage would be appreciated. I am on OSX 10.9.1.

This is confusing to a lot of people. When you downloaded the new version of Numbers the old version remained on your Mac. The new version is in Applications. The old version is in a subfolder within Applications. The icons look similar so it's easy to think you're trying to open a document with the new version whereas in fact the old version has been activated and is trying to open it.
If you tend to open documents from Finder then right-click and Open With ... Numbers.app (3.0).
Or you can open Numbers 3.0 (the one in the Applications folder, not the iWork '09 subfolder) and open the document from there.
Any icons you had on the Dock before the upgrade are of course still pointing to the old version.
