Why will links in Outlook Express emails no longer open a tab in Firefox?

Before firefox update, when I clicked a web link in an Outlook Express email, Firefox would automatically open and go to the correct website. This no longer happens. Where do I change the settings?

You can look at the network.protocol-handler.external.mailto prefs on the about:config page.<br />
If network.protocol-handler.external.mailto prefs are user set (bold) then right-click and Reset them to the default value.<br />
You can also try to change the network.protocol-handler.warn-external.mailto pref to true.<br />

Pictures embedded in outlook express emails do not open

Since switching from IE to this browser I have been unable to open pictures within an email (not attachments). I do not have this difficulty on my older PCs running IE. The operating system is Windows 7. The email is Outlook Express.

When I click on a link in an email (I use Thunderbord) it no longer opens a tab in Firefox for that web page. This started about the time I installed FF v.4. Any ideas?

I've done some looking but have not found anything about this problem.
More details --, if I get an email (Thunderbird, latest version) that has a link in it, it will be highlighted but now when you click on it to go to that web page or site nothing happens. I've looked through HELP and tried various option settings and also thought it might have something to do with an add-on but I have not found any way to turn this feature back on -- that is, be able to click on the link in the email and open that web page.
I can copy the link location and paste it in the navigation tool bar and go there, it's just another step.
Any ideas?

I seem to have solved my own problem. When I disabled the add-on "Tab Renamizer" everything started working fine.

HT204150 I linked my outlook express with icloud, not realizing it would change my outlook express contacts. I deleted email addresses from my iphone which in turn deleted them from my PC. Is there any way to get these addresses back?

It's Outlook, not Outlook Express (different program) and if you have now deleted them from iCloud and do not have a backup they are gone.

Is there any possible way to transfer OS9 Outlook Express emails to Mac Mail? I have mail I would like to keep, but can't find any way to transfer that doesn't involve loosing something or make it very difficult to access.

Outlook Express email account on Q10

Iam having problems with setting up a microsoft outlook express email on my Q10!I have manged to setup all other email accounts that were on my Bold 9900 but this one is giving problems!I have tried to use Advanced setup but to no avail!Can somebody help me on this?

Transfer outlook express email to outlook

Hello, I have just become a new Mac user and would like to transfer my email from Outlook express on my old PC to Outlook on my new Mac. What is the best way to do this?

The best way is to use Windows Migration Assistant on the PC > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4796?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US It will transfer your Outlook Express messages and accounts to your Mac.
Note that if you have already set up your computer, Migration Assistant will create a new user with the data. To access to this user, go to  > Log Out, and log in the new account. OS X will ask you what account you want to use every time you start up the iMac

All Outlook Express email lost with IOS upgrade

I upgraded iTunes to the latest version and upgraded IOS from 4 to 6. Now Pocket Earth maps works on my iPod, but my Outlook Express email on my PC has been completely destroyed. All my emails and contacts are gone!!! What can I do? Is there a solution other than trying to restore my PC to an earlier date and forgetting about the maps for my iPod. (They aren't that useful anyway.) Please help me if you can.

Thanks, but I was able to get all my email data back. I took my PC to Office Depot and their computer guy said it was a user profile error. He changed my identity back to main identity in Outlook Express and that fixed my problem. It cost me $30 but at least it's fixed.

Outlook Express has been replaced with Windows Mail, and is pretty much very similar in use. Indeed there is even an enhanced version called Windows Live Mail. See :-

How can I sync Outlook Express email with Nokia 58...

I'd like to know if/how I can sync my works outlook express emails with my nokia 5800? Not via a web browser but setting up the sync in the messages area. All the sites/manuals I've searched are too vague and don't seem to offer any explanations on what I need to do specifically for outlook.

In general you don't sync with a mail client's local message store (such as the Outlook Express message store on your Work PC). You generally sync to a mail server.
So what you can do is find out which server your Outlook Express mail client is configured for on your PC, and then use the same server settings on your Nokia Phone.

Adding outlook express(email) contacts

When I upgraded phones (att) I had all my contact with phone numbers transferred (sim card). Would like to add e-mails to most of them. Is there a way to do this w/o typing each one in? My e-mail contacts on my PC system in OLE address book.

How do I transfer my Outlook Express emails (dvx files) to a program on my iMac?

I have my old Outlook Express emails on a flash drive in hidden files (dbx) and would like to at least be able to read those files. I have Thunderbird on new Mac as well as apple Mail. I do not have Outlook. Is there a way I can convert the dbx files to .mbox files? Or at least be able to read the dbx files or transfer into THunderbird? I have googled this until I am crazy.

Actually those .DBX files are just Text files that can be opened with any Text Editor like Text Edit app.
Not sure about how to get them into Thunderbird. The place to ask that would be over at the Mozilla Thunderbird support forum.

When launching and opening tabs from links in outlook express not all tabs appear

Since upgrading to Firefox 21 when I click on links in emails in Outlook Express not all the links open new tabs, but when I attempt to close Firefox it says there are more tabs open than are being displayed. Firefox also becomes sluggish to non-responsive during these "evolutions". If I open Firefox first before clicking links in emails it does not display this behavior.

The DDE fix does not appear to address the same problem I'm having. I receive no error windows or indications of any kind, the tabs just never appear, yet when I close firefox it will ask me if I want to close all "X" tabs ( and X appears to equal the number of tabs I tried to open).
