Why will MAX not recognize cFP-2120?
The status light on mycontroller was flashing 4 times. Following advice from other posts I assumed the flash was probably corrupted. I was able to format it by going to Safe Mode and right clicking on my controller in MAX and selecting format hard disk. After the controller rebooted, reset my network configuration and name of the controller and hit Apply (controller rebooted again to apply these settings). After the controller rebooted (still in Safe-Mode), I tried to add software to the controller (with MAX), but operation kept timing out. Was getting two flashes on status LEDs. Tried getting out of safe mode but kept getting two flashes. Got back in safe mode but kept loosing connection. Then I manually reset the cFP-2120 by flipping the dipswitch (switch 7 to “OFF” and switch 8 to “ON”) on the front of the controller and rebooting the cFP-2120. After the controller rebooted, I was unable to reset my network configuration for the devices listed and I did not get and indication that 0.0.0.0 was connected even though my PC is saying I am connected. Now the LED is flashing only 1 time but I cannot get to the IP config info to change it and MAX is showing the cFP-2120 as disconnected. If I go into Safe Mode using switch 7 I still only get one flash on the status LED. At least the LED isn't staying lit!
What do I do now?
Where exactly are you right now? Does the status LED flash once when the IP reset switch is on and twice if it is off? Or is it only flashing once now?
If its just flashing once now, we may want to stop looking at the FieldPoint and start looking at the host computer. Is there a firewall or virus scan that might be blocking IP 0.0.0.0 or blocking the UDP port?

The Mac Paint.plugin has to be in ./Applications/Adobe Photoshop Cs3/plug-Ins/File Formats/Mac Paint.plugin
You need to find the Mac Paint.plugin in the Goodies/Optional Plug_ins/File Formats/… then relaunch Photoshop. -
Why will iMovie not recognize my iPod Touch 4G?
I'm trying to import videos I shot with my iPod Touch 4G into iMovie but to no avail. I get a message saying that "No camera is connected". I've youtube'd my issues but the tutorial I watched seemed easy but my problem remains. Can anyone help me please?

Why does iPhoto not recognize the .jpg pics from a Kodak C875 now? I can stick my memory card in the iMac and import them that way, but iPhoto will not import the pics from the camera.
There have been many issues reported with Kodak cameras - serach the forums for them
Actually the best practise is to use a card reader to import your photos, verify that they are imported ocrrectly and wait at least one backup cycle and then use the camera's format command to reformat the card and erase it - this assures no lost photos and always having the card properly formatted

Why will PDF not open from email?
I recently modified my Adobe Reader 9.1 (with instructions from the bank) to be able to electronically sign documents.
Since then I can not open any PDF documents from email. I went back and reversed the changes I made. I uninstalled Adobe and reinstalled it. No luck.
I have to save the documents and open them from Windows Explorer.
Any Ideas?A fast workaround for PDF problem (See my original post)
In Firefox:
Open Tools > Options > Under Main tab click Save files to > click Browse
Scroll up or down to find where you want it to go (I put mine under Documents because it's the easiest to find).
Click New folder and label it something you will quickly recognize.
Now when you click on a PDF attachment it will automatically be sent to that file and you can double click or open
it in Adobe Reader

(Note) If I use Internet Explorer (I have not used IE in years) I can open PDF's from Hotmail with out a problem.
I like Firefox better so I will continue to use the quick workaround until somebody finds a fix.

The 70D requires Camera Raw 8.2 which is not compatible with Photoshop Elements 11.
Your choices are
1) Upgrade to Photoshop Elements 12
2) Use the Canon DPP application to convert the CR2 files to TIF files and then import the TIF files into the organizer
3) Use the free download of the Adobe DNG converter to convert the CR2 file to DNG files and then import the DNG files to the organizer.
Note: if you are running on XP or Vista, you need version 8.3 of the converter - the latest (8.4) will not work.

Trying to install update 8.1.3, my iPad says I need 1.5 gb but I actually have 17.1 gb. Why will it not let me install?
It's probably telling you that you need 1.5 more GB than you have available. Hook up your device to iTunes on the computer you sync with and do the update from there. OTA updates require a lot more memory than ones done via iTunes.

Do you set all the email information correctly?
Can you send/receive emails? If you are often receiving a message on the screen like "cannot contact the server...", check in Settings >> Mail, Contacts, Calendars >> "your name account", if all the fields are filled properly.
You must also turn off Restrictions in: Settings >> General >> Restrictions, because have an option " Allow Alterations - Accounts" that it maybe prevent alterations in your email account.

Apple says you can use an IMAP account to sync notes, but I haven't yet spotted how you set this up. iCloud is easy and free, though, and for me at least has worked quite well to sync my notes among all my devices.

When I try to use the Message feature on my iPad 2, to send a message to a friends iPhone (on iOS 5 too), why will it not allow me to send the message?
Check to make sure you are not typing your message in the Subject line. If you are, it won't let you send the message. Cut and paste the message into the Message field and you should be all set.
FYI, you can disable the Subject line from your messages in Settings/Messages. -

Type of copy paste the following:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist

Maybe a driver got messed up. I don't know what operating system you have but I know my Win 7 likes to forget drivers every once in a while.
Also, if you have a newer device and older version of iTunes (10 or less) then that iTunes simply may not be able to recognize your newer device.
The first thing I'd check is if you have the latest iTunes.
If so, try plugging your cable into a different port.
Try swapping cables in case that one is bad
You can also give your device a reset. Sometimes the device turns off it's charging/syncing port and the reset turns that back on. You reset by holding down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and try again.
If none of that works you may need to uninstall and reinstall iTunes. You're just uninstalling the program, as far as I've experienced it doesn't delete any content.

Can't auto-resize columns in List View
In 10.6 one could double-click the divider between columns to automatically have them resize to an optimal width. I can't do that. Is this intended behavior? Note: I'm not using the new "Arrange By..." feature which disables movement entirely.
