my ipod will only charge on the docking station. says it has a full charge but when I take it off the docking station it says battery is low so I've plugged it into the usb and plugged it into my wall outlet but it is still not charging. I'm not sure what generation it is, its an 80GB. Help?
The battery is possibly unable to take as much power as a normal battery. It may need a replacement battery.

Mested usb port-oky windows 7 laptop with current itunes working will not reognize my ipod as a new device/hardware. I have tested usb port-ok; rebooted with and without ipod plugged - no luck. Ideas?

What happens if I make a picture album on my ipad or iPhone and then sync with my Mac? Will it add a new album to iPhoto on my Mac? Also, what will happen if I add pictures on my ipad to existing albums that I made in iPhoto on my Mac?

I just downloaded a new version of OS7 to my iphone and when I try to sync with my mac book pro it will not finish and just spins around at the last step. anyone help?
It was telling you that you needed Mac OS 10.6.8 or later, not itunes 10.6.8

I have the special edition 20gb U2 ipod and I reset it to factory defaults. then tells me to plug it into the external power source and just stays stuck there. Any ideas?
When updating or restoring some iPods via a usb connection, it needs to be plugged into power via the charger to complete the process, and this is why you see this icon displayed.
It's also why older iPods that required this step were supplied with a power adaptor as standard.
You may be able to complete the process via a car charger, or via a powered firewire port on the computer (with the required 6 pin cable of course) if you have access to either of those. Or maybe visit an Apple store if one is nearby.
Or you can try this.
No power adaptor? Try this.
Other than that, your iPod cannot be used until you complete this process.
And btw, your iPod is not an iPod classic. -
Classic 20gb Ipod - Skipping songs
Recently, my 20 GB iPod classic has started skipping songs randomly. For example, when I try to play a playlist or album, it will skip through the songs one by one until the playlist/album is completed, without actually playing any of the songs. Has anyone had a similar problem and had success in fixing this? Or is my iPod shot and it is time to get a new one? Thanks in advance.

tried re-installing firefox and the flash plugins. set all the setting in the applications preferences to prompt(no prompts received), tried disabling all the plugins expecting messages that plugin in missing or disabled(no message). No problems with Safari.
Actually, I've usually always had this problem with every version of Firefox. Seems like it was fixed for a while, but I worked on it so long I don't remember if or what the fix was. Does anyone know if there is a tool to right-click a link or file and open in another browser so we can view flash videos?
