Why will my downloaded Photoshop CS 5.1 not accept the key code?

Downloaded Photoshop CS 5.1 will not accept keycode.
I purchased a new computer and loaded the subject application. The key code will not be accepted to activate the application.
The message I get is that the key code is correct but it will not activate.
Windows 8 if that matters.

It would not work anyway. The activation servers have been retired and Adobe has provided a new CS2 download along with a new serial number for CS2 owners.

KLOVE does a free download of the week. I've used this site before and have never had a problem until yesterday. i downloaded the "free" song and it charged me. i realize that its only 99 cents, but still, it should be free. i can't get itunes to accept my redemption code and don't know what to do. any suggestions? please help!

The message is a catch-all for any sort of anomaly with your payment information.
Log in to your account in iTunes. Make sure your name and address match exactly including ZIP code and punctuation. Verify it against a bank statement.
You must obviously be using a valid credit (not debit) card.

Since the serial number provided was correct, the download started and completed. Once installed the system started to install the software. Again I had to supply the serial number. This time the system will NOT accept the serial number. I entered it again. Not accepted. I tried it again, this time with dashes. Again the serial number is not accepted. What do I do?

Yes, you can , it will be counted as second activation if you have not deactivated the previous install & activation.
I have checked & found that you have deactivated from one machine & it is active on one computer, this entitles you an install.

How fast an internet connection is required to download Photoshop without getting timed out by the server?

What minimum internet speed is required to download Photoshop without being timed out by the server?
I experienced a spectacular crash and blue-screen freeze while attempting to download the creative cloud from a hotel wifi system.
Since I don't want a repeat of that calamity, I suspect I was timed out but would welcome input. The hotel has about 1 mbps internet speed according to speedtest.net.
I'm currently working in China but live in Atlanta, waiting to return home to download isn't practical.

Zaphod922 there is no specific bandwidth requirement but if there is enough failures then the download will eventually be canceled. Perhaps a coffee shop wifi hot spot to download the applications?
As an alternative you can download the base installers from Adobe CC 2014 Direct Download Links: Creative Cloud 2014 Release | ProDesignTools. You would still need to download the updates but having the base install in place will reduce the downloads through the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

Adobe has decommissioned the CS2 activation servers, so your old serial number is no longer usable.
If you download the special non-activating version of CS2 that Adobe has made available to licensed CS2 users, you MUST also use the new serial number provided by Adobe on that download page:

You would have to restore the iPhone. Download the latest version of iTunes and then follow the steps in the article below to get it working again.

HHi, thank you for the reply. I have checked my iPad and iPhone and neither has iCloud Photo Library (Beta) enabled. Turned off in both. Photostream is turned on.
i tried to sort it out by dragging all the photos to Events on the Mac and then deleting them from iCloud - (left hand side of iPhoto under the section 'Shared'). the photos now show up in Events. I did force quit but the issue remains. The message reads ' photos are bing imported to the library. Please wait for import to complete.'
i can't empty iPhoto trash either. The message read "Delete error. Please wait for import to complete.'
WHen I was moving the photos to the Events I always had a message about duplicates - to the effect that the photos already existed, did I want to import them? I clicked on Yes, import all duplicates. But when it showed the images - duplicates side by side - one showed the photo and the other was blank.
I really don't know what to do! And I don't know how to handle my iOS devices. Is it to do with the large number of photos? Any help, advice appreciated.

You said, "the 4 also has signal and wifi whereas the 5 has only wifi". By "signal", I'm assuing that you mean cellular signal. If so, that means your iPhone 4 is still active on your cellular number and your iPhone 5 is not. Contact your carrier to sort out which phone is active on your account.
