Why will my new iPad no longer sync my non-iTunes TV shows?
My original iPad, as well as my iPhone 4S, synced perfectly with iTunes 10.6. I usually use the option Sync 3 Oldest Unwatched for the TV Shows that I add myself, but this no longer works for my new iPad; it does not recognize non-iTunes TV shows in my sync settings, and refuses to sync any of them unless I manually select the episodes. What could be the problem here?
Thank you for your reply and your suggestion. I did try using a different cable. The original cable was one that had been working perfectly well just last week. ITunes is still not styncing.

If at all possible, copy your entire iTunes folder from your old computer to your new one (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527). Otherwise, you will lose and music that was not purchased from the iTune store unless you use 3rd party software such as Touch Copy to transfer it to your new computer. When i add music to my 5th gen ipod it will no longer sync in itunes. It shows up in itunes, but when i add mysic it comes up with an error number (13019). The songs show under music on my ipod, but when i disconnect it theyre not on there for me to listen to. HELP!!!
easiest way i have found to resolve the issue is go into itunes while phone is plugged in. you will have a list of tabs across, summery, info, ringtones, music. select music and where it displays sync music unselect that and hit apply in the bottom right (dont worry your music should be saved on the computer) once the sync is complete re check the music sync option. ive noticed this to work 95% of the time......hope this helps

I tried to sync my new ipad (4th generation the newest one) and it says it won't load because I need itunes version 10.7 or higher. I tried to update my itunes (i have version 10.6.3) and it says I have the newest version of itunes. On the apple website I saw they have version 11 of itunes so i downloaded that but it won't install to my macbook because it says i need to have newer software. I tried to update my mac software and it says there are no updates but i have version Mac OS X 10.5.8 and there should be an update for that too. How do i update my macbook software when it says theres no updates?

You need to update to OS X 10.6

Why will my iPhone 4S no longer sync?
My iTunes updated to 5.1.2 today. I then connected my iPhone 4S to my PC and no sync happened. My phone chirped and started charging, but iTunes did not open automatically. I opened the program manually and again connected my phone, still same results. I also tried turning my phone off and on. Is there something wrong with the new update to iTunes?

If pictures was synced from your computer then it can't be deleted directly on the iPad, you will need remove/de-select it from where you synced it from on your computer and re-sync.

I have surround sound with my LCD TV. Will my new iPad into HDML connection and Utube, iTunes etc. produce surround sound?
ATV definitely supports AC3 DD 5.1... etc, but definately not through AirPlay, only streamed through the inet.
I also found, in the case of Netflix, that the AC3 is preserved in the highest bandwidth mode but not available in the lowest. (frankly i did not test the intermediate bandwidth)
I was quite pleased with the sound and picture from Netflix.
I am not so patiently waiting for AirPlay to support AC3 DD or DDPlus because I record my home video in %.1 surround (AVCHD) and can preserve it through Final Cut Pro and DVD or Red Laser, but cannot use the intended cable replacement (AirPlay) to play them.
Bummer..
I think/hope if more people request surround sound via AirPlay Apple may then follow through on this otherwise good idea.

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery, so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night.

If you have non-itunes music on your computer still, you should have no problem relocating them and reuploading to itunes.

Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

Fact: Apple is short of supply- this is not a problem for anyone.
Fact: Apple is processing orders accepted at a later date preferentially while pushing back delivery dates for orders accepted hours or days earlier. That is indeed bad practice, but if you have another term for it, please, feel free. And this is a problem.
As for a company that regularly screws over their customers and yet is successful, I don't know what bubble you live in, but there are tons ranging from PC manufacturers to certain delivery companies (one of which Apple happens to use), so not only are you unnecessarily out of line, your argument is also void.

This is a recent problem. Everything was fine initially, and I don't think that I've done anything to change my setup.

You don't. You synch your iPod to your computer. There's no way to synch from iPad to iPod. You can tranfer the same playlists to your iPod from the computer.
