Why will my page back and forword icon's not work
I can left click and get a list of page's i was at but can't use icon big pain it is the icons on the firefox main tool bar
Try turning off sync and turn it back on again.

Every time I open up Firefox it appears to open two nested and linked windows, each with their own minimize, maximize and close buttons but the both work the same. The homepage does not come up, the back and forth buttons do not work. Both the refresh button and F5 do not work. The Bookmark Toolbar does not show up until I disable it in View and then re-enable it and this causes the outer nested window to disappear or close.
This issue can be caused by an extension or theme that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Since upgrading to 4.0.1 The back and forward arrows do not work. I've tried uninstalling and installing a number of times. Can you help please!

I open 1 session of Firefox 5.0.1 and everything seems to work fine. Then I open a second session of Firefox and most of the time the navigation bar does not show the page that I am on and the back and forward buttons do not work. When this happens, the first session always remains working. I am an internet marketer so I have at least 2 or 3 sessions going at any given time.
A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

My back and forward buttons do not work also the refresh button does not work, I have reloaded the latest version of fire fox and that did not help. All of navigation tool bar worked until I updated Fire Fox, now if I click on a link in yahoo, for instance, I can not get back to my yahoo home page without reloading Fire Fox. HELP please.

I have a MacBook Air using Maverick. I have files in the trash I want to recover to their original files. I do not have "Back Up" and "Command + Delete" does not work.
Drag them out of the Trash and put them in their original location. Put Back may work on one file at a time.

O?S is Vista Ultimate 32 bit fully updated. I have just installed Firefox 4.01. I have lost use of back and forward buttons - they are greyed out. Is there a solution please?
It is possible to have earlier data in a tab if the latest tab had target="_top" that means the back key will not work, but if your right-click on the back/forward you see a context menu. As far as I know the only difference between 3.6 and 4.0 ws that the drop-down arrow was dropped but like before you can still right-click.
There are some extensions that mess with the Back/Forward buttons.
There is a difference between gray and '''black''' on the buttons, '''black''' means there is history in that direction.

thank you for your support.Did your 4S have Facetime on it before you updated? The 4S, new, shipped with Facetime and didn't need and update to iOS 6 to get it. However, if you purchased an iPhone that was designated to be sold in UAE, Saudi Arabia and a couple of other Middle Eastern countries, then the device does not have FaceTime and it can't be added.

Previous(Back) and (fast)forward keys not working in iTunes

A short while ago, I found out that my function keys (back- and forward buttons specifically) have stopt working in iTunes. The exact moment they started to malfunction in unknown to me, but in my current configuration they always did what they had to do up until a couple of weeks ago.
My specs:
Mac Mini late 2012
16 Gb RAM
256Gb SSD + 500Gb HDD
Apple Wireless Keyboard
Apple Magic Trackpad
OSX Mavericks 10.9.1
iTunes 11.1.4 (64bit)
I can't recall altering system settings with which these controls could stop working. Note: the play/pauze button works great!
Furthermore: In VLC, all controls work fine, including the back and forward buttons.
Could this be due to an update of iTunes? Also, have more people encountered this problem? If so: What is the sollution, 'cause this is annoying the crap out of me..

T.After searching one discussion after another I found the reason the keys malfunction in iTunes: AirServer. While this program is running, the FF and Prev keys (F7 & F9) won't work in iTunes. When the app is closed, they immediately start working again. Seems to be a bug in AirServer's coding. Hope an update will undo this problem.

Pcmanfm alt+arrow shortcuts for "back" and "cd ../" not working
A recent update must have stopped this from working for me. In previous versions, alt+up arrow caused me to go up a directory level, and alt+left arrow caused me to go back to whatever directory I had previously been in. Now alt only causes lines to appear underneath the menu items (as to show what alt+letter combo would open the menu).
Is this occurring on anyone else's pcmanfm?
pcmanfm-mod-nohal has the correct alt+arrow key functionality... so not sure where the breakage is coming from.2ManyDogs wrote:I'm sorry no one has answered your posts, but it's probably because no one has any good ideas for you. Unfortunately not. My recollection is that pcmanfm was updated, but who knows what else might have come along with it?

I really don't like spacefm's left side navigation behavior. Clicking over there just takes you to the folder, but you can't up/down arrow to navigate the tree, at least that I've figured out.

Inherently, yes, as I've tried other fm's, I've uninstalled it. I could try removing it and any configs though. On that note, I just installed pcmanfm in a virtualbox installation of Arch that I've barely touched so far on my work Windows machine. It should have minimal configs set up. I get the same behavior.

I'm not familiar with this. It's installed, but from my perusing of the Arch Wiki, it looks like I'd have to activate it somehow. I have not added systemd to my init line of grub or syslinux.

Don't think so. I don't have xbindkeys installed. I checked my rc.conf for openbox to see if I had anything. The closest was Ctrl+Alt+Up to switch to the last workspace, but commenting that out and re-loading openbox did not fix the issue.

Yup -- mod-nohal works. Thanks for reminding me of this, as I'll probably just switch to it for now. I don't know if there was a reason I didn't just stick with that. Perhaps anal retentiveness at wanting to know the source of the issue. -

You have to download and run the upgrader then launch iPhoto. Go to the utilities folder in Applications and launch the iPhoto upgrader. Then launch iPhoto and it will upgrade the library

Why is Web Page Auth on MAC Filter Failure not working on Anchor Controller?
Hi,
I have implemented a Guest WLAN solution as per the recommended design from Cisco. We have two internal WiSM2 controllers providing services for Internal secure SSIDs. Both these controllers are members of a Mobility and RF management group.
Two 5508 controllers have been installed in our DMZ for resilience and have been placed into a separate Mobility group. All controllers (internal and external) have been linked together as mobility neighbours in a full mesh and a new SSID for Web Guest traffic has been anchored to the controllers in the DMZ.
Web page authentication works perfectly fine, but I cannot for the life of me get the MAC filtering override to work, i.e. if a MAC address is present, do not redirect to the splash page for web auth.
I can get MAC auth working by iteself, but not with the Layer 3 option selected for web page auth on mac filter failure.
I know I can get around this by just creating two separate SSIDs. But the business is used to just having the one SSID for all guest traffic.
Is this a known limitation when anchoring SSIDs to controllers in the DMZ ?Hi Nicolas,
I guess they changed their mind to add this fix in 7.0MR3. Now the fix will be in 7.2 release planned to be release in FEB.
