Why will sync not synchronize my information between devices after saying that the server was incorrectly configured and then saying that my password was incorrect?

I've recently started having this issue within the last few days. I started getting error messages saying that the sync server was incorrectly configured.
So I reset my sync data and then attempted to re-establish connectivity between my devices. Sync is now saying that my password is incorrect. I've reset my password twice and after each password reset I am getting the same error message saying that my password is incorrect. I should note that both times I double checked the password entry to rule out any fat-fingering lol.
Does anybody have any other information about this? I am wondering if a reinstall of Firefox will be necessary...thanks for any help you can provide! (:

It sounds like there are a couple things going on here. First check if you have a successful install of SQL Server, then we'll figure out the connection issues.
Can you launch SQL Server Configuration Manager and check for SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) if default instance or SQL Server (other name) if you've configured your instance as a named instance. Once you find this, make sure the service is started.
If not started, try to start it and see if it throws an error. If you get an error, post the error message your hitting. If the service starts, you can then launch SSMS and try to connect. If you have a default instance, you can use the machine
name in the connection dialog. Ex: "COWBOYS" where Cowboys is the machine name. However, if you named the SQL Server instance during install, you'll need to connect using the machine\instance format. Ex: COWBOYS\Romo (where Romo
is the instance name you set during install).
You can also look at the summary.txt file in the SQL Server setup error logs to see what happened on the most recent install. Past install history is archived in the log folder if you need to dig those up to help troubleshoot, but the most
recent one may help get to the bottom of it if there is an issue with setup detecting a prior instance that needs to be repaired.

iPad1 is properly designated to be Wi-Fi sync'd to the Windows 7 64.
iPad correctly shows Device in iTunes; and correctly sync's in iTunes when tethered to computer via USB.
No Device listed in iTunes when iPad is on and powered by 10w power cube.
Network connects.
iCloud backup works when Wi-Fi.
iPad USED to be visible to iTunes when on and powered and on Wi-Fi.
Some anti-miracle occured.
Need exorcist.

Thank you for your reply; however I don't believe that your advice fits my circumstance - in that my device (in this case, the iPad) DID show up as a Device in iTunes last week - when connected via Wi-Fi (that is, powered up and on the home network and with iTunes open in the Windows 7 computer).
I was then able to communicate (read: sync) between the iPad and the computer NOT using the USB cable-connect to the computer - merely via Wi-Fi.
I can not repeat that miracle this week (meaning, that I must hook up the iPad1 to the computer via the USB cable, where it does register as a Device in iTunes - and it does go thru the 6 steps of sync.
Did I grossly missinterpret your instructions?

HT1386 When changing what music I have on my iPad it does not update. If I remove a playlist in the iPad setting in iTunes and then sync, nothing changes on the iPad. Any ideas?

When I update content to change in iTunes then sync my ipad, none of it changes. It seems to be specifically with music, as books come and go as selected. It happens mainly with playlists. I have itunes on a Mac Book AIr with Maverick and the ipad is the full size ipad pre Air.
The only cure I have found is restoring which only fixes it once, i.e. once i restore it then reverts to the same behaviour...Any thoughts?

What folders are you talking about? Photos folders? Email folders?

My iphone 4 since going from OS 3 to 4 will no longer stay connected to my Prius. I delete the phone from my car and then reconnect and it might manually. It is becoming a hazard and an unintended consequence of the newest iPhone update. ARGH!Help?

Occaisionally I hit connect on my 2007 Prius and it connects. Sometimes on the iPhone4 General-BT i can hit connect and it connects. But mostly i have to delete the existence of my iphone to my car and re-pair it. Plus it rarely autoconnects except when i am testing it over and over. Leave the car and it will never autoconnect again. Its become an unintended consequence of my iPhone and truly a hazard when i forget to arrange it before getting started on a drive. Mac store says its my prius and toyota says its my phone. Any hints greatly appreciated.

Talk to Toyota. The fault is in their in-car system. Talk to Toyota corporate. The dealers are clueless. Your system needs to be updated.

Apple says you can use an IMAP account to sync notes, but I haven't yet spotted how you set this up. iCloud is easy and free, though, and for me at least has worked quite well to sync my notes among all my devices.

It's probably telling you that you need 1.5 more GB than you have available. Hook up your device to iTunes on the computer you sync with and do the update from there. OTA updates require a lot more memory than ones done via iTunes.

Hi Friend,
Do you set all the email information correctly?
Can you send/receive emails? If you are often receiving a message on the screen like "cannot contact the server...", check in Settings >> Mail, Contacts, Calendars >> "your name account", if all the fields are filled properly.
You must also turn off Restrictions in: Settings >> General >> Restrictions, because have an option " Allow Alterations - Accounts" that it maybe prevent alterations in your email account.

It might help if you could tell us your version of PSE and your operating system.
In between requesting the verification code and trying to apply it, you didn't change any of the settings in Edit -> Preferences -> Sharing did you?
Did you use Copy & Paste to copy the verification code from the email to PSE?
On the page that is asking for the code, you can always click on the resend button and it will send you the code again - worth a try.

Your license allows for enabled installations on two machines. If you are unable to install on a second machine you will need to provide more information if you want help resolving the problem. At what stage does the failure to install occur? What messages do you encounter when it fails? What are your system specifications? How do your system specs compare to the Software system requirements?

Why will PDF not open from email?

I recently modified my Adobe Reader 9.1 (with instructions from the bank) to be able to electronically sign documents.
Since then I can not open any PDF documents from email. I went back and reversed the changes I made. I uninstalled Adobe and reinstalled it. No luck.
I have to save the documents and open them from Windows Explorer.
Any Ideas?

A fast workaround for PDF problem (See my original post)
In Firefox:
Open Tools > Options > Under Main tab click Save files to > click Browse
Scroll up or down to find where you want it to go (I put mine under Documents because it's the easiest to find).
Click New folder and label it something you will quickly recognize.
Now when you click on a PDF attachment it will automatically be sent to that file and you can double click or open
it in Adobe Reader

(Note) If I use Internet Explorer (I have not used IE in years) I can open PDF's from Hotmail with out a problem.
