Additionally, I contacted Apple support about the failed login attempts. Had it not been an iPad 2 app, I'm sure they would have pointed that out, rather than telling me it had been discontinued. As deggie also pointed out in the post just above your last one here.

Forefront Client Security to use Windows updates when WSUS not available

Hi all,
We currently deploy Forefront Client Security as our AV product to our estate and we use WSUS to get any definition update required.
However, we have a number of laptops that have been taken off site and have not been receiving any virus definition updates because they are off the domain.
We have a GPO in place that disables Windows Updates on all clients and redirects it to our WSUS server and we then use SCCM to push out our updates.
We also have a VPN client that won't allow you to connect to the network unless your virus definitions are up to date. This is obviously an issue as anyone who has a laptop and hasn't connected to the domain in a while won't have the latest windows updates
or virus definitions applied.
We need a way of ensuring those laptops get the latest updates before connecting via VPN.
Is there any way to do this?

Why does apple not remove the malware Genieo

Why does apple not remove the malware Genieo - it takes over the Safari browser even with extensions turned off - firefox works fine but the malware is still alive and kicking on my mac. Should I just uninstall safari and hope the malware is not doing more damage in the background?

Apple has never had anything to do with Genio. It is sneakily installed with other apps you think would be helpful. It is very sickening, IMHO.

Microsoft Forefront Client Security and Itunes

My Ipod sync screen doesnt appear when i connect my ipod to my laptop. This only happens when microsoft forefront client security has been installed otherwise everything goes normal. Is there any solution?

Why does signtool not remove a signature it added?

After signing an exe with signtool in the Windows SDK
signtool sign -sha1 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx -t http://sometimestampingserver.com file.exe
why does
signtool remove /c /u file.exe
not remove the signature? You can use an API such as ImageRemoveCertificate() in your own application, but what is signtool doing in the removal step if not this?

Why can I not remove music and why are my purchased songs being duplicated each time I sync??

So I'm not sure if this is unique but I have a couple of things going on.
1st issue: I have a iphone 4s. Itunes on my desktop. Some music purchased from the desktop is on my iphone and I cannot remove it. I've checked "manually manage music". I've selected only the playlists I want. It will not delete the purchased music.
2nd issue: Each time I sync it pulls only the purchased music from my iphone and adds it to my music library. And each time it does that, it's adding another copy of the purchased songs into my music folder. I tried a variety of options, synced 7 times, and ended up with 7 copies of each purchased song. I've triedso many different things I'm thinking the only thing left is to do a reset. Or possibly reinstalling itunes completely. I've unchecked "copy files to itunes media folder when adding to library" and unchecked each of the songs from the library.Very frustrating!
Any suggestions would really be appreciated!

Unchecking the individual songs from the iTunes music library does indeed remove the songs from my iPhone. However, this is quite tedious given the number of albums I want to remove. Isn't this supposed to be easier done by "unchecking" the Genre or the specific Album using the Devices/My iPhone/Music tab?
Does this work for you (or anyone else)? My aim is to identify the most efficient method of doing this.

Why i can not parse xml in client jar successfully?

If the length of xml is short in 300bytes(maybe another amount),i can read the string of xml from the file in java web start client jar and can parse it exactly. But if length is more than the amount, the xml string will be cut off so that i can not parse it.
is this a bug of java web start? or my fault?

in = new FileInputStream(file);
data = new byte[in.available()];available tells how many bytes are available at the moment in the buffer. For smaller files fitting into the buffer it might be okay but for longer ones it is definitively not.
Use a ByteArrayOutputStream to store the data in and return its toByteArray().
Or ask the for the file length and allocate a buffer of that size and read into it in one operation: read(byte[] b).
