Why with so many How can I fix what is broken with the itunes software, does apple not "fix" the software?
For Sale iPad 2,,, If I cant get ituens to work. There is no way that after a fresh install, the help tool bar should not work REALLY.

It sounds like you had been updating the phone and now it is in recovery mode. Take a look at this info first:
If you started your device in recovery mode by mistake, restart it to exit recovery mode. Or you can just wait—after 15 minutes the device will exit recovery mode by itself.

I recently purchased music and a few songs only downloaded half way through, why is that and how can i fix it?
I think this is a more general problem Apple are having at the moment. I have just written in another thread:
"I am having this problem too. There have been quite a few other threads about it. It applies to single tracks too. They appear to download OK, and show as the right file size and length, but stop playing well before the end and iTunes moves on to the next track. Redownloading them helps sometimes but not always.
I have only had this problem for the last week or so. The longer the track the more likely there is to be a problem (perhaps obviously)."
I think it is the tracks themselves rather than iTunes. If you export the problematic track to the Desktop and try playing it with Quicktime it stops in just the same place. -
Since subscribing to iTunes match my ipad2 no longer offers the AirPlay option on the volume bar within Music, rendering my bowers Wilkins speakers useless for both iTunes and spotify. Why is this and how can I fix it?
Apple made no mention of this being an expected issue, so I can only assume it's unintentional. Otherwise I wouldn't have subscribed to Match in the first place!How big is your library? I would recommend the following troubleshooting steps:
- Backup your library. Always a good idea before messing with things.
- Create a new library. Refer to this article for details: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1589. This won't delete your old library, you're just creating a new empty one. Also refer to this article to get back to your old library later.
- Add a few albums into this new library. Not everything, just a small sampling, as a test.
- Activate Match on this new library. You shouldn't have to re-pay, it should just say "Add Computer" or similar.
- At this point, Match should run again. With just a few albums it should complete in just a few minutes.
If iTunes doesn't crash at this point, then likely there's something about your original library that Match doesn't like - what that is I don't know, but at least you'll know it's not your PC. If iTunes still crashes, then if could be a number of other things, but probably not your library. My next suggestion (if you haven't already done this) is to uninstall / reinstall iTunes. If that doesn't work, then my next ideas you won't like. -
ever since the ios5 update some of my ipod songs come out as duplicate and only on my ipod not on my itunes why is that? how can i fix it?
Hey Ryan, When you looked at Get Info as Illaass instructed did you compare all the info listed in iTunes Get Info on the computer's copy? When you looked at the song(s) that are separated, do they list anything different like a featured artist? Or a different composer / song writer? Sometimes that will trick the the software into thinking it is 2 different albums. Make the info about the album and artist match, then sync to your iPod. The songs should go back where they belong on your iPod. Good luck. Cheers.

I had an Apple ID which I used for iCloud. I upgraded the iCloud account and changed the apple ID to a @me address. Now I can't view what was in my original apple ID account. How can I get what was stored on the original account?

Why would you not be able to use your existing Apple ID and iTunes account on a new laptop? If you authorized the computer - you should be able to use your existing account - unless you already had 5 computers authorized with the existing ID - and that was why iTunes would not accept the ID. However, I'm sure that you would have received a popup message from iTunes telling you that you had reached the limit.
I just received a new MBP and my daughter did as well. My entire family shares an Apple ID and we had no issues at all with my Apple ID and iTunes on our new computers and I did not have to sign up for a new account. Did you even try the old ID? -
How can I tell what app makes up the "usage"?
Under General Settings, you have the option to view usage. How can I tell what app is using that "usage"? It is not data, just time active.
Go to the AppleStore and download BatteryDoctor.
This will help you to see which apps take a lott of your battery level. -
The screen on my MacBook has just started flickering and shaking up and down while I am using it. The screen starts flickering, shaking, gets pixelated, begins to freeze, and eventually fades to white. Why is it doing this? How can I fix it?
It is a newer MacBook, just over 1 year. It is well cared for, hasn't been dropped, etc. I don't want to pay for expensive repairs for such a new computer, and I certainly can't afford a new one!
I've tried updating my system like the Support page suggested, but no improvement. The problem started just the other day, and is progressively getting worse.
.... as I typed this, it did it again. Only, this time it did not flicker and shake, but got 'pixelated' (pixels came up checkered-like darkened and lightened). It did this for about 2 minutes and then stopped after I did not touch the computer.... Now it is flickering... HELP!it means that it is not a hardware issue. Other then that, Im not too sure. You can view the purchase history on your account via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes, though I'm not sure if that shows auto-renewing subscriptions (I haven't got any so I can't check).

Humbly,What version of Oracle are you running (standard or enterprise)?
Easist system is to run an AWR or statspack report. If you run either of these you will see sections on segments (so segments by logical reads, physical reads) which is easily digestible.
v$segment_statistics will also give you a breakdown on segment access. -
TS5275 There is no Accept button next to GarageBand. Why is this and how can I fix it?
I was making a musical introduction for my YouTube channel (DiamondGriefingMC by the way, I'll provide a link for you to subscribe if you're into gaming) and had to make the in-app purchase in GarageBand to do so, but cannot do it because when I click on one of the sounds that are included in the purchase (which I don't have yet) the pop-up window that should be on-screen doesn't show up. http://www.youtube.com/user/gomalley411George, what is your GarageBand version? The in-App purchase is only available in GarageBand 10.0 on Mavericks, but your profile signature says "iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.4)". That would mean, you are running GB '11 and not 10.0.
If you are indeed using GarageBand 10.0 and do not see an accept button, it could mean, that GarageBand 10.0 has already been accepted to your AppleID or from a different AppleID than the one you are using now. Have you signed into the AppStore with the AppleID you used originally to buy GarageBand ?
Have you checked the Updates Page at the AppStore, to see, if there is an update?

I have tried syncing my music from my itunes on my macbook to my iphone 4s and over 30 song won't transfer. It says the files cannot be found. Why is this and can I fix it?
You can try to repair your library. Once you are sure the files are all taken care of, you can sync the phone to remove all of the music and then sync again to add it back. That should take care of the issue.

Hello.
I did not touch my computer the past week, I've only been messing with my laptop. I had my computer off a whole day. I turn it on, open iTunes, and everything is gone.
I system restore. Everything is gone. None of my podcasts, apps, or music files are there. My iPod itself is fine. I restore back to current settings, still, everything gone.
I plug my iPod in. I don't think it took anything off my iPod, but even without syncing, it eliminated a ton of the songs on my iPod from my 'purchased' playlist. Now, these songs will not transfer back over to iTunes because iTunes is not recognizing them as official songs. Is there a link to download/redownload your past purchases again? I was trying to find that but had no luck. (Also my iTunes purchase history is incorrect and has at least 1 omitted song I paid for, but that is another story for another day). I want these songs to transfer to my library so I can put them on a future iPod I bought.
I do things the legal way, I do not illegally get any music. I've bought 800 to 1000 songs from iTunes over the year (now that is a lot of money). Now my iPod is listing it as only 600 and some. This is my second iPod and the second time I've had major issues with the iPod just going crazy on me. I won't stick with Apple if I get screwed out of songs I have paid for.
Anyways, from what I have described, does anyone know what is up? Directions on where to go to download all past purchases? Ideas?
The only potentially bad thing I've done with iTunes at all is I delay updating it as long as possible. I hadn't updated the most recent update for a few months now. Still, that is no reason for the system to go ape **** on me. I am fairly certain at this point that *all* my songs are still on my iPod, but as I said, if this one all of a sudden died or I wanted to get a new one, I'm looking at half my actually bought songs being non-transferrable.

Yes, that tends to delete everything.
Or you restored everything from a backup?

Selete Store on the left side of iTunes.
Make sure you are signed in.
Click on Purchased on the right side under Quick links to redownlaod your purchases.
Then make sure to regularly backup, backup, backup all your important data . -
How can I determine what is running in the background on my ipad?
I have had my Ipad for 6 months. I use wi-fi and cellular 250MB data plan. I have never exceeded 250 MB in a month. This month I ran out of data in 5 days. Also, I usually get a couple of days before I have to recharge. Now I need to recharge in less than a day. The only thing I can think is something is running in the background. Is there a way to see what is running in the background (this is my first apple product, I have always used windows products so I am not sure I am using the apple nomenclature), I have rebooted so I will see if that fixes the problem. I am curious to see what is happening in the background
A double click on the Home button will reveal a tray containing all apps that are currently running (suspended?).
Side swiping this will reveal as many as are active, with a swipe to the right when on the first display will reveal further controls for the iPad, mainly relating to the iPod part, but also containing a screen lock option I believe.
Click and hold any one of them till they 'jiggle' and show a - you can then click this to remove it, relaunching the app as required in the normal way.

How can I tell what is using up the space on my hard drive?
My computer has been messing up for a while, giving me the message "startup disc almost full". I only have 4 gb free space now, after throwing all my photos and music onto external drive. What is making my disc so full? All the rest of my files are text? How can I figure out what is taking up so much space? Thanks
Moving iTunes music is more involved than a simple
drag and drop affair; you would be making copies on
some other media, but could be leaving duplicates or
originals on the hard drive in the process. Same with
images and iPhoto derived items. There are some
Apple Support documents on how to manage these.
The user folder has things in it you have installed;
generally your saved items would be found in there.
