Why won't all my tv shows from my computer show up on my ipad when I am in sharing mode?

I have turned on sharing on iTunes on my iMac and made sure that everything is sharable, but that it is protected by a password. On my iPad, I can access my iMac's library via the grey icon with the home/music note on it. When I view my tv shows, many of the shows are duplicated and even more are missing completely. On iTunes on my iMac, I have 42 tv shows that I should be seeing on my iPad. The iPad show 27 tv shows, 2 shows that are displayed aren't on my iMac to begin with, 2 shows are duplicated, 3 shows are triplicated, and 2 shows are quadruplicated. Why am I not able to access the other 15 shows from computer and why are shows creating themselves or replicating on my iPad? I tried restarting both my computer and iPad. I triple checked the iTunes/sharing settings on both devices and everything should be working just fine... Help!!

Homesharing has issues that have not been fixed over several versions of itunes and ios.
Only kind of fix is go back through your library and retag it.

I have had the same problem with mine. Just been through the online helpdesk and found this article. Basically you need to ensure the file extension (eg .jpg) appears after the file name in orer for the pictures to sync with your apple device. Hope this helps

I have downloaded photos and video taken recently to my mac book pro, however when I sync my iPad to my mac book pro just the photos are imported, the videos are not transferred to my iPad, why?

They need to be in the correct format to play on the iPad 2. This is 720p H.264 Main Profile 3.1, AAC audio at 128k bitrate stereo. You can transfer videos to the iPad really easily with Pic Share it. You just drag and drop them from the Mac to the iPad and the video will show up in your camera roll. It's a free application.

I've rented plenty of movies before so I know how it's supposed to work. I rented the movie, moved it to the iPad, synced, and my purple video bar goes up to show the movie is syncing, but when it says it's finishing the sync, the purple video bar suddenly goes way down and it doesn't put the movie onto the ipad. HOWEVER, on my imac in itunes, it shows the video is on my ipad. But, look in Videos on the ipad and it isn't there. I tried searching my ipad for the movie, and got nothing. It isn't there. So, i went back to delete the movie from the ipad and was going to sync and then move it back to the ipad and sync again, but now i get a message saying that if i delete the movie from my ipad i'll have to rent the movie again. ***? No...rentals will still appear in the Videos app and like you said, a Spotlight Search should reveal them if they are actually on the iPad.
You did try the basic stuff, like close the videos app, reboot the iPad? You should ba able to "move" the rental back to iTunes on your iMac without penalty of having to rent it again.

Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.

Many users have lost photos while preforming a restore from backup or upgrading the iOS. Recall, only photos in the camera roll are backed up to iCloud. There is a way to turn backups for camera roll on/off, perhaps these users had camera roll turned off.

IMPORTANT...
Photos should be regularly synced to a computer (like you store photos from a digital camera) using either USB via iTunes (on a mac use iPhoto or Aperture to move them to an album) or using photo stream - and then moved into permanent albums for storage. If using Photo stream, but sure to move the received photos to a permanent album. If you have been doing that, then you can sync those photos back to your device.
If you haven't been saving photos except relying on iCloud to store them in a backup, then that is risky, as many users have discovered. I'm afraid I have no advice in this case - there is no "cure".

Why won't all of my smart playlists sync? They show up in the playlist screen of my ipad music app. When I click on the playlist, there are no songs listed. I sync it again, and the playlist now shows zero songs in the list. Yes, sorry, you are correct, it was iTunes Match. I purchased storage on iTunes Match (probably a bad idea), because I had over 1000 songs on my i-phone 4S -which is eating up my storage space. Well, anyway...After I purchased it, I followed the instructions: go to: Settings, "open" music, "Turn on" iTunes Match. After I did that, I opened up the Music App -on my phone -ALL of my playlists were gone and only 208 songs showed... I messed up my phone once before and I had to log into my i-Tunes account (on my computer) and "reset" to another date. I would like to do that again -if possible...

I've followed directions exactly on how to embed forms to my website. I'm using iWeb and pasting the code into HTML snippet widgets. I've built a few website before using this procedure, and Adobe Forms worked great in the past. Recenly, I've updated a website and created new pages. Is there something I have missed? Did Adobe change protocol? Is there something wrong with my account? Is there additional code needed? The form dispays in my website editor, however: Why won't my embedded forms show up at all in any browser,(IE, Safari, Firefox, or Chrome) whether the browser is pulling files from a local folder, or from a hosted server?

Some of the people in my contacts have multiple e-mail addresses. Using contacts from within Apple Mail I can see these e-mail addresses. I then select the e-mail address I need to use and it is highlighted in blue. However, when I drag that e-mail address into the e-mail it uses the first e-mail address on the list and does NOT use the one that is highlighted.
This worked perfectly with good old Snow Leopard. Why doesn't it work now? What is the procedure for selecting an e-mail address that is not the first one in contacts ?

To see if there's a recovery volume installed reboot with the Option key held down and see what volumes are shown that you can book from. If there is a recovery volume it will be displayed. The arrow keys can be used to moved to the desired volume and the Enter or Return key to start the boot.
Yes I did that. I don't no why, but I have no recovery volume.
However, I do have mavericks on a USB flash drive. I booted from the flash drive and followed your procedure. This did not fix my Mail problem.
I notice now that after I drag an e-mail address into the header there is a small down arrow next to the incorrect e-mail address, this allows me to choose from a small group including the correct e-mail. I'm just wondering, perhaps this Is the way Apple Mail works in Mavericks.
