Why won't any of my search engines work? Typing a web address in works just fine but when searching through google, yahoo, bing, etc. it freezes up.

When trying to use a search engine, it is constantly "thinking" and eventually times out. All search engine's are doing the same thing.

Perform the suggestions mentioned in the following articles:

I just bought a new MacBook Pro this summer and was all excited. But I'm very frustrated right now because I can't connect to any external monitors through VGA. My thunderbolt (DisplayPort Mini) to HDMI works just fine, but when I try with my other connector to go from Thunderbolt (DisplayPort Mini) to VGA, Nothing works. my screen goes blue and changes size like it recognized something but nothing is ever detected on the external moniter or projector. I'm not sure what is wrong but it's very frustrating. I'm just very depressed that it worked just fine with my 2-year-old MacBook Pro but isn't working now. I'm running OS X 10.8.2. I just upgraded yesterday from 10.8.1 but that upgrade did nothing to fix my problem. Can anyone help? Thanks

I am haveing this exact same issue. I have plugging in 3 monitors and tried two different VGA to mini displayport and nothing is working. I recently bought a Acer monitor and it work for an hour and now it back to doing the same thing.
When I plug the VGA adapter in to the monitor the monitor think its not connected to a computer then when disconnecting the VGA adapter the monitor thinks it is connected to a computer.
NEED SOME HELP!!! at the point of all my hair is pulled out.

I have Firefox 17.0.1, by doing a system restore, I lost all my major default search engines, google, yahoo, bing, etc.; can't get them back

Firefox was working fine until I did a system restore to get rid of a DLL initialization failed error; it went back 20 days; an older version of firefox was there and it wouldn't update, then I noticed all my major search engines and defaults were gone, including google, yahoo, bing, etc. Some of the minor search engines were there. I couldn't even add them manually.
I tried using system restore again, going back like yesterday; it doesn't work. The files or something is wrong. How can I fix this to get my major search engines back, or being able to add them. In manage search engines there is a restore default box exists but it doesn't work.
I have windows xp professional. Please help, this is driving me crazy. I also tried typing a command in the run in the start menue to go into a safe mode and click on restore defaults. It also didn't work, no safe mode.

I believe now you potentially lose all extensions, plug-ins when you use the new reset function, but you will let me know.
If that is the case, your find corrupt file method maybe better. However, I reviewed the two help articles and there appear to be more files than just the delete search.json file and a possible search.sqlite file in the Firefox Profile Folder. I am confused. Then I have to find the folders. I think help articles mentioned how to find the profile containing the files, but not sure.

Why won't one of my clips from my memory card import properly? It shows up but when I eject it, it disappears!!

ALL but ONE of my clips imported fine from the memopry card. The one specific clip that I am having trouble with appears in the timeline, but when the memory card is ejected, the footage is missing. So I tried to export the project with the memory card in and the share options won't even highlight!! I can't click them! Someone please help

Copy the card to you Mac. Then import from the copied file.

My iPod was working just fine but all of a sudden it won't connect to iTunes?

I've done everything I can think of! I system restored my computer, I reinstalled iTunes and even repaired it like two times, I've even installed an older version of iTunes. In the older version of iTunes it at least registers that I've connected my iPod to it... except it says "songs cannot be added to the iPod "%1$S" because all of its space has been reserved for data." And something about a FireWire and "You must connect using FireWire to restore the iPod ~^FILENAME"."

However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components

Why won't any mfi certified charging cable work on my iPhone 6

I have purchased over the last year several lightning charger leads from a well known shopping site and have always made sure they are Mfi certified to protect my iPhone 5s... Now I have my lovely new iPhone 6, they no longer work.. I have tried the expensive ones and the cheaper Amaxon Basics range (all mfi c'd) but still get thst sand not compatible massage.. Is it true that Apple have indeed banned even Mfi accessories from working on their devices??

Hi all and thank you for your input regarding this issue! This is an update to a problem that has now been resolved and one that may be of interest to anyone with same ploblem!!
i Took my phone once again to a geneus bar on Thursday and they did a diagnostic on battery which didn't give any errors, I did say this may have been a false reading due to the fact I'd been using a power bank during that day. He insisted that it may have been a software issue even though other genius reps said this wouldn't be the case! Also I'd done a full reset and set up as new to no avail! Anyway, eventually he agreed to exchange handset. 24 hrs later my battery has still got 56% remaining AND all charger leads now work fine with no error messages!! Make your own judgements to what the problem was but my judgement is maybe genius isn't quite all its cracked up to be. I would however say that the service was extremely good in that at no point was I accused as being wrong. He just had May the wrong info supplied by apple. Hope this helps anyone else with a similar problem as was driving me mad having to charge my phone by lunchtime And not being able to use my 3rd party mfi chargers.

Why would my iPhone work perfectly fine but when it gets to 48% it randomly shuts off?

I did a Sony Vaio Care maintenance and now Explorer works find, Firefox won't open Gmail except in HTML and won't display features on Facebook or parts of webpages. Java is on. Flahs is OK. Explorer works just fine but Firefox will not.

Facebook messages will not open.
But everything works fine in Explorer... except I hate Explorer.

I was having this problem too and found an easy fix from another thread. Finally have my firefox back up and running!! See below:
"Easy to fix. Clear your browser cache (Tools > Clear Recent History > select Cache, click Clear Now).

I have a droid incredible and my best friend has an ipod touch. She can send texts to me and I receive them just fine but when I send texts to her, she doesn't receive them. Any suggestions on what might be wrong?

She is using the message free app and I was just using the regular texting option on my phone. I set up an account on text plus free cuz I thought that might help but she still can't receive them. Why won't my USB to Coax converter work? No output

I'm trying to use a USB to Coax converter with my iMac. It's detected just fine but when I try to play any audio in iTunes it flat out won't tick past 0:00. It's like iTunes doesn't recognize it as an output.
The device is an Audio-gd Digital Interface and I want to use it because the USB section of my Marantz SA8004 is awful. I know it's probably a quick fix but I'm at a loss.

Is this a USB hard drive or a USB thumb drive?
If hard drive is it one of the USB powered drives, IE No AC Adapter to supply power to the drive?
