Try the iPod troubleshooting assistant:

Restart the iPod Service
Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service
Empty your Temp directory and restart
Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed
Change your iPod's drive letter
Remove and reinstall iTunes
Disable conflicting System Services and Startup Items
Update, Reconfigure, Disable, or Remove Security Software
Deleting damaged or incorrect registry keys

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I understand how to set the restore tabs function and have done so. Usually my tabs reopen when I restart, but every once in a while if I have other windows (not tabs) open, and I forget to close them all first, before I close my main window, then when I reopen, my tabs are gone. I have gone to History and I can see the Restore Previous Session and Restore Closed Tabs commands, but they are not highlighted and they don't work. Please advise
Try using the Firefox button > Exit when you go to close Firefox, that should save all your open windows / tabs.

Hi! I'm trying to get the correct image size for a pic I need for a Greencard application for the US. My friend took the photo on a DLSR. I set up a Photoshop document measuring 600 x 600 pixels, the size needed by the application document, but I can't get the image smaller than around 550kb. When I "save as JPEG" in Photoshop, no matter how poor the quality slider, the image stays around 1MB. Is there another way to get the image down to 240kb @ 600 x 600 pixels??????
The file opened and cropped in photoshop was a camera raw file?

I just wanted to update firefox and it won't let me. I drag the icon into applications, then a window ask me if I want to replace older version. I click yes and the window mentioned above appears. I purchased this computer new, I'm the only owner. Why would I not give myself permission to do something on my own computer.
If you get an error message that you do not have sufficient permissions or have problems with updating then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install

After the last upgrade being installed on my ipod it now says I have successfully restored my ipod but it will not let me sign in due to a server error? Anyone any ideas?

This may occur if you are connected to the Internet and iTunes is trying to connect to the iTunes Store and fails for some unknown reason.
Try this:
Quit iTunes and disconnect completely from the Internet.
IF you have an iPhone (iPod etc), open iTunes. Sync the device.
Re-enable your Internet connection.
Quit iTunes.
Open iTunes again.
If this does not work, try completely uninstalling iTunes, then reinstall it according to these instructions:

Why my iChat AV only work with Mac not PC
I've been use iChat to communicated with my parents for couple year. (I have a PowerMac G5 with external iSight. They have a PC and runnning AIM 5.9 version.) Everything works fine until recently I purchased a 15" MBP. I always got "User did not respond" whenever I try to connect with PC from the MBP. So, I did a test on Mac to Mac with my sister in-law. It works fine with her. What is worng with the new MBP? Now I always have to go back to my G5 when I need to talk with my parents. It really bothers me that my new computer isn't working. I am going to sell my G5 soon. I need the MBP work with them. Does anyone knows what can I do to make it work with PC and Mac both? (I have a Comcast Cable at home and I don't know anything about the modem..., small apartment with Airport Express. Both computer are pretty close to the Airport.)

We use it for reference only in the first instance.
After you have found your device you can click on it in the list.
This choose iChat from the next page.
It will then show a page that will tell you the default IP and user ID and Password you will need to access it in a web browser.
When you get this far it can be a question of loking at all the pages.
You will certainly need to look at any Port Forwarding (Virtual Server/Pin Holes) pages and tell us if there is any setting.
Also look to see if you have UPnP as this is easier to set up.

I created an application and in that application if date is changed the application starts from splash screen on re-entering and if date is not changed and u re-enters the application then it open in page where u leaved.It works with iPod not with iPhone

I tried Firefox 4.0, and it doesn't work with Yahoo. Until you find a fix, I have to stay with 3.6

Why does the color red change from working with images in develop to library? The color gets lighter and nothing shows a change on histogram but visually you can see it.
That's probably a broken display profile. The conversion from Library's Adobe RGB is different than the conversion from Develop's linear ProPhoto, so if there's a problem with the display profile it can show up this way.
Recalibrate, or if you don't have a calibrator use sRGB. If your monitor is a wide gamut model use Adobe RGB.
Assuming Windows, change it in Control Panel > Color Management > Devices, and relaunch Lightroom so that it can pick up the new profile at startup: -

meeemoYou didn't state what model curve you have (8300, 8310, 8320, 8350, 8520?), but download from your carrier same OS that is on your device now (Look at Options > About, third line down beginning with a "v.4.xxx") and install that OS to your PC.
Then, run Desktop Manager > Application Loader, and check the box for the Task app.

My system preferences won't load. It opens straight up to the desktop folder and pictures won't load, leaving me with a color wheel. I've tried restarting my computer and that doesn't help. System preferences just won't open/load at all. Any ideas?
