Note: The iPod Touch and iPhone are not supported yet.

I recently got a new computer and I had to download iTunes 11 for my iPod Classic. The problem I'm having is that I plugged it in to sync my music because I had some new songs etc to put on, but when I plugged it in it would say on my iPod that it was connected but it wouldn't show up on my iTunes. I have tried everything I can think of to try and find it. I've even looked it up online but nothing worked. Should I just try and find iTunes 10 or is there a way I can fix this?

I have 2 suggestions for this depending on if it is recognized or not in Windows Explorer.

I have found a way. Not elegant, but it does work.
Itunes looks for a contact list on your mac. But, if you are signed up for iCloud, it appears your contacts are actually on iCloud, not your Mac. So, you see your address book (left column) shows headings for "on my mac" and for "iCloud". If you select "on my mac", no contacts appear.
However, you can drag contacts or groups of contacts from the iCloud list to the on my mac list. They will then sync to your iPod classic.
Of course, you'll have to periodically some housecleaning as you modify the contacts that are in the cloud, but it does work.

Try this:
Go to: Mac HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins
Trash the AdobePDFViewer.plugin and AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin files
Empty the trash
Relaunch Safari. You can now download undamaged PDFs.

Adobe Reader is a read only software for PDF files. JPEG is not a supported format which would open in Adobe Reader. You would need to open Jpeg in application which supports this file format.(e.g. Photoshop, Picture Viewer, MS Paint)

Why won't my Nike+iPod app work on my iPod touch anymore? I just get a red screen then it closes. Anyone have an idea why this happens. It work fine not to long ago but I went to use it today and it's not working.

I have had Radio National podcasts in itunes for a while but it has not updated since Dec 13 and I went to the website to download the new podcasts and it says that I do not have a RSS reader loaded?

Click where it says 'Subscribe in iTunes'. When the page opens, click 'View in iTunes'. When iTunes opens and shows the Store page click 'Subscribe'.
If that doesn't answer it, you need to give more details as to what exactly you are doing.

Why can Itunes not read my ipod's content?

Everytime I do an update on itunes it works perfectly fine. The second time I open up itunes on the most recent version it says it cannot read my ipod's conent. So it's not my ipod that doesn't work since it can work the first time it is on itunes, it is itunes that does not work. I don't have a backup file for my songs and I do not want to restore my content. I just want to add more music from itunes which does work THE FIRST TIME. The last time I even tried to restore my ipod to factory settings it wouldn't even let me. It also isn't letting me doing any updates on my ipod for some reason and it says I'm still on 4.3.5, but that isn't even an option below. (I hate itunes, it's far too complicated than it really needs to be).

Okay, so I had persomed a diagnostic check, and it said ipod not found. Does that help or make it worse?

Ipod touch Why won't my 2nd gen ipod touch sync with ical

Rather recently my ipod touch (2nd gen) won't sync with the ical. The only information that shows up is birthdays. None of my appointments past or future are syncing. What is happening?
I have tried to 1. select individual calendars and 2. tried to select "all" and even 3. tried the one time replace all calendar options. No go. I can't get events to show up other than birthdays.
I only sync with the USB port to my macbook pro

In fact I had only the birthday calendar turned on. I was unaware that could be done. Now that I have all showing it works just fine. Thanks!

Why won't logic read my guitar??

I have input 1 set to instrument. I've tried every combination of phase invert and phantom power (although i dont even know what those things are) and my guitar still won't read. Fresh batteries, volume turned up. I've tried all diff settings on my guitar.

Also, this same input jack works fine with my keyboard, so why not the guitar???

Why won't excel read my csv file created with the powersell out-file automatically.

I wrote a PowerShell script that creates a CSV formatted file. The script simply creates a comma delimited string for each entry and adds it to a collection. Then the out-file command write it to a file.
When you open it with Excel each line is put into one cell. If you import the file and specify the "," as the delimiter, it imports just fine. If the data is saved out again as a csv file, the file is about half the size and opens
just fine with excel.
If you open the original file and the file created by Excel with notepad, they look the same.
So the files are different in size, contents look the same, but Excel won't automatically open the original file.
Any ideas of why this happens? Also PowerShell and Excel are both running on Server 2012 R2. Excel is a remote app.
If I do an export-CSV, I get some kind of information about the object.

does. I figured ".keys" was a method but my search for it comes up blank. Do you have a reference you can point me to?

Why won't my BRAND NEW iPod Nano 7th Generation recognize headphones?

My BRAND NEW iPod Nano 7th Generation (purchased from and Apple Store less than a week ago) will not recognize any headphones. Consequently, I can hear NO sounds. It worked just fine right after I set it up. I turned it off, disconnected headphones that came with the Nano. Several hours later I turned it on again, plugged in the headphones, and then I could hear NOTHING. When I tried the radio, I got the message there was no signal because it said the headphones were not plugged in, which they were. I have tried two other sets of headphones. None work, but they all work in another iPod, so I know it is not the headphones. I restored the software and started over, but this didn't help either. I have pushed the headphone jack in as far as possible. This is very frustating because this Nano was a birthday gift for my husband. I will be grateful for any help. Thanks a lot.

Thanks SO much for the GREAT advice! I did just what you said, and I am back in business. The sound is fine, and the radio works. I cleaned out the jack with a tooth pick, blew some air in, and pushed the jack in a bit harder.I guess I was too tentative about pushing the jack all the way in. You were right that it is a tight fit. Thanks again, deggie. My husband thanks you also! His birthday gift now works! Yay!
