Why won't Firefox suddenly won't display SoundSlides files -- new and ones displayed in the past? I've cleared history, cookies, etc. Also deleted and reinstall
Firefox will no longer display our university news website news.wsu.edu correctly, AND it will no longer display SoundSlides files that we have posted. Have tried deleting and reinstalling Firefox. Deleting all history, cookies, etc.
It works ok for me but then I am not using Flash 11.3 on Windows.
I can see http://news.wsu.edu/ ok
When I try http://news.wsu.edu/pages/publications.asp?Action=Detail&PublicationID=32021&TypeID=1. I get a mainly blank page with an error message

Possibly the link is not quite correct. (trailing dot ?)
Selecting a "sound slide" does however work ok for me I get a slide show with very loud music.

You can retrieve the certificate and check who issued the certificate.
* Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".

Clearing history (cookies, etc..) locks up firefox 4 and 5 in Win 7 64 bit
I have 4 completely different PCs running Windows 7 64 bit. Every time I manually clear the history/cookies/etc.. firefox locks up and crashes. This has been happening since firefox 4 and still exists in firefox 5. Also, closing firefox (4 or 5) doesnt always kill the process. So later (even hours later) when I try to open up firefox, I get a message that an instance is already running. Its not killing the process. I have to kill it manually.
You could copy CD/DVD of BC 4 to Windows C:. I keep various BC versions in a C:\MacSaves folder.
You could then delete the Drivers\ATI folder and try Setup.exe without it.
If that fails, you'll see Bootcamp(64).msi in the Apple Folder. You could try to run this by itself. -
When I attempt to load a .pdf file, a window pops up reading "There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. If it is running, please exit and try again. (4:4)"
I have tried rebooting the computer, uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, making sure all plug-ins are updated (they are), disabling every other plug in to see if it was interfering (they weren't -- still got same message), and reinstalling adobe reader (and flash, just for good measure).Did you try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox?

Why won't an MP3 file on my Mac play on the boombox?
Hello, I tried to pair the Sony Bluetooth Boombox Model #ZSBTG900 with a new Macbook Pro (for the first time) with the boombox close to the computer & Bluetooth turned on. The proper words appear on the boom box display and the necessary blue light is on. Running OS 10.9.4, in Bluetooth Preferences the boombox model # appears as a Bluetooth device and is connected. When I "Send File to Device..." using Bluetooth File Exchange v.4.2.6 (4.2.6f1), the MP3 file on my Mac doesn't play on the boombox. Sony told me that the bluetooth version of the boombox is 3.0 and it will connect only to a device having the same bluetooth profile.
The Sony specs in the Operating Instructions say: The audio formats supported by this unit are as follows: MP3: file extension “.mp3”; WMA: file extension “.wma”. Compatibility requirements for the devices are as follows. Before using with this unit, check that your device meets the requirements. Devices must conform to BLUETOOTH Standard version 3.0.Devices must support A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) and AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile). NFC capability (required only when using the NFC pairing function of the unit).
Can anyone kindly suggest how to troubleshoot this issue?

Difficulty using a projector. I have a MBP 17" and am running 10.6.8. Often I need to make a Powerpoint or other presentation at a client and I want to connect my computer to their projector. Either it won't display on the projector at all. Once it displayed but the presentation mode was on the big screen and the presentation I wanted to show was on my MBP screen. I have the adapter( white ones) to attached to the projector cables. I am so frsutrated...it looks so silly not to have a computer work during a presentation..
Another problem one the rare occasion that it shows on the screen is that the presentation does show just my desk top. Any ideas?
Thanks !You often have to turn off Mirroring to be able to set the second "screen"s resolution to something reasonable. When you do, the two screens become an "Exceeded Desktop" joined along one edge, and the Arrange pane in displays prefs can allow you to specify what edge. Initially, it will show a vacant extension of the built-in screen's desktop.
The mouse moves freely across that shared edge, and can allow you to drag the presentation window across to the the projector screen and re-size it to fit. -

Is this for text you've already typed? Did you select it first? If that's not it, for PSE 11 and 12 go to the far right of the tool options, click the four-lined square and choose Reset Tool. For PSE 10 and earlier go to the far left options bar, click the tiny triangle (or the tool icon for really old versions) and choose Reset Tool.

Why won't OS X Mavericks start downloading when I click the download button? It thinks and acts like it starts downloading with the thinking circle moving then stops and goes away. I have tried going to the purchases in the app store and restarting it there and that is not working either.

Why won't some pdf-files open on tablet/phone?
I simply get the error saying: The document cannot be opened because it's not a valid pdf-document.
However I have no problems opening the file with my laptop, only my phone and tablet (Jellybean 4.2.2) won't open it.
My friends also have managed to open the file on their tablets (android/windows).
Have reinstalled and checked updates and tried other programs but none has worked for me.

What version of iPhoto? Of the OS? what has changed since it worked? How are you trying to open it (clicking on the icon in the Dock, double clicking on the application in the applications folder, ???)?
Anything else you can tell a total stranger who can not see you or your computer to let them assist you?

Why won't my apps show on my main screens? The only way I can access them is by going back to the App Store and clicking open.
So there are no apps at all on your home screens? Try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. If you don't see anything after that, take a look at all of your home screens and folders to see if something is hidden. It that doesn't work, you can go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

I am trying to use Find My Friends and I have been through troubleshooting 3 times. Why won't my location work? Everything is on but the 2nd screen in Find My Friends is grayed out, whereas my other family members 2nd screens are active? I have an iPhone 6 Plus, latest ios8, and yes my location says it is being shared, but it is not.
