Why won't iCal let me name a calendar?

Everytime I try to make a new calendar in iCal, after I type in the name, it refuses to accept the name of the new calendar and just calls it "untitled". Even when I try to then rename the "untitled" with "Home", it doesn't accept it. This is crazy. Any help out there?

Why won't iChat let me add a new account?

I recently deleted my iChat account and I do not want to use Bonjour List. I am on the administer account and there are no other accounts created on my computer. Parental controls are also not on. Why won'y iChat let me add a new account, I am trying to add my AIM account. If you could please help me.

Why won't ICal log into my account..it continues to say i have the wrong password even though i continue to change the password.

Insufficient information here: what account? What operating system are you running? (Please always post this when you have a query). Can you sign in to other facilities on the account, whatever it is?

HT4743 When I try to buy a tv episode, it comes up with a message "problems communicating with itunes store, try later" click ok and then another messge comes up to verify payment info online. Everything is correct. Why won't it let me buy??

When I try to buy a tv episode on apple tv, it gives me a message of "problems connecting with store, try again later". I hit ok, and then another message comes up to go online and verify payment information. I have done that, all info is correct. Why won't it let me purchase? This has been going on for days.

I figured it out!
I read a solution for something that sounded similar.
Anyone in similar position:
Open iTunes app on iPhone, and pick an option from bottom, such as music. Then scroll down to bottom of page and where your iTunes ID is, press on it, and pick sign out.
Then return to home screen, and double press home button and press and hold on first icon showing, until a minus symbol appears in the top left of icons present. Press on each minus symbol on each app in turn, until all app icons have disappeared. Then Restart the phone by pressing and hold the home button and the on/off/standby button at top of phone, until the apple symbol appears in centre of blank screen.
Swipe to turn phone fully on and open settings and scroll down to iTunes and apps option and tap that. Pick sign in and put in your apple ID, it will accept it and then return to home screen and open iTunes a you'll find it works fine
Simple really, but some like me won't think f this themselves!

You can try to make a new account on iTunes Store if you didnt have yet.
I had the same problem with iTunes Store, the only thing you can do is to put some money on that credit card you are using with you account. iTunes Store already keeping some money for the last purchase you made you can see all info on the Account option and then Purchase history ...

I want to gift a couple songs to my boyfriend, but when i try to gift the songs it asks for my credit card information. i have over $100 in itunes store credit from gift cards. i want to use that money to purchase the songs i will be gifting. why won't itunes allow that? i looked up tutorials and gifting should be easy and all you submit is the other person's email but thats not happening for me.

Why won't Apple let me set duckduckgo as my default search engine for safari?

I am using a iPad Mini and Safari only lists three options for a default search engine (google, bing, yahoo), all of which lack privacy. I would like to set my default to duckduckgo and would prefer not to modify my iPad illegally or use secondary apps (duckduckgo app). Why won't Apple just let me modify my default search engine manually? I quite enjoy Safari and don't like wasting space with other browsers on my iPad.

Why won't the author's name display below my PDF's in edit mode?

I use iBooks consistently everyday primarily to view my PDF music files I download... When I use edit mode in iBooks to select my PDF's and reorganize them, the author names disappear... I can not use this update if the app won't display the author's name in edit mode... Please put it back where I can see the author's names in edit mode and I would love to update and give 5 stars...

I am a professional pianist, and PDF music files are sheet music that I scan and turn into a PDF file so I can view them from my ipad...
PDf music files are also sheet music that I score using music notation software on my Mac that I turn into PDF files, so I can use my iPad while I play the piano to view all of my music...

I will keep trying to send feedback in hopes that my request can be heard, and used to restore the authors' names in edit mode...
Let's say I have 7 different versions of the song "Silent Night" by 7 different authors...
If I use edit mode to categorize those songs into playlists, once the authors' names are removed, I have no way of being able to tell the different versions of the song apart from each other...
I'm unable to select the song titles quickly in order to move them into playlists...

Why does the time disappear when I enter an event in iCal, month view? I like to enter events such as "4:00 Dentist" but iCal drops the 4:00, requiring me to open every event to see its details. Can I change this?

What happens when you try to use it ?
The card is still registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account e.g. you haven't moved and your iTunes and card addresses are now out-of-line ? Why won't iTunes let me import this album from my music folder?

For some reason, iTunes won't let me import Radiohead In Rainbows from my music folder. The songs are mp3 files. I've imported thousands of songs and haven't had a problem. I've tried dragging it in and importing from the file menu.
The one thing I notice is that MP3 is capitalized in the file names, but I don't know if that has anything to do with. The music plays fine in Windows Media Player, but I want to put it in itunes so I can put it on my iPod.

I appreciate the reply. How do you check permissions (what is permissions)? This is very strange since it worked flawlessly in my itunes libraray before recently as well as my ipod and all of a sudden it wouldn't play in my library so I deleted the tracks from the library and tried to re-add them but it doesn't load them now and doesn't give me any kind of error message.
These are official MP3 tracks that I downloaded from the official Radiohead website and they play fine on my Ipod, Windows Media Player, and Quicktime. Just not Itunes itself.

Why won't it let me hit anything?

I was trying to put a title slide into my movie. While I was editing it, and typing something else on the Scroll title, I hit the font button and now it won't let me hit anything else. Everytime I click it gives me a rejecting noise. Why is this?

It could be that the disk you're saving your captures on are not fast enough or maybe is full. If you have an external disk that you can connect via firewire you can try to define this disk as the one to save your captures on. As I recall you do so by choosing 'Save all' in the files menu and then point to the ext. disk.
