P.S. When you go to the "Info" tab of the iPhone while connected to iTunes and click on "Sync notes", it reads: "Your notes are being synced over the air. You can also choose to sync notes with this computer. This may result in duplicated data showing on your advice."
I'm confused why everything else syncs via USB except Notes. Why "over the air", which appears to be unreliable? And I don't want duplicate notes. Any advice how to fix this would be great. I take notes all the time on both devices, and have been caught unprepared in the past while out in the field without a note I took on the iMac and that I needed, say, to get where I was going. Really would like to get this resolved so I don't have to think about it anymore. Thanks again for any input!

This usually happens because iCloud only keeps photo stream photos for 30 days (even though your last 1000 photos will remain on your phone until deleted). When you enabled photo stream on your Mac you only received photo stream photos from the last 30 days.
To get older photos to your Mac, create a shared photo stream containing them and invite yourself as a subscriber (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99). The be sure you check Shared Photo Streams in iPhoto>Preferences>Photo Stream. You can then import them to your iPhoto library by opening the shared photo stream album in iPhoto, then going to Edit>Select All, Control-clicking on any of the selected photos and selecting Import.

If you do not want to use passcodes, why don't you just go to Settings > General > Passcode Lock and delete the passcode and set the lock to OFF. That will eliminate the problems all together.

I have both my iPhone and iPad backing up via iCloud, but they are not sharing the information between devices ie if I purchase an app on one it does not transfer to the other although the backup is successful via iCloud.

Backing up to icloud is not the same as syncing data between devices. Go to
Settings>Store. Turn on the automatic downloads that you want on that screen.
Settings>iCloud. Turn on the features you want to sync between devices.

You need to reconfigure your phone for use with your Apple ID. I suggest you restore yours as new then reconfigure it with your information and Apple ID. Be sure to disable Find My Phone, if it's enabled, before proceeding.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

You have to go to Settings>iCloud and tap Delete Account, then sign back in with your updated credentials. This deletes the account and your synced data from your device, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account and not changing to a different account, your data will be synced back to your device when you sign back in.

Just make sure Automatic Downloads are set up for that publication;
Newsstand updates subscriptions only when using a Wi-Fi connection. If you aren't seeing the latest issue:
Verify that you are connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Check Settings > iTunes & App Store to verify that Automatic Downloads is enabled for that publication.

I got it to work by enabling cookies in safari settings and turning off private browsing. Cookies are probably the key thing here. Accept button will appear at bottom right of first screen of agreement.

Hmm... looks like this is an issue for that email provider for some reason.
A user in a bt.com forums recommends turning off Push Emails settings.

Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data > Turn Push Off.
Coudln't hurt to try it and see if the issue resolves itself.
