Why won't imovie save my EQ settings?

I am using imovie '11 and have spent hours and hours editing a film project that included many people to make it possible. I have a fast approaching deadline for finishing the film and now imovie will not save my EQ or background noise reduction changes for more than about five minutes. These changes determine a large part of the film's quality. Is there any way - even if it is some long complicated way - to manually save my changes?
imovie also has times that it fails to save my titles.
These glitches are driving me nuts. imovie needs a manual save option!

I keep opening up imovie to find the project I worked on 3 projects ago open in the editing panel, and none of my new stuff, including imports, visible. However, when I click "project library" all the recent projects are there with up to the minute edits. Not sure what's going on, but try clicking project library and see if your stuff is there.

Why won't FIREFOX save my HISTORY settings of USE CUSTOM settings?!!!

This is very very annoying. I'm ready to throw this program down the bit bucket.
I use it to access facebook and play farmville. I need it to REMEMBER things so that every time I load farm ville it doesn't have to get stuff from their server..

I go to firefox settings and find ONCE AGAIN my History preferences will NOT save "USE CUSTOM SETTINGS".
I have to change it every time. I have both 32 bit and 64 bit Nightly (beta) versions on my computer.
I have totally removed both, restarted windows 7, restarted it again, re-installed fire fox and it STILL happens...
Why? I will be darned if I will use explorer, but at least it SAVES the settings and doesn't get them screwed up!

OK so I agree I was confused. What is confusing me even more is the number of times sites tell me I need to set my cookie settings to accept when as far as I can see it already is.

Why Won't iMovie save my progress?

Right now I'm working on a ridiculously simple project. No more than five minutes long, a couple clips, a cross fade or two, and then done. Why the **** isn't iMovie saving this progress? I make these changes, i can't manually click File-->Save, so of course I'm left to letting iMovie do this for me, but it doesn't . After these changes, I quit the program, come back later to work on something else, and it's all gone.
I don't know who in Apple thinks this was a good idea--not implementing a manual SAVE function--something that literally every media software ever developed has done since the beginning of their existence. Why I can't be allowed to tell this piece of crap program to save is beyond me, because having to rely on the program itself to supposedly automatically track its progress and save by itself is not working.

I'm using iMovie 09...haven't figured-out 10 yet (can't find any tutorial info).
When I edit my movie with music and chapters and then shut-down and re-open the application, all of my editing is gone.
I thought iMovie automatically saved all changes.

Any Help? I did remove all the signature yet, still cannot save it.

I've solved it!
When you have saved the stationery, and opened a new email, make sure you have NO SIGNATURE.
If you have 'None' in the signature drop down list, then the template will display fine.
If you have a signature automatically added to emails, it interferes with the template being displayed and all you get is the signature.
So start with a blank email and no signature, before you select your custom-saved stationery.

Why won't iMovie 10.0.01 show any still photos?

On the new iMovie update, every single time I add a photo to my timeline, it shows up green! Why won't it show any still photos? Does anyone have a solution?

Are the photos too large of a file maybe?

In the Options | Privacy | History setting, I have "Never Remember History" selected. If I change this and hit OK, then re-enter the option, my new settings are reset to "Never Remember History". Why won't it save my changes?

Why won't Numbers save my character styles shortcuts?

I like to keep all my character styles shortcuts thru all my projects yet Numbers won't save them thru restarts or quits but it used to. Any help appreciated

Why won't Mail save stationery?

I just did a clean install of 10.6, and Mail won't save custom stationery I try to create. It does create the Custom category and shows what I saved there, but the text I entered is missing - only my signature shows up. The message has several of Mail's bulleted lists, but that shouldn't cause a problem. There are no graphics at all in my stationery.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Any help would be appreciated.

Why won't Firefox save my history, nor my "Options" choices regarding it?

Despite all my efforts, Firefox will NOT save my history, nor my choices (such as "Remember History") made under "Tools > Options" regarding it. How can I remedy this?

---If you did everything I suggested, you should still have your bookmarks saved (as an html file), all you need to do is import them once you get the problem resolved. I've done worse myself, when formatting and installing an OS and then realizing I forgot to move my bookmarks.html file to the temp drive... lol.

---I blame M$, IE and most of all Mozilla developers if the problem spreads to everyone who has IE8 on their systems. I don't have the issue, but my IE hasn't been updated from 7 when I upgraded and freshly installed Windows XP Pro SP3. Why won't Mail save my password(S)?

I enter my passwords in the Accounts pane of Mail's preferences, click"save," but they're never saved. As a result, I can't log into my Comcast mail. What to do?

In Mail's Preferences>Accounts, the password won't "stick" in the password field even after I click Save. I've double checked all the other settings in all other fields in Accounts, and all are correct. When I am in Mail and try to send a message (after setting the password in Accounts), a window comes up asking me to fill in my password again. I do, and check to keep it in the keychain, but the same window pops back up again, demanding the password. If I go back into Preferences>Accounts, the password field is blank AGAIN!! Just a little frustrating.
I've tried Keychain repair.
My mail.comcast.net password in Keychain are correct.
I've tried trashing Mail's and Keychain's .plist files and restarting before re-entering the password in Mail>Preferences>Accounts, but I am not sure I did those in the right order. I'm going to try that again and will post back.
I just got a new computer (MacBook Air) and this is the first time I've tried to use the Mail program, using Lion (10.7.1). I never had this problem when I used Snow Leopard and previous OSs.

Why won't iMovie capture video?

Help! iMovie HD 6 controls the camera (fast forward, playback, etc.), but no image will appear on the screen and it won't import. This has happened before and I was able to get it working by messing around with the audio midi setup utility. Not sure why it helped, but someone told me to try it. Now I can't get it to import no matter what I do. The blue screen says "Camera Connected", but when I hit the import button nothing happens. Any suggestions?

I had the same issues recently with my Canon HV20. Here's what I found:
1. Importing worked in iMovie 08, but not iMovie 6 HD.
2. Removing all other firewire devices (except the camera) from the computer allowed proper import. This includes external hard drives.

So, why WON'T iMovie import .mov files???

This is ridiculous--.mov is the default video file used by Apple! Save a video in Quicktime and it's automatically in .mov format!
But whats the one file type iMovie REFUSES to import?

A Google search shows that people have struggled for more than five years with this insane limitation, with the best workaround being "use third-party software to convert he .mov to another file type, and then import THAT."
Why would Apple create video editing software that rejects Apple's own default video format??

A .mov file is just a "container" (a bucket) that can hold dozens of different file compression formats.
Not all compression formats are supported by iMovie.

Why won't Photoshop save Spot Channels?

Okay so I've always had this issue. I have some of my files as Spot Channels, some as Alpha, I save it, but I go to close it says the file isn't saved correctly. If I save over it, it's fine when I open it back up, if I don't then the Alpha Channels are there but the Spot aren't. I've mostly just dealt with this because it always asks and I couldn't find a quick solution. I've recently upgraded to CC and the other day it didn't ask, which fortunately I was able to fix the file but was still a pain. So now I'm worried about losing part of my files. Why does it do that? How can I fix it? I'd rather not have to convert back to Alpha Channels if I don't have to. I am running Yosemite, but it's done that for years. Thanks.

Oh and Spot Channels IS checked when I hit Save As.
