Why won't iphone 6  connect via bluetooth

JUst got new iPhone 6+.  I am unable to get connection to any Bluetooth devises.  Tried two different speakers and sound bar on tv.  iPhone does not recognize the devise.  All had been connected via my old iPhone 5S
is there something in setup I sm missing?
THanks

Hello dwighthomer47,
Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like the iPhone is not connecting to several bluetooth devices. I would recommend that you read the part about being unable to find the other device, it may be able to help you isolate or resolve the issue.
iOS: Troubleshooting Bluetooth connections - Apple Support
Bluetooth disconnects, intermittent connectivity, or unable to find
Move your iOS device closer to the Bluetooth accessory.
Position your iOS device and Bluetooth accessory in direct line of sight of each other. For example, move the Bluetooth accessory and iOS device to the same side of your body.
Remove any case, stand, or other accessories from your iOS device and see if performance improves.
Check for sources of potential interference and move both the iOS device and the Bluetooth accessory away from other electronic devices.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset all network settings including: previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords, recently used Bluetooth accessories, VPN, and APN settings.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Have a nice day,
Mario

Why won't dropbox documents print via bluetooth to a pixma ip100 from a Mac Pro.  The ip100 prints gibberish continuously until it is unplugged.  There is no other way to stop the printing.

Pages can save documents to PDF format, but does not open them natively. Use iBooks or one of the many free apps available for that purpose on the App Store.

  • Macbook pro speaker output via iphone 4 connect via bluetooth ?

    Hi,
I wonder if anyone could help me out with this question on my head. If the functionality for bluetooth on macbookpro, could pair with the iphone's bluetooth and it could have the other function than only function like network sharing for example the one that I wish is sound output, so iphone could become bluetooth headset too.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Infortunately I do not have a solution neither.
Just to add that I have a triple boot, with Mac OC, Windows Vista 32-bit and Windows 7 64-bit and I have the exact same problem in recognising the external iphone earset microphone.
I have been trying to tweak the windows registry with no luck yet
Hope that there will be an an updated version of the bootcamp drivers that will solve this.
I went to an apple store yesterday (at Genius Bar) and i was unpleasantly surprised when a technician told me that the line-in socket was also compatible with an external mic (poor him)!

  • MBA won't connect to iPhone or Jambox via Bluetooth, but works with bluetooth Apple Mouse

MBA won't connect to iPhone or Jambox via Bluetooth, but works fine with bluetooth Apple Mouse. When trying to pair with the iPhone it says "The Bluetooth Network is unavailable. There was an error connecting to your device. Make sure the device is turned on and in range." When trying to connect to the Jambox it says "Bluetooth audio failed. There was an error connecting to your headset. Make sure it is turned on and in range. The audio portion of the program you were using may have to be restarted." The iPhone and Jambox pair together fine, and I have paired with both the iPhone and the Jambox easily in the past. I haven't updated anything - it just stopped working with these two devices. This is very frustrating.

I could not pair with Uconnect on a 2011 Jeep after upgrading to iOS 8.2 on an iPhone 6. After shutting off iCloud and resetting network settings I was able to successfully pair the phone to Uconnect

  • Why cannot my Mac book pro connect via bluetooth my Iphone 5?

why cannot my Mac book pro connect via bluetooth my Iphone 5?

Because the iPhone does not support the BlueTooth file transfer profile. The only phone to computer profile supported is for tethering.

I have an Ipad and an Ipod Touch 5th gen both on the latest firmwares but they won't connect via Bluetooth whenever I try even though both shows that the devices are discoverable. I also tried connecting them with my Bluetooth enabled laptop but it also didn't worked. Because of the Bluetooth not working I also can't enable airdrop.

    iPad mini
    iPod touch (5th generation)
You also need to turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. If you want to share with your contacts, sign in to your iCloud account.

    System Requirements
To see if your Mac works with AirDrop, make sure you’re in the Finder by clicking the desktop (the background area of your screen), or by clicking the Finder icon in the Dock. Then, check to see if AirDrop is listed as an option in the Go menu. If you don't see AirDrop listed, your Mac doesn't support this feature.

Otherwise you need an app to pair via BT one iOS device to another iOS device. There may be apps that allow pairing with a Mac computer. The iOS devioces do not have the BT profiles necessary natively to pair with a computer or another iOS device except for AirDrop

  • My iPhone 5 will no longer connect via bluetooth to Fitbit Flex or wireless headset

My iPhone 5 will no longer connect via bluetooth to my Fitbit Flex aftering updating to ios 7.  Apple phone support had me completely erase and set my phone up again as new to restart bluetooth pairing, then restore again through iCloud.  Worked last night but same problem today.  It also will no longer connect to my wireless headset in my car.  Of course I'm now 5 days over my 1 year warranty as well.  Any ideas?

Delete the pairing from both devices then pair them again.

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

Do you mean a MacBook Pro of the desktop MacPro?

  • Hi my wife and I have an iphone 5 each yet we cannot connect via bluetooth any solutions please

    Hi All
My wife and I cannot connect via bluetooth both phones just go in search mode but find nothing and both phones are now discoverable any help please thanks in advance

You can do it via Wi-Fi through email. Or you can set up an iPhoto library with a shared PhotoStream in order to share photos.
If you both sync your devices using iTunes to the same iTunes Library, then you can have a common library of data that each of you can sync to your devices. You can also share data through your iCloud storage account. You have 5 GBs for your Apple ID and can purchase more if needed.
