Why won't it let me hit anything?

I was trying to put a title slide into my movie. While I was editing it, and typing something else on the Scroll title, I hit the font button and now it won't let me hit anything else. Everytime I click it gives me a rejecting noise. Why is this?

It could be that the disk you're saving your captures on are not fast enough or maybe is full. If you have an external disk that you can connect via firewire you can try to define this disk as the one to save your captures on. As I recall you do so by choosing 'Save all' in the files menu and then point to the ext. disk.

When I try to buy a tv episode on apple tv, it gives me a message of "problems connecting with store, try again later". I hit ok, and then another message comes up to go online and verify payment information. I have done that, all info is correct. Why won't it let me purchase? This has been going on for days.

I figured it out!
I read a solution for something that sounded similar.
Anyone in similar position:
Open iTunes app on iPhone, and pick an option from bottom, such as music. Then scroll down to bottom of page and where your iTunes ID is, press on it, and pick sign out.
Then return to home screen, and double press home button and press and hold on first icon showing, until a minus symbol appears in the top left of icons present. Press on each minus symbol on each app in turn, until all app icons have disappeared. Then Restart the phone by pressing and hold the home button and the on/off/standby button at top of phone, until the apple symbol appears in centre of blank screen.
Swipe to turn phone fully on and open settings and scroll down to iTunes and apps option and tap that. Pick sign in and put in your apple ID, it will accept it and then return to home screen and open iTunes a you'll find it works fine
Simple really, but some like me won't think f this themselves!

Why won't iChat let me add a new account?

I recently deleted my iChat account and I do not want to use Bonjour List. I am on the administer account and there are no other accounts created on my computer. Parental controls are also not on. Why won'y iChat let me add a new account, I am trying to add my AIM account. If you could please help me.

You can try to make a new account on iTunes Store if you didnt have yet.
I had the same problem with iTunes Store, the only thing you can do is to put some money on that credit card you are using with you account. iTunes Store already keeping some money for the last purchase you made you can see all info on the Account option and then Purchase history ...

I want to gift a couple songs to my boyfriend, but when i try to gift the songs it asks for my credit card information. i have over $100 in itunes store credit from gift cards. i want to use that money to purchase the songs i will be gifting. why won't itunes allow that? i looked up tutorials and gifting should be easy and all you submit is the other person's email but thats not happening for me.

Why won't Apple let me set duckduckgo as my default search engine for safari?

I am using a iPad Mini and Safari only lists three options for a default search engine (google, bing, yahoo), all of which lack privacy. I would like to set my default to duckduckgo and would prefer not to modify my iPad illegally or use secondary apps (duckduckgo app). Why won't Apple just let me modify my default search engine manually? I quite enjoy Safari and don't like wasting space with other browsers on my iPad.

No browser can insure privacy.
The options Google, Bing, and Yahoo. Period.

Why won't iMovie let me use backgrounds on titles or let me type in anything on certain titles?

I was working on imovie and creating a video for a school project. But when I dragged a title down I couldn't type a message in it and I couldn't change the background to a different color to make it look interesting. So the title was a black with no words. Please help! I'm desperate and I need to get this project finished soon. Thanks for any help or advice!

If you are using the new iMovie 10 (iMovie 2013), drag a different coloured background from the Maps and Backgrounds panel directly onto the existing background clip, then select Replace from the pop-up menu.
As GeeD mentioned, most (if not all) of the newer titles can't be modified unfortunately. But you should be able to change the background colour, as I suggested.

Why won't Motion let me close project?

Hey,
I'm currently running Motion 4 on my iMac (Mac OS X 10.7.2). Whenever I open the software, a bunch of old projects pop up with media missing (since I used external hard drives). Motion won't let me close these projects, or quit the application (I have to do force quit). I also cannot create new projects.
Whenever I try to do anything, I just get a blip noise telling me I can't (including changes to the open project).
When I first open Motion there is a pop up telling me a picture is missing (from one of the past projects). It does let me close this pop up.
Final Cut Pro seems to run fine.
I tried re-installing all of Final Cut Studio, and nothing changed.
I also went ahead and repaired permission in disk utilities (thanks Russ H!).
Any help would be much appreciate!!

Check the individual project files and see if they're locked. Select them in the finder and hit command-i. There's a checkbox at the bottom of the general section that allows you to "lock" the file. You might also try and delete or move this files offline before launching Motion.
Can you do a save as for each project? That might work. Are you opening files over a network? Probably not the best way to work.
Did you use preference manager? And delete the preferences for the appropriate version of motion? That should clear the recent projects I would think. Confirm this and I"ll forward the problem on to the software author and see if I'm right about this or not.
Try creating a new account (system preferences: accounts) and see if motion will open properly in that. If so, it's probably a preference problem.
Do you have any system utilities or hacks loaded on your system?
And is it possible that Lion has some option to open the last documents open in an app? I know they've implemented some of this crap in Mountain Lion. I'm still on Snow Leopard, so I have no experience with it. Might check if that's the case and find out how to work around it.

Why won't it let me download apps?

I just got my iphone 5s last night, and I proceeded to download all the apps I wanted until I came across one that said I needed to update, so I updated my phone and in the morning I downloaded that app and one more, after which when I tried to download an app it would ask me to type in my password and I did, and it looks like it goes through just fine but then nothing happens, and I don't have the app. I thought that was maybe just an incompatibility with my phone, as they were relatively older apps, and I thought nothing of it. I later on tried to download Spotify, and it did the same thing, so I knew something was wrong. I looked on these forums, and found some that said to log out of your account then log back in at Settings->iTunes & App Store. So I did this, and as I tried to log back in it again looked like it was loading and then just didn't do anything at all. Now I am very concerned as this is legitimately a day old iPhone, and it already won't let me download any apps. Any help at all would be extremely appreciated! Thanks!

That's just how it is.
Do you already have an Apple ID? If not, you can make one without a credit card.
You'll need to be signed out of anything Apple and you'll need an e-mail you've never used with them. THen try to download a free app, when there's the prompt to sign in or make an apple ID, choose to make one, follow the prompts and you should see the 'none' option to make the ID without a credit card.

Why won't iTunes let me import this album from my music folder?

For some reason, iTunes won't let me import Radiohead In Rainbows from my music folder. The songs are mp3 files. I've imported thousands of songs and haven't had a problem. I've tried dragging it in and importing from the file menu.
The one thing I notice is that MP3 is capitalized in the file names, but I don't know if that has anything to do with. The music plays fine in Windows Media Player, but I want to put it in itunes so I can put it on my iPod.

I appreciate the reply. How do you check permissions (what is permissions)? This is very strange since it worked flawlessly in my itunes libraray before recently as well as my ipod and all of a sudden it wouldn't play in my library so I deleted the tracks from the library and tried to re-add them but it doesn't load them now and doesn't give me any kind of error message.
These are official MP3 tracks that I downloaded from the official Radiohead website and they play fine on my Ipod, Windows Media Player, and Quicktime. Just not Itunes itself.

The reset link will only show if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account. If you don't have one (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

Why won't BT let me have BT Vision - 3 failed orde...

I have placed 1 online order for BT Vision and 2 on the phone orders. All have been cancelled (in succession - I didn't place all at the same time!).
Apparently I live in a "red" freeview area and they won't sell me it. Even though I get every single Freeview channel in my house and am willing just to have the On Demand service if necessary. The website accepts the order and let's me agree to just have On Demand. Then they bin my order.
The website says "If you don't have access to Freeview, you can still get all of BT Vision's great on demand entertainment." But this isn't true - they won't do it if you can't get Freeview.
I've sent over 3.5 hours on the phone to BT about this. This is crazy! Plus I left my old ISP (who had a better broadband offer) for BT Total Broadband purely because of BT Vision.
Can anyone from BT help me please? This is an absurd situation. They are refusing money even when I am willing to agree to not receiving Freeview. Aaargh!

There is a way round this write to the forum moderators. They ought to be able to get this processed for you. BTVS intervened in this several times on the old forums. I am syre our new MODS can give you the same service.
