Why not do as it says and find out?

Why won't itunes let me download the songs I've purchased?
About a week or two ago I pre-ordered the new A7x album (which came out today) and it says all the songs are purchesed but it wont let me download them. What do I do?

Downloading a pre-ordered item
When a pre-order item becomes available, you will receive an email letting you know your pre-order is available for download.
If you've enabled iTunes to automatically download prepurchased content, then your pre-order content may already be downloaded to your library. If not, simply click the download link provided within your email notification, and your pre-order content will begin to download. Alternatively you can use the "Check for Available Downloads" feature in iTunes on your computer by choosing Store > Check for Available Downloads to begin downloading your pre-order.

Why won't iTunes let me download or play my matched and uploaded music?
According to iTunes, I have 5,009 songs now available in iCloud. Most of these were either matched or uploaded. They are not stored locally on my PC, as I use an external hard drive for that, and it's not hooked up right now. I want to listen to some of my music on the PC.
When I open iTunes, the iCloud status reflects that songs are matched or uploaded, but there is no download icon next to them -- the only songs with that icon are ones that I originally purchased from iTunes. And there are also many songs that were purchased from iTunes that also don't have a download icon next to them. Everything has an exclamation point next to it, reflecting that my external hard drive isn't connected. And if I double-click any of the songs that don't have a download icon (most of them), I get the standard message that iTunes can't locate the song.
I've tried turning Match off and on multiple times, and also updating Match. Tried exiting iTunes and reopening. Nothing helps. In fact, every time I turn Match back on, it asks me if I want to add this computer to iCloud -- as if I haven't added it 10 times already.
Match has been working fine on my iPod.
Here's what I'm seeing, just to illustrate -- you can see that there is a download icon next to the songs in one album, which was purchased, but nothing netx to the otehrs, which are all matched or uploaded:
I'm going nuts. Can anyone help me figure out what's going on or what I'm doing wrong?I agree with Michael. What's happening is because you broke the link to your external drive. As far as Match is concerned, you still have all of those songs available to you locally.
If you've never created a new library in iTunes, it's easy and painless. Switching back to your main library after you hook back up your external drive is easy too. On a Mac you just hold down the option key when launching iTunes to get the prompt to either create a new library or to link to one you already have - simple as that.
For what it's worth, I set up a second library after enabling iTunes Match. All I put in it is new music I want added to the cloud. It saves me a lot of time and if I really want a copy of the songs locally in my main library, they still show up via Match as downloads, so I can grab them anytime. -
I updated my iPad on the computer it updated to 5.1.1 iOS now when I try to download any app it says I need iOS 6 all the apps worked before the update what do I do please?

My iPhone 4s didn't do it until the latest update so imnpretty sure it's on the apple server some sort of bug maybe? Not sure. But whatever it is I really would like to download apps. It won't let me download any apps and my phone is brand new.
Sorry guysy iPhone says unable to download application at this time and I try all day and it still won't let me download no matter how hard I try.

please slove the problem of error 1009 ...Apple has no App Store in Iran. The US Government has severe restrictions on US companies doing business in Iran, and there may well be other issues such as lack of available infrastructure, issues with Iranian law, or other problems that would also prevent Apple from doing business there.
Unless and until Apple is able to open an App Store in your country there's nothing you can do, and quite frankly I think that's not likely to happen anytime in the foreseeable future.

I just recently purchased 3 songs from itunes not knowing that I had no money on my debit card (visa) left. My iphone wont let me update my apps and says that there was a billing problem with my last purchase. I dont know what I am supposed to do! I dont understand why it worked in the first place when it wasn't supposed to!
There seems to be a billing problem with the iTS. I've been trying to make purchases today (Dec 9th) too and it reports either the iTS can not process payments or it says my card was declined. I even changed the payment method to Paypal (which is never declined) and still no go.
I don't think it is "you" but a problem at Apple. Some popular new apps were released recently like Logic Pro and perhaps they're getting bombarded as they did when Lion was released.

I have a problem with download a new app. While I bought iphone5, I take iphone to shopkeeper for download some app and videos that he used his Apple ID . That's t problem now.. Not all the time his ID is appearing but some times his Apple ID is appearing that time I can't download app, videos, songs.. So please guide me to remove that ID or how to solve that..

BabuCheck Settings/iTunes and AppStore/AppleID and make sure that your AppleID is filled in. If not , sign out and sign in with the correct info.
To make sure that no other apps or videos are on your device than the one you bought, set it up as new device, explained here: How to back up your data and set up as a new device
Content that is not bought with your ID can't be used on your phone, that's why his ID and password is asked when you try to use those apps downloaded in the store. -
My grandad has a 1st edition iPad and when he tries to download certain apps it says he needs at least iOS 5? Shouldn't this be updated automatically? Or can this be updated another way? I haven't been to see his iPad so he may not be looking properly??? Any helpers???
The iOS version is not updated automatically, though if he connects it to his computer's iTunes (if it's a recent enough version) he should be prompted as to whether he wants to update.
He should connect the iPad to his computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the iPad to his computer via File > Transfer Purchases. He may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. He can then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'.
He can then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button

His iPad should update to iOS 5.1.1 (which is the only version that is 'signed' by Apple for the iPad 1, it doesn't support iOS 6). -
