What are you talking about? Are you talking about game apps? Are you sure that they are downloading to the iPad? Did you look on other screens or do a search for them?

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

I have it set up, in "Tools", "Options", etc., for my windows and tabs to reopen & be restored to the webpages that they were previously at before I, for one reason or another, restarted my computer! But, after I restart my computer and the Firefox browser, it always goes to my homepage; the windows & tabs NEVER restart as they should!
It wasn't always like this. It has only been within the last few weeks that this has become a constant and consistent problem. I assume that a Firefox update somehow disabled something & that's why it isn't working properly but, whatever...

Have you checked to make sure that under>> Options >> General >> That the startup behavior is appropriately? I had the same problem after upgrading and setting my homepage. It should be set to "show my windows and tabs from last time".

When I buy and download high resolution music files (FLAC and DSD), I convert them to AIFF files and add them to my iTunes music library. Specifically, I have been converting DSD64 files to 176.4/24 AIFF files. These AIFF files (modified in some respects by iTunes) have been synched to my old iPhone 5 and new iPhone 6. Until December, every 176.4/24 AIFF file played as expected. In December, I purchased two DSD64 albums, which I converted to 176.4/24 AIFF files using AudirvanaPlus 1.5. These 176.4/24 AIFF files will not play on either iPhone. When I converted those DSD64 albums to 88.2/24 AIFF files, they played on both iPhones. In December, I also purchased several 192/24 FLAC albums and converted them to 192/24 AIFF files using Amarra HiFi. These 192/24 AIFF files play properly on both iPhones.

I have a similar problem and have spent three sequential days at the Apple Genius Bar before we were able to exclude most other possibilities and found that certain files (in my case all mp3s from CDs I own) that play just fine in iTunes 11.0.1 and that used to play in iOS 6.0.1 do not play in iOS 6.1. We restored the phone to factory settings and synced only a few of the music files that were problematic. They still did not play. We reproduced the problem on my iPad mini (iOS6.1).
Apple Telephone Support suggestion was to convert all mp3 files in iTunes to AAC (which according to Apple Website may degrade sound quality). No further suggestions or escalation but a recommendation to place comments on www.apple.com/feedback and, if there are enough complaints, someone at Apple might take an interest in this problem. Something has changed in iOS 6.1 where files that played on prior mobile system software no longer work.
Apple, please pay attention to this glitch with iOS 6.1.

You Sync the Music you want on the Phone via iTunes on your computer.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Your Apple TV may have become paired with another remote. Hold the remote close to and pointed at the Apple TV, hold down the menu and Rewind buttons together for 6 seconds or until you see a broken chain icon on screen.

I am running Lion (OS X 10.7.4) and trying to reinstall iLife06, a .mpkg file, using Installer.app. I get a message "You can't open the application iLife06.mpkg because PowerPC apps are no longer supported." Is there a work around?? Thanks in advance!

The only workaround would be to purchase the current version of iLife apps from the App Store.
Lion doesn't support the old PowerPC architecture anymore, which is what iLife '06 was written for.
If the internal apps are universal, right-click on the mpkg and choose Show Contents. Then, dig through and run the specific installer package for each application.

Why won't my podcasts load to my ipod

I reset my ipod a week ago and now the podcasts won't load. The podcasts are visible in the iTunes software and when I press sync it looks like there are loats more things going to be loaded, but then the graphice at the bottom of the iTunes page goes back down again and won't load the stuff. The items are all ticked in the iTunes dialogue, so i don't understand why they won't load. I tried iCloud but went back to the pc loading as well but can't see how that can make any difference.

You can only sync apps from the one syncing computer you can have.
Did you setup the iPod via wifi?
Have you tried restoring from backup on this computer/iTunes library?
The app assume the apps are compatible with your iPod

Why won't my fonts load?

I recently bought a MacBook Pro running OS 10.7.5 Lion, and fonts that I purchased in the past and used on my old PowerBook won't load using FontBook!? Take for instance, Cachet. When I do a get info on the all the files in the Cachet font folder, they don't even say what kind of font they are, e.g., TrueType, Postscript Type 1, etc. I probably purchased Postscript. And the thumbnails are blank icons too.

everythings fine with chrome an ie, but no fonticons with firefox...
found alot of solutions, but none of them worked.
then, using the webdeveloper console (i used firebug all the time before) i see the error why the webfont was not loaded:

first load after login is => everything ok!
after following an internal link => no webfonts!
after disabeling the htaccess login, everything works fine!
but that can only be a workaround!
why firefox didnt recognize the login/authorization like chrome does?!
what todo if you have your site behind htaccess and want to use webfonts?!

Why won't my macbook load Facebook?

My macbook has quit loading one specific page - my facebook page. It loads any other page I try. It just won't load facebook. How can I get my macbook to load my facebook page again?

Test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved. Back up all data before making any changes.
Sometimes the cause of the problem may be an outage in Apple's network, in which case none of the steps below will have any effect. You just have to wait for the outage to be fixed. That should rarely, if ever, take more than a few hours.
Step 1
Sign in to the App Store by selecting Sign In from the Store menu. If you're already signed in, sign out and then sign in again.
Step 2
Log out or restart the computer.
Step 3
Remove or disable "LittleSnitch" or any similar third-party software that blocks outgoing network connections according to the developer's instructions.
Step 4
Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode.)
Step 5
If possible, connect to a different network and test.
Step 6
There are reports that resetting the PRAM may solve the problem in some cases. I can't confirm.

Why won't Mountain Lion reopen my full screen apps in the same order I had them?

When I am on my MacBook Pro, I usually want my full-screen applications in the same order (i.e. iTunes on the far right, then Mail, then Safari on the far left). Whenever I shut down and later turn it back on, the apps are in a differenct order. Is there a way to make them reopen in the same way that I had them?
I had the same problem on Lion, though I am currently running Mountaion Lion.

Looks like I found the solution off in another thead:
"If you open your smart playlists and set "limit to" you can choose how you want your songs or podcasts to be sorted, including the ways they were sorted before. You should only have to fix each playlist once then forget about it."

Did this and it works how I want it to now. The order is least recently added. Serves me right for not checking just 'one more thread' on this. Not the best execution since the playlist can be sorted via the iTunes UI anyway, but at least this way it makes it onto the device.

Why won't my Playlist load onto my iPod Nano

Hi, I have been given a 1GB iPod nano as a present but being computer iliterate cannot figure out how to put music from iTunes on the iPod. I have, using CD's & some songs from iTunes Stores built a playlist of my favourite tracks. However, although my list has 95 songs on it, it will only load 22 of these onto my iPod. What am I doing wrong !! I am using iTunes 7.02 so have the most up-to-date software but don't know why I can't get the rest of my songs onto the iPod. If someone can tell me in english how to do this, I would be most grateful ! I have also tried deleting the songs from the iPod and starting again but iTunes won't allow me to delete these either! Thanks

In iTunes under the import tab, it says:
On CD Insert: Ask to import CD
Import Using: AAC Encode
Setting: High Quality (128kbs)
Details: 64 kbps (mono)/128 kbps (stereo)
underneath this, the 1st 3 boxs are ticked.
When I right-click on some of the songs in itunes here is the response:
1 of the songs that did load onto my ipod (orignally on my old MP3 player):
Size 2.2MB / Format MPEG-1 , Layer 3
1 of the songs that did load onto my ipod from a CD:
Size 3.1MB / Kind AAC Audio File
I purchased 2 songs from iTunes - neither of which went onto my iPod, Here is the info for 1 of these:
Size 3.5MB / Kind Protected AAC audio file
1 of the songs that did not load onto my ipod from a CD:
Size 4.5MB / Kind AAC audio file (I copied 3 songs from this particular album and 1 went onto my iPod but this one and another did not.)
I never had this problem with my old MP3 Player. I presume there is a way around this with iTunes ?? Otherwise, will be reverting back to my old MP3 !
