Why won't my call go through

I'm calling from Australia to the USA. The no. dials and then hangs up shortly afterwards, this doesn't happen when I try to call other USA no.s in other area codes. I'm trying to call a number with the area code 425

1. Boot into recovery
   o Press and hold Power, Choose "Restart" option
   o When screen turns off, press and hold Volume Down and Power
2. When the white HBOOT screen appears, use the volume button to move down to “RECOVERY.”
3. Press the Power button to select “RECOVERY.”
4. When the triangle and exclamation appears, hold the Volume Up and Power button at the same time.
5. Using the volume button, scroll down to “Wipe cache partition” and select it.
6. Select "Reboot system now"
If this is still not going thru, attempt an alternate master reset. http://goo.gl/MSrgE
If your phone is still not booting up after these steps, the device may need to be replaced thru warranty. Let me know if you still need assistance.

I have one number in my contact list that keeps getting the red exclamation mark every time I text it. They used to go through and now they don't. Anyone know why?

Have you verified you're using the correct number? Have you verified the contact you're trying to SMS has not blocked your number?

Why won't Skype calls ring?

. . . because the "Ring on all devices" feature has been removed. Therefore, if you use headphones, you must unplug them every time you take them off and step/look away from your computer - otherwise, you will miss calls. I don't understand the logic behind the removal of that feature. Can someone from Skype enlighten me?

Unfortunately due to changes in the Windows Audio infrastructure it is not possible any more to ring all audio devices at the same time on Windows which is why we had to remove this functionality.
You can manually re-order the order of priority for your audio devices to ring. So e.g. you could have your computers audio always ring, even if your headset is plugged in. You will find that option in the Skype options' "General - Audio Settings" section.

Why won't my iMessages go through to my friend but works with others? iMessage is activated on both phones

I can iMessage friends and they receive my messages except for one friend who has not been receiving my iMessages sent to him. If I turn off iMessages he receives my text messages. I can receive iMessages from him and reply but I can not initiate the iMessage. My iMessages are going out successfully to others. I have done a hard restart, turned iMessage off and back on, and deleted his contact info and added it back to my contacts.

Is there a not sent indicator on the message initiated by you, or is the message sent but not received?
If no problem with anyone else and the only problem is on the recipient's end, doubtful the problem is on your end.
What has the recipient done?

Why won't blog post go through?

I am a school teacher running a blog for my class via the blog feature of iWeb. Problem is an error message telling respondents that their post cannot be submitted at this time consistently appears. If I republish the page, it appears to clear up the problems for about 5 minutes but then we are back to the "new" status quo!
Is anyone else experiencing this "inconvenience" and have they found a fix? I would greatly appreciate any assistance. Thanks!

I think I solved my own problem by reading other forums! If a viewer accesses your blog using web.mac instead of the new web.me designation than bad things happen!!! Everything seems to now be strictly web.me based!

Why won't my camera work in Facebook video call?

Have a new MacBook Pro running Mavericks. When I tried to use the video call feature in Facebook, it told me I didn;t have the necessary java to execute the install. I downloaded the file suggested online (Java for OS X 2014-001: How to re-enable the Apple-provided Java SE 6 web plug-in and Web Start features) and the install went through. However, when I try to make a call it connects, I can see the other person's video and hear her/him but my camera does not activate (No green light. Person being called can hear me, but no picture appears for them). FaceTime works fine. Skype works fine. Google+ Hangout asks me to give permission to use camera, but hangs up. I also tried to make a FB video call in Safari and that did not work either (same problem).

I have the same issue. So frustrating! I think I found a fix. It's not perfect but it works to get Siri, google maps and phone calls working all at the same time which are the most important things to me. After you start the car, go to settings on uconnect. Scroll down to the bluetooth settings. There are 2 tabs here. 1 for voice and 1 for audio. I'm doing this from memory so someone call it out if I have that wrong. Each will say "connected" in red once your iphone automatically pairs to uconnect. In the audio tab, press on the name of your phone. This will disconnect only the audio portion and leave the voice portion connected. You can now use Siri through your car speakers! Calls will still work too. Google maps will also give directions.
This all works great until you turn off the car at which point the setting will be forgotten and will have to be repeated. It's important to keep in mind that if you now play music or a podcast off your iphone it will emanate from the phone's speaker, not your car speakers. This doesn't impact me as I'll usually be listening to sirius or fm radio when I'm driving anyway. Just like when you receive a call, siri will silence sirius until you're done with siri. Same with google maps.
What this tells me is if Apple or (less likely) Chrysler ever add an option to save your bluetooth device as a voice only and not a voice&audio bluetooth device that uconnect would finally be usable with siri. I guess this means we can be more specific in our requests to apple and chrysler to resolve this issue. Hope this helps!

Are you really still running Snow Leopard (10.6.8) as shown in your profile? If so, that's why. Full use of iCloud needs at least Lion 10.7.2 or Mountain Lion.
If you have upgraded to Mountain Lion and forgot to update your profile, here are some things to check:
Is it on a network?
Is it signed into iCloud? The same iCloud Account?
Are Contacts and "Calendars & Reminders" checked in the iCloud and same account's "Mail, Contacts & Calendars" panels of System Preferences?
Are you looking at the correct accounts in Calendar and Contacts?

This has been happening since I got the phone a couple of years ago.
I did not realize that my home land line and my wife's cell phone
always go straight to voice mail until my wife pointed it out to me
several months ago. Is there a setting I can adjust?
Yes, I can make calls to our home land line and to her cell phone
without being diverted to voice mail.

Why sony not providing video call support through 3g.. In samsung we can call and its supported for all phones which have front facing camera.. thats a fault... Im a very interested one in sony products.. But this... Can you bring this feature in next update??
