Why won't my charger charge my macbook pro?

I am currently on my 2nd charger and it is the "L" shape charger, It just suddenly won't charge my macbook Pro anymore. Is there something wrong with my mac or is it the charger? The first charger, i can still somewhat use it if I bend it a bit...but it's just too much of a hassle to have to hold the charger to have get my macbook pro charged. Is there something I can do other than to buy another charger?

If possible change the battery anyway. The maximum cycle is 1000 (according to Apple). From my point of view your battery still could have a problem.
Those battery health infos are provided by the chip in the battery. Maybe this chip (controls dis-/charging, counts cycles, measures capacity...) has a damage. This could defeat the charger. Probably... :-)
Or, you play often games which requires more power, than the ratter low power magsafe charger can deliver. This is quite easily possible and when this is the case, the charger and the battery deliver electrical power at the same time. The problem in this case is, that the only 85W from the charger are not enough to charge the battery. The charger can in this case be in the fridge, it still gets really hot... to hot maybe after some houres (when I play games, this happens as well).
Install iStateNano (free widget), it does proviede the health in percentage calculated with the max capacity. If it shows around 50%, you really should change the battery... or sell the mac :-)

why won't my ipone charge or turn on?
    <Edited By Host>

    Lets see, could be:
    faulty charger
    faulty cable
    faulty connector
faulty battery or other iPhone hardware
Without any details at all, it is impossible for anyone to say.  You could take it in and let an Apple Genius take a look at it to narrow it down to iPhone hardware or battery.

  • HT1386 why won't my ipad charge from my computer - my iphone does! and where has my facetime and contacts icons gone?

Why won't my ipad charge from my computer when my iphone does? also where have my facetime and contacts icons gone?

A computer USB port does not provide enough power to charge and run the iPad at the same time but it will charge it if the iPad is turned off.  It will take about four times as long to charge than with the iPad charger.
The Contacts icon may be inside a folder, such as Utilities.
There is no Facetime icon.  Start a Facetime link from a contact.

A new USB what? Cable? If the old one still works and the new one does not that would point to a bad new cable.

  • What is the right charger for a MacBook Pro 13"  mid 2009 model?

What is the right charger for a MacBook Pro 13" mid 2009 model? I have two chargers for two different Mac and don't know which is  thankswhich. I'm really looking for specific details such as voltage/watts and all the rest to idenify my charger.  A link to where to web page where I could purchase the correct charger would also be very useful. Many thanks.
All help much appreciated. THANK YOU

Both power adapter I have are different (at the magnet end) from the one in link.
Earlier adapters have T shaped connectors, which Apple later changed to the L shape, presumably to make them more abuse-proof. Either one is fine and the one you are using will not damage your Mac.
Retina MBPs and new MBAs use a completely different MagSafe 2 connector which will not fit (without an adapter).

  • I tried to update the software of my iphone 3gs while charging with my Macbook Pro. While the phone was restarting after installation, in the setting up my phone menu, it stops midway with a message in itunes on the laptop that there is no simcard.

I tried to update the software of my iphone 3gs while charging with my Macbook Pro. While the phone was restarting after installation, in the setting up my phone menu, it stops midway with a message in itunes on the laptop that there is no simcard.

Then put a SIM in. You cannot activate an iPhone without a compatible Sim.
If your iPhone was hacked/jailbroken the update restore the lock.

  • Car charging (12V) to Macbook Pro Magsafe 2

There seems to be numerous discussions (all of them old) about the best way to charge a new Macbook pro (2013 onwards) with magsafe 2 (T connector) in a car. However I cant seem to find the definitive answer or an up to date one.
Have a client that needs to supply all sales reps with compatible car chargers to their Macbook Pro using the cigarette lighter (12V)
Seems many of them on the market cant cope with the draw of the 85W that the power supply needs.
I have seen a few available like this one

    or this one

The first one looks the best but I was wondering if anyone has experience of these or a better way to do this . There is talk of noisy 150W invertors etc but I am looking for a good solution.

If the MBPs are still under warranty and/or have AppleCare, call them.  The reps there should be able to advise you.
Or call Apple Customer Relations - 1-800-275-2273 (Sorry I do not know the UK number).  Ask politely & firmly that you want to be transferred to Customer Relations.  Tell them exactly what you stated in your post.

  • HT204347 Do you connect the charger in the MacBook Pro battery damage if using device ?

Do you connect the charger in the MacBook Pro battery damage if using device ?
i am sorry i not good speak english

Provided you are using the correct charger for your Mac (13" have a 65 watt charger, 15" and 17", an 85 watt charger), it has enough capacity to power the computer for normal tasks, and the leftover power can charge the battery at the same time. If you are doing something very intensive, there may not be leftover power, but the Mac will take power from the battery if needed. Once the battery is fully charged, the pilot light in the charger plug will change from orange to green and no further charge will be applied to the battery.
You can use your Mac plugged to the charger with no damage to the battery or the computer.

  • Does a usb cab to 60 Watt L-Tip Power Adapter charger for Apple MacBook Pro Laptop Charger exist

    does a usb cable
does a Usb cable to60 Watt L-Tip Power Adapter charger for Apple MacBook Pro Laptop Charger exist? i have an external battery pack i would like to use to charge my iphone and macbook pro.

Not that I am aware of.  An Internet search on your part will be required.  If you should find something to that effect, note it will not be endorsed by Apple and the magnetic connector will probably be in violation of Apple patents.
    Ciao.

  • When I plugged in my portable charger to my MacBook Pro, it shut off and now I can't turn it back on. What do I do?

I was launching my sims game when I plugged in my portable charger in my MacBook Pro. As soon as I plugged it in, I heard a tiny poof and next thing I know the screen turned black. I held down the power button like I normally would and it wouldn't work. when I plug in the charger, there is a faint green light. Please help anybody. Thank you for your time.

Something broke I'm afraid. Take it (and the charger) to an Apple Store, leave it unplugged.
