Why won't my computer download the newest iTunes?
I run my iTunes and music from an external yard drive and in order to update to iOS 5 I need to update to iTunes 10.5 but. After waiting for it t finish downloading several times, it says "an error has occurred" and it won't install!
Please help!!
I did the download only option and tries to install but it only says " invalid drive d"
From what I've seen, the errors are not the exact one's generated by iTunes. Try searching for the exact errors in the forums, or google and I'm certain you'll find a resolution.
Sorry I cannot be more helpful, but I've never experienced, this. I have seen others reporting it so I know other postings exist about it.

I just downloaded the newest itunes software on my Acer Lap top, and also did a software update IOS 6.0.1 on my ipod thats 4th generation. Everytime I try to hook my ipod to the computer it doesnt work and I'm not sure why. Help!!

Call Apple and order a Snow Leopard DVD. Once you have installed it, use the combo updater to update to 10.6.8 and then install iTunes 10.7

i have been trying to download the newest itunes to my windows 7 computer wit the last 2 wks now... im at the stage where iv tried everting from uninstalling itunes to installing it again... can someone please help before i throw the computer out the window!
Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc. -

You can copy iTunes purchased songs over to your computer's iTunes library via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, or have you tried going to the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes and seeing if you can redownload them on your computer ?

Try updating your iTunes using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) downloaded from the Apple website:

Hi cindyhildy, follow these instructions below it has fixed my issue and should work for you.
Open app store, get the message "unable to connect to iTunes store", go to settings, change year to the last year it will let you (think I went to 2038), double tap home button and close app store, go to home screen and then open app store and touch updates panel, should get a message "cannot get secure connection to server or something like that" go back to settings and reset the year to current. -

Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu and check the processor.

Mac OS X 10.7 and newer don't support PowerPC software such as Microsoft Office 2004. If you upgrade the OS, back up the computer first.
