Why won't my computers talk to each other?

I have the following in my home:
Intel iMac (10.6.4)
MacBook (10.5)
2 ea Mac Minis (10.6.4)
Time Capsule
My iMac can see and connect to the MacBook and one of the Mac Minis.
The MacBook can see and connect to the iMac and one of the Mac Minis.
The Mac Mini that can be seen/connected to the iMac and MB can see/connect to them.
That one darn Mac Mini can see all these other computers, but when I try to connect, it times out and tells me connection failed. This hasn't been a problem to date, 'cause we just email and use a flash drive to move files.
HOWEVER, I just had to replace my printer, and got one with wireless capability. All my computers can successfully print over the network, except that darn Mac Mini. I can see both a Bonjour and IP version of the printer and can successfully add it, but when I try to print, I get a "printer busy" message (when using the Bonjour version) or a timeout (when using the IP version).
I believe these two problems are connected (ie, THE SAME THING) but I don't have a clue what to do about it. Does anyone have any ideas?

Based on the below info from you. I just created a topology for routers, if the below is same as your's.
I also have 3 routers:

the final (this is connected to the other 2 routers and also server)

How can Router1 and Router0 communicate if their corresponding serial ports are configured to be in different subnets ?
And also same with Router0 and Router2.
Configure them to be on the same subnets.
And ensure that you've enabled trunking on the ports of the switches that are connected to the routers (I mean to configure Router on a stick for inter vlan routing).

Welcome to the Apple community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

NetWeaver XI components are not talking to each other

I am an XI consultant, i dont have proper Basis support at my client, since they are fond of only ABAP stack.
They installed netweaver xi from the market place.
I am unable to import any SWCV (even SAP BASIS) from SLD to IR and IR menu is blank.
Unable to find list of adapters in Integration Directory.
RWB -component monitoring is blank .
SLD- creation of products,SWCV,Technical Sys,Buss Sys is possible.
In conclusion i can say that they all are not co-operative and not talking to each other
And also i want to know wheather xi 7.0 is compatable to databases Oracle 8.0.3 and Oracle 8.0.4

Does the XI post Installation steps done by the team or not? It seems that there is some steps missing while doing the XI installation. Talk to to the BASIS team and tryu to find out the solution.

In my view, yes. XI is compatible with all the versions of Oracle Database above version 8 but never tried it.

I'm not sure if this answers your question. I will update them in iTunes. Then I will connect my phone and in the phone controls I can click the "Update" button and it will change to "Will Update" but doesn't.
That's part of the problem. Once upon a time, iTunes would just automatically update apps from the computer to the phone and now it apparently requires prompting that doesn't work.

HT5621 My Apple ID on my iphone icloud is different to my apple id on my pc icloud. As a result, they don't talk to each other. My phone icloud account is for 25 Gigs. but my pc has 5 Gigs but none used.

My iPhone iCloud uses one of my Apple ID and the account is a 25 Gig storage. I tried to set up icloud on my pc and for some reason it seems to be linked to a different Apple id with a 5 Gig account. Obviously the two don't talk to each other but I don't know how to change one or other so they will sync.

Try the following....
Go to Settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account. Then log in using a different ID.

I think what the forum software has to offer is neither rocket science, nor anything new or generally unknown. The vendor or OTN should have enough experience and at least tested the forum software to make sure it functions as advertised. Unfortunately however it seems that the OTN staff is either not very good at testing the product or they just leave it up to the community to find out. Some of the previous issues are so obvious that I would rather suspect the later.
I would not want to spoil anyone's fun, but I would be reluctant to enable private messaging because I think community members should exchange questions and answers in public and not through private channels. If anybody wants to send me a private message, for instance, my email address is visible in the bio field of my user profile. This way at least I can respond at my convenience, outside of Oracle's jurisdiction, or simply bounce an email if I feel like it.
And btw, I'm somewhat concerned about current privacy settings. What business is it of anyone else to see my bookmarks and the content I'm following?

Can't get 2 VM nodes to talk to each other on OEL7

I am planning to install RAC 11gR2 on OEL7. I got the Oracle VM machines up and running. I can access internet successfully with no issues. Also if I am on Node-1 and ping its IP, it works fine.
But when I try to ping Node-2 from Node-1 and vice virsa, I get unreachable message.
Below is my setup hots setup:

2. VIPs should be on the same NICs as physical IPs.
3. Probably I missed something but I found nothing concerning 3 NICs.
4. OL7 is supported starting from 11.2.0.4.
5. It is possible to configure firewall instead of disabling it.
6. It is necessary to configure OS, create user(s) and groups according to Installation Guide or use validator rpm.
7. It is possible to configure disks with udev and not to use oracleasm.

Cant get 2 iPads to talk to each other with FaceTime.

I have ipad2 , recently bought 10 yr old one too. His iPad is registered to my apple I'd, I think he is too young to have own ID. I have set up his iPad with a gmail address for FaceTime and I have another address for FaceTime on my iPad, so we can talk together over the summer when he is going to stay with family overseas. Both email addresses are linked to my ID. I've tried every which way I can but can't get FaceTime to work. He is on my contact list, I am on his, but each time one of the iPads places a call we get call failed. We have wi-fi, so that is not the problem. All email addresses are verified, and the email address for video calls is different on each iPad. Any one got any idea why it won't work? I so want it to work and not have to resort to skype!

Did you remove the Apple ID email address from one of the devices? Perhaps the devices are trying to reach each other at that same email address. Even if you associate another email address to the one device, you still have to remove the Apple ID address from that device or it will use that address as the one at which it can be reached for FaceTime.

Photoshop 13 why are my imported photos next to each other with no space between them as in other version

I just got the new photoshop 13. I started to import photos and each picture buts up to each other. there is no info under it and when I edit it there is no expand button next to the picture to expand the version set. How do I change this?

Hi I have 2 pc wired to wrt54g and one laptop set as wireless.
I have no problem to get to internet.
But how I can setup them to see each other.
Do I need a hub or it can be done just with router.
Please let me know how this can be done.

You should lower down the security settings on the Zone Alarm.
Make sure the File and Printer Sharing which is one of the features created by Microsoft should be configured properly on 3 computers.

TS4268 I'm trying to text my daughter through iMessage, which has always worked. But now it's not working. I can iMessage other people and so can she. We just can't talk to each other anymore.

My daughter and I can't iMessage each other, which has never been a issue until today. We both can send and receive iMessage from other people just not each other. We have both deleted each other contact info and re-entered it. Turned iMessage off and on. Still can't message each other.

It is no wonder she is not receiving your messages if she has iMessage turned off in her iPad.
For her to receive iMessages on the iPad, she needs to turn iMessage ON in her iPad and then she needs to be connected to the internet in order to receive them. This connection can go through WiFi or through cellular data if her iPad has this functionality, but those two requirements are a must.

HP Envy 120 printer and Macbook Pro won't talk to each other...

I have a shiny new printer and a fairly new Macbook Pro and simply cannot get my printer to 'talk' to my Mac.
The printer is connected to our home internet and the Internet report you can print off says everything is fine.
We have done the Apple > Software update etc to make sure the latest drivers etc are installed. (For info, we are on OS X 10.8.5). However, when we then try to print something, it comes up as no printer installed and there is no 'nearby printer' showing, which I believe should be showing there. (We have tried adding manually, too, using various settings and can't do it that way, either.)
When this didn't work, we downloaded the relevant driver from the HP site (to see if this would help, but it didn't).
After downloading the driver, we go through the installation process and what happens is that it doesn't have our printer listed and asks that we connect our printer. When we connect it, it recognises it and we then proceed. It then says your printer is now connected and you may remove your device. When we remove it, it then does not have any device listed and we cannot progress any further. Stuck in an infinite loop...
Also, firewall and security settings are fine.
I've also restored default settings on printer etc and started over a number of times.
Any help would really be appreciated.

Making classes talk to each other, getting my head around object-oriented

How many questions can I ask before people get annoyed? Hope I'm not asking too many. This is probably a dumb question, but trying to do this whole object-oriented thing is making my head spin. I want my program to make something happen in Panel 2 when there's a mouse event in Panel 1 and vice versa. In psuedo-code (very pseudo):

public void mouseEntered(MouseEvent event) {
Make stuff happen in panel2
I don't even know where to start. I've looked at the tutorials,I've looked in my books, but I still as confused as ever. Could someone please give me a hint as to how I make this happen?

What is annoying is when people cross post the same question. Or when people ask 37 obviously exam type questions in the span of 5 minutes. But as you're not doing either of those don't worry about it.

1) When posting code on this forum please make sure and use the code formatting tags. You can do this by selected the code in the posting message box and clicking the CODE button.
2) I would stay well clear of Swing for awhile. It (and GUI in general for that matter) is not the easiest way to learn OO ness. In fact, in my opinion, it's about the hardest. I don't know where you are with your learning and what you know and don't know though so this may be out of place. If not though I would recommend one to play around with interfaces and abstract classes for awhile. I think once one understands the point of an abstract class one is well on the way to a solid foundation of Java OOness.
3) This will contradict point 2 but for Swing you should learn about the MVC pattern. Here are a couple of links on the subject http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Model-view-controller and http://java.sun.com/blueprints/patterns/MVC.html
MVC is important because it explains the how-to and why of what one should do with OOness when it comes to GUI.
4) Don't be afraid to get it wrong. The best way to learn this stuff is by practice. Do it in a way you understand and that makes it work. Then go back and think how you could do it better. Think about how you could encapsulate your classes. Think about how you can seperate the logic of your application from the GUI.

Apple id is Corrupted. How do I get all my devices talking to each other again? Resetting the password has corrupted all device access to iCloud, mail,Ap Store and more.

I have to say that I have had problem after problem with my suite of Apple computers and mobile devices. When I search for solutions I find masses of users with the same problems. Not one of the obvious problems is answered with workable fixes.

Instead of bashing Apple, you could ask politely for help fixing it. Also, google is your friend as well as Apple Support Communities.
