Hi there palmer89,
You may find the troubleshooting steps in the article below helpful.
iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Contacts
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3998
General troubleshooting
Check the System Status page to make sure there aren't any issues affecting Contacts.
Check your settings and preferences, because something may not be set up correctly. For example, having incorrect date and time settings can cause issues that are easily resolved by entering the appropriate settings.
Troubleshooting iCloud Contacts in Contacts on OS X Mountain Lion or later (or Address Book on OS X Lion)
First, confirm that you've turned on iCloud Contacts by choosing System Preferences from the Apple () menu and clicking iCloud. Check that Contacts is selected.
If you are having trouble using iCloud Contacts with either Contacts or Address Book on a Mac, try each of these steps, testing after each to see if the issue is resolved.
Make sure you are running OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later. Learn how to verify the version of OS X you are using.
Make sure your computer is online by attempting to view www.apple.com. If you can't connect to the Internet, your iCloud Contacts will not update in Contacts or Address Book. Learn about troubleshooting your Internet connection.
Open a secure website to test if ports 80 and 443 are accessible. Safari requires port 443 access to iCloud to push and fetch updates to and from the iCloud Contacts servers.
Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu, then click iCloud and make sure that you are signed in to the same iCloud account that you are using on your other supported devices.
If recent changes don't appear, try to refresh Contacts or Address Book by quitting and reopening the application.
Make sure your account was successfully created in Contacts or Address Book on your Mac. After setting up iCloud Contacts, you may need to quit and reopen Contacts or Address Book on your Mac. To confirm your account is configured correctly in Contacts or Address Book:
Open Contacts or Address Book.
Select Preferences from the Contacts menu (Address Book on OS X Lion).
Click Accounts. You should see an iCloud account with your iCloud account name entered in the Apple ID field.
Turn iCloud Contacts off and back on.
Quit Contacts (or Address Book on OS X Lion).
Open System Preferences, and choose iCloud.
Deselect the checkbox next to Contacts. Click Keep Contacts.
Close System Preferences, and wait about a minute.
Open System Preferences, and choose iCloud.
Reselect the checkbox next to Contacts.
Close System Preferences.
Open Contacts (or Address Book) and test to see if the issue has been resolved.
Restart your computer. This may sound simple, but it does reinitialize your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.

    why won't my emails update between my devices?

    That's not the issue though.  I have all that already set up.  It's just for my hotmail account.  I have another account that works fine.  It's just annoying to have to see all the same stupid emails on every single device, and then in my hotmail account as well.  Aren't they supposed to be syncing with one another?

    Looks like you have a 3G not a 3Gs...
    Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and “ Check for Updates “...
    If an Update Appears Install it... if not... you are up to date for your particular Device...
    iPhone 3G can only go to iOS 4.2.1

    Why won't my apps update on my ipad? I have 7 updates waiting to go and when I click on them they all say they are installing but they have never completed their installation?  Please help

    Try resetting ...
    Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.
    You won't lose any data as a result of a reset.

  • Why won't my apps update now that I have updated to iOS 7? The are stuck in "waiting." And how do I fix it?

    I updated to the iOS 7 and now several apps, iBooks included, won't finish the update. I can't delete and re-download because they are stuck in "waiting." Also, I can't seem to reload apps sent to cloud back to my phone.
    Storage isn't the issue because I have checked that. Or at least in the surface it doesn't appear to be. Any other trouble shooting ideas are appreciated.

    I found that what worked to correct this issue on my iPhone 4S was to turn off automatic app updates. I went to Settings - iTunes & App Store - and under Automatic Downloads, switched Updates to off. My apps that were stuck in 'Waiting' immediately began downloading.
    Although I would like to be able to use the automatic update feature, at least I found a fix to the 'waiting' issue for now.

  • Why won't Creative Cloud update past 43%? It gives error code 1. Contact Customer Support. Good Luck!

    I have a fully paid Creative Cloud membership. but when I click on Creative Cloud it says an update is available. When I click to get the update it starts, then stops at 43% and I get Error Code 1. Contact Customer Support and when I click on that I am sent in an unending circle with never any option to get chat, or phone support!! There is apparently no way to reach real support or to get Creative Cloud to update normally. What a terrible lack of customer service!

  • Why won't my contact book open?

    I need help to get my contacts or address book open so that I can edit some information.  I don't know why it won't open.  Each time I click on the contacts app I get a problem report.  I'm copying paste (not the whole report) the information that states the error.  I don't understand and I can't figure where to search for troubleshooting.

  • Why won't the latest update Jan 14 install on my PC?

    I have been using itunes for years and have never had any problems with it. I was advised by itunes today that a new update was available which I routinely tried to install. However the update failed with the message "Runtime Error" Program:C:\Program Files (x86) iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe R6034 An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Please contact the application's support team for more information. Unfortunately I have no idea what this means. I tried uninstalling Itunes and downloading it again from the apple website. It seemed to download OK! but when I tried to open it I received the same message as before.I am now stuck with hundreds of songs, TV & movies purchased from apple with no means of playing them on my PC. Any assistance would be appreciated. I am running Windows 7 and have an i5 processor and a 1gb Nvidia graphics card installed. Is it my PC or an issue with the latest version of itunes?

    Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
    Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
    Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
    The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
    Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • Why won't my computer update ilife '11?

    I have iLife '11, and it won't update.
    in the past i had a similar problem with iWork, and i found the solution. I had moved iWork from its default folder and the updater couldn't find the apps.
    so i think i did the same thing here.
    after i put iwork back into a folder similarly named as the original root folder it was in, it updated just fine.
    so what i need is someone to ever so kindly help me by telling me how the iLife apps should be placed in the folders in the application folders so the updater can find them you'd think it would just need to be in a folder labeled "iLife '11" but that obviously isn't working.
    anyone with tips would be greatly appreciated, or if you could tell me how i should place and name my ilife apps in these folders, that would help loads too.
    hoping i can solve this. its so annoying having lion on my macbook pro and not having all the updates :-(
    -chris

    Hey Chris,
    All Apple Applications should be installed in Macintosh HD > Applications.
    When you got your computer from Apple the following iLife programs were sitting in that location (no additional folders):
    iPhoto.app
    iMovie.app
    iDVD.app
    Garageband.app
    iWeb.app
    --NOTE: I add the ".app" extension to differentiate from other files that might show up on the computer if you were to search for "iphoto".  .app is the application which is what must be in Macintosh HD > Applications.
    Check in that folder and ensure those programs are sitting in there.  If not, search the computer for them and drag them back.
    If you still can't download your updates you may want to download them manually by program from http://support.apple.com/downloads/#macosandsoftware.
    Hope that helps.

    Might want to have a look at this form below. It's similar to yours but no styling - you'd need to use some css to style it up a bit. It's just the raw html/php coding. The form action="form_send.php" - basically save the code to a Dreamweaver document named form_send.php and send the information back to the page to be processed.
    <?php
    $number_1 = rand(1, 9);
    $number_2 = rand(1, 9);
    $answer = md5($number_1+$number_2);
    if(isset($_POST['submit'])) {
    // get the name from the form 'name' field
    $name = trim($_POST['name']);
    if (empty($name)) {
    $error['name'] = "<span>Please provide your name</span>";
    // get the email from the form 'email' field
    $email = trim($_POST['email']);
    if (!filter_var($email, FILTER_VALIDATE_EMAIL)) {
    $error['email'] = "<span>Please provide a valid email address</span>";
    // get the comments from the form 'comments' field
    $comments = trim($_POST['comments']);
    if (empty($comments)) {
    $error['comments'] = "<span>Please provide your comments</span>";
    // security against spam
    $user_answer = trim(htmlspecialchars($_POST['user_answer']));
    $answer = trim(htmlspecialchars($_POST['answer']));
    if (md5($user_answer) != $answer) {
        $error['answer'] = "<span>Wrong answer - please try again</span>";
    // if no errors send the form
    if (!isset($error) && md5($user_answer) == $answer) {
    $to = '[email protected]'; // send to recipient
    $from = '[email protected]'; // from your domain

  • Why won't my apps update?

    I don't have wi-fi, but I thought that connecting to a computer via a usb cord, I'd still be able to get my apps to function and/or update, but they don't. I can't figure out what the difference between a wi-fi connection and a direct connection is that won't allow the transfer of information. Can anyone explain this to me?

    You can get updates to Apps via iTunes on your computer. Start iTunes and click on "Apps" In the "Library" section on the left panel of the screen. There will be a notification of "Updates Available" at the bottom right of the screen. If you click on this you will see which App updates are available and select which to download. When you next connect your iPod these updates will be transferred to it.
