Why won't my flash player work? downloads but does not install! internet explorer 9

I need the flash player to do my college statistics homework but it will not work!!!!! I was prompted by my textbook's website to update my flash player, so I followed the link as well as all the instructions on the adobe website. The flash player starts to download, then tells me to close internet explorer. i close explorer and retry. then, the adobe webpage comes up saying it's been installed, but when i try to go back and use my e-textbook, it says i need to update my flash player and i'm in the same place i started! help!

Windows 7 - 32-bit or 64-bit?
Make sure you use the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer when you try to use Flash Player, or checking the Shockwave Flash add-on.
What files do you have in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash (32-bit Windows), or C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash (64-bit Windows) ?

Windows 10 downloads but does not install...

windows 10 downloads but does not install on my Stream 13-c010nr (OS 8.1). Says I need 5 GB more before it can install. Should I factory reset? Any suggestions?

If you can run the recovery, it should free up enough space although in this thread, it did not. It might also help to download the Windows 10 ISO file and run it from a USB. You do not have to run any updates to Windows 8.1 if you do that, you can upgrade right after restoring to the factory configuration.

Server 3 downloaded but does not install. HTTPS proxy error

Thanks for looking into my problem.
I had a running OSX Mountain Lion with working OSX server 2.2.
I upgraded to Mavericks (works fine) and server app 2.2 showed does not work. That is normal.
I purchased the new server 3 app (i.e. OSX server for Mavericks) and it downloaded fine.
But when I click the server app icon and the dialogue for installation starts it does not continue to install.
The first question in continue, the server app then shows the license, after acceptance it starts a dialogue
"To configure OSX server on this Mac an administrator account is required. Please enter your password"
Upon entering the correct username and password a cryptic message appears:
"An error occurred while communicating with the secure Web-Proxy-Server. (HTTPS)"
(Or something like that: this was translated from German dialogues)
I cannot find any feedback what this is about. The server 3 app ends then and the server software does not install or configure the OSX server to get it operational again.
My Question:
What is wrong or am I doing wrong?
How can I fix this?
Some more data:
The original OSX server installation was an open domain server.
Upon checking the DNS name as described in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5300, the scutil --get HostName resolves the correct machine name (FQDN) but the host command does not resolve the correct DNS entry.
I am really stuck on this.
Can anybody please help?

I read that one should disable the SSL on a OSX server with Open Domain, prior to installing server 3. To double check: where is that configuration option hidden? How can I do this after upgrading the OSX client to Mavericks?
Seems I have not done that prior to upgrading OSX from mountain lion to mavericks. Now server 2.2 is disabled and I cannot access the server and installing server 3 app does not work.

Why won't my flash player work on my mac OS x 10.7.5 lion???

everytime i try to play a video on youtube or what ever, i get a message telling me to download the new flash player though i've already installled it and tried many times to reinstall it. flash player 11.6.602.167. i am using sfari as my web browser.

thanks fo the help, it installs just fine, safari still doesn't recognize the new flash i tried everything. but i installed google chrome and tada!!! flash is already installed in chrome and it works fine. no more safari for me. my curiuosity still bugs me, but oh well. thanks again.

New iOS 6 downloaded but does not install, what shall I do?

After the ios6 finished downloading my phone seemed to reboot. But once it restarted the iOS was not installed. When I go to the update page and tab on install it takes me to the agree page, so I agree since there is no other option. Then it says "verfying" and then an error with no numbers. Simply saying " an error occurred installing iOS 6" with close or settings as options to tab. It shows that it is downloaded. Pleas help!

Firefox 5.01 downloads, but does not install

I have downloaded this update to Firefox 5 because the browser had been running increasingly slowly. Until a couple of weeks ago (when I installed Firefox), I used IE9 for a 64-bit processor. I found Firefox a great improvement EXCEPT when it comes to deleting temporary files. IE has a mechanism for removing all unnecessary cookies, but retaining those of my favourite sites. This does not seem to be an option with Firefox. I was hoping it might have been addressed in the update, because I suspect temporary internet files (which I am unwilling to remove for the reasons given above) are slowing down Firefox. BUT, although I have downloaded it, and expected Firefox 5.01 to proceed to an automatic installation, it didn't. What do I do?

After the download, it asks me if I want to Run, and when I do, it extracts the file and then I get a popup window that reads "Run as" and it says "you may not have the necessary permissions to use all the features of the program you are about to run. You may run this program as a different user or continue to run the program as the current user. " I slect the button for "current User" - myself- click "OK" and then nothing happens. Firefox does not appear in my programs. What to do?

Air is very new to me. I am working on a desktop app that has an html loader in which can only go to
certain web pages. If the url contains any flash content on the page, the html loader will not show it. Why is this?
Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated..

Adobe Application Manager CS5 downloads but does not install Spanish update on Windows 8.1 64 bit Spanish

I have a multi license for Adobe Creative Suite Design Premium CS5 in Spanish. I installed it correctly in Windows 8.1 Spanish 64 bit. Photoshop 32 and 64 bit start, same with Illustrator with some fix. Yet when I look for updates, 10 are found by Adobe Application Manager, but for a few days I get a message (in Spanish) that "there was an error while downloading, try again later". I do it for some days already without success. I have the same Spanish suite installed on Windows 7 64 bit (English) for some good time (2 years probably), and there the now no updates.
The PDapp.exe file is from the year 2010. Is it not too old as for Adobe?

Firefox 4 downloads, but does not install

I have downloaded Firefox 4 three times, and it says successfully downloaded. I do not see how to "Install" it after it downloads, and in fact, I keep getting prodded to upgrade to Firefox 4. Today I got a message that my old version is no longer protected. I would like to continue using Firefox but need the upgrade. Please advise.

Auto Update downloads but does not install

Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit, 10 PCs in a peer-to-peer network.
They are configured to download and install (GPO) but the last round of updates did not automatically install, I had to install manually.
PCs are in sleep mode and locked in the evenings. At least 1 PC was logged in as an Administrator and locked.
What is preventing the updates from installing?

we are not in a domain environment. As a result, if we want to use Group Policy to configure automatic update, we need to configure this setting via local group policy
on each machines.

Could you please let me know what version of Acrobat are you trying to download.
Make sure that you are logged in as administrator and anti-virus software is disabled on your machine.

Firefox downloads but does not install on my Win7 64 bit laptop and does not show any files in the software list of programs installed.

I have installed and uninstalled several times with no success. I had a previous version installed in April 10 but it will not reinstall or run. This problem started about a month ago, in early July.
