Why won't my iOS 7.03 update load on my iPad? It has said 1 minute remaining for 4-5 days. It may have not had enough room at first, but I deleted a bunch of apps so that now I have 7 GBs free.

If you can, try loading the iOS update using iTunes on your computer.

Wel your "answer" provides not only a bad comparison, but is disingenuous at its heart!
Apple sold a product (8GB iPod Touch) that one could have assumed to be 3rd generation at the time of purchase (because that was what all the other models of iPod Touch were at the time). Then when ios 4.3 came out, we who purchased one of these units found out that the 8GB Touch was really a 2nd generation model, and it would not ever be updated beyond ios 4.2.1 (8C148). Since the version (4.2.1) is BUGGY, it would be in the best interest of Apple to at least provide a bug-fix update release for these units. It is not like we are asking for all the new features of ios 4.3, just fix the BUGS, please, Apple!

I tried creating the new user account but that didn't change anything. Neither did updating to OS X 10.4.3. It just doesn't make sense because I've had the same thing happen with tv dvd players not being able to play stuff but all the computers can and stuff like that, but my dad's computer, which is the same model as mine, can play it and mine can't. It just keeps spitting it right back out. :\ Any more suggestions? I bought the extended warranty, I might try giving Apple a call.

I suppose you do actually have a 4th gen Touch, do you? I believe -and lllaass will correct me here if he's still watching - that the third gen cannot install iOS 6.

IOS 8.1 Update has "BRICKED" my iPad 4 128Gb

I am exceedingly angry about everything to do with iOS 8.x. The 8.0 update mad everything intolerably slowm update 8.02 resulted in repeatable and constant crashing of Safari, mail, messaging, and other apps.
This morning I decided to try the Update to iOS 8.1 only because life has been extremely miserable after iOWS 8 came out. Twice, the iOS 8.1 update stated that it COULD NOT BE COMPLETED based on an error which it did not disclose. I then reduced the number of apps and deleted documents to reduce what was stored in memory. The iOS 8.1 update still failed.
I then decided top do a hard reboot (Power Button and Home button hold) ever since that, my iPad has been locked with the Apple Logo stuck on the screen. It appears to be trying to reboot but is not. It stays on for 20 - 30 min, the screen blacks out, the iPad shuts down, and then tries to reboot again. It has been doing this now for over six hours. It does not respond to any power button or home button pressing at all nor is it shutting down.
I am really angry that Apple botched iOS 8 up and has done a miserable update to a perfectly running iOS 7.x system. I am also angry that everything at this point seems to be lost document and photo wise since the last backup a couple of weeks ago.
Has anyone else had this experience with the iPad 4 128 GB machine?
Has anyone been able to get it to finally reboot?
I'd appreciate any help.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).
Tip 2 - If you're updating via wifi, place your iPad close to your router to preclude getting a corrupted download.

I have a Desktop iMAC OS X Snow Leopard. Recently I updated it to OS X Yosemite after receiving an email from Apple encouraging me to do so. The problem that I now have is with my iPhoto. It will not open because the version installed on my MAC is not compatible with iOS X Yosemite. I am then prompted to update to the newer version of iPhoto. This is the message that I am receiving when I attempt to update: "

This update is not available for this Apple ID
either because it was bought by a different user
or the item was refunded or cancelled.
The computer is in my name, and I have the only Apple ID.
I was told that the problem MAY stem from going from Snow Leopard directly to Yosemite. I never updated to Lion or Maverick. I can't tell you what version my iPhoto is, because I can't open it. It came already installed on Snow Leopard if that helps. I was also told that it could be an Apple server. It's been 6 days. Has anyone ever received this message?

Why won't the iOS 5 Music App show lyrics that I added to iTunes?

The iOS 5 Music App won't allow you to view lyrics.

I just did some poking around on other Apple forums here and found a recommendation for an app which actually does take the embedded lyrics from iTunes and display them on the iPad. It's been around since November, so I don't know why I never saw it before. I'm posting the information about it on several threads so that others are aware of it. It's called Lyrics View and it works well. The only quibbles I have with it are that it doesn't display the title, which the Music app used to do automatically, and when you switch out of the current song it takes you to Songs rather than Artists or Albums, so you have to change to Artists if you want to hear someone else.
It also displays the lyrics with the first lines all the way at the top of the screen, so they are sometimes hard to see behind the progress indicator, but you can make the indicator disappear with a click.
At least there's a workaround until Apple fixes this, assuming that they do.
