Why won't my iphone 4 show up in itunes

I have an iPhone 4 running IOS 4.3.5 and a Macbook Pro running 10.7.1 and iTunes 10.4.1 (b10).
For some reason, in the last few days, my iPhone won't show up in iTunes any more. I generally have a LOT of devices plugged in, but I've tried running with only the iPhone and the external drive with my iTunes library plugged in.
I've tried multiple iPhone cables, tried rebooting the machine.
I've tried adding the Applications --> iTunes --> Show Package Contents --> Contents --> MacOS --> iTunesHelper to my Login Items
iTunes still detects my AppleTV in Devices, but the iPhone won't show up.
When I plug in the phone it goes to charging mode, so I know that a connection is being made.
Any suggestions, tips, or links I can pursue to try to be able to resync my phone?

It turns out that I had to reinstall iTunes from scratch. I got the tip from
iTunes: How to remove and reinstall the Apple Mobile Device Service on Mac OS X 10.6.8 or Earlier
I'm 95% sure it had to do with me installing Xcode 4 to get the "FileMerge" utility for some other development effort totally unrelated to Xcode.
Regardless, it's working again.

Why won't my iPhone 5S show up in iTunes?

I know there are a lot of posts about this; basically, I am running Windows 8.1 on my laptop and I have downloaded the newest iTunes software.
When I plug my iPhone 5S (ios 8.0.2) into my laptop, Windows recognises it, but iTunes will not. I have tried all of the fixes I have read, I have followed the Apple Troubleshooting for when devices aren't being recognised, to no avail. I have updated my drivers through Windows Device Manager, I have tried restarting, disabling and enabling Apple Mobile Device through Windows Services. I have restarted my computer, I have reset my phone, and still nothing! I have took all Apple software off my computer and re-installed everything, but still getting nowhere.
PLEASE can someone offer some advice?!
Like I say, I know there are a lot of posts about itunes/windows 8 issues such as this, I am only posting a new one cause I have tried everything I've read so far!

I would recommend the steps in the article below. See the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver.

I've had this problem since first connecting the Ipod. It won't show in either iTunes nor in Windows explorer/my computer. I've also tried the same
setup on Windows 7, same PC a with a dual-boot with XP Pro setup. I've carried aout all the troubleshooting steps suggested here:

Why won't my iPhone 4s sync to my iTunes?

I am very frustrated with Apple right now! Today, I wanted to synch my phone to my iTunes to delete music from it and back it up. So, I plugged my phone in and it didn't show up on iTunes. So, I updated my phone. Still didn't show up. So I updated iTunes. Still didn't show up. So I reset all of my settings on my phone. Still didn't show up. So I called Apple Support, who were very helpful and told me to uninstall literally all of my Apple programs. I DID. This was a very, very lengthy process. Afterwards, I re-downloaded iTunes, and now when I plug my phone in, nothing happens! It has been doing various things, but still not working. Sometimes the iPhone button will come up but it will stop scrolling and the whole iTunes will freeze. Other times it has an error message saying it can't read my phone. Other times nothing will happen. I have rebooted, and Ctrl+Alt+deleted and nothing changes. Do I have to uninstall and reinstall it for the third time today? My phone will show up on two other computers using the same usb cord. I am on a Windows Vista Computer. I have literally been trying this entire day and I feel so stumped. I can't continue using my phone fully because I have too many songs, and I just want to delete some songs! So frustrating. Any advice at all?

Why won't my iPhone sync my music from iTunes?

My iPhone 5 will not sync with my iTunes. It claims to do so, but when I check my phone it's all basically the same prior to the sync. The biggest issue I have right now is my music, I have to delete everything manually from my phone. I'm not sure if it's iCloud or anything but it's becoming a bother. I'm OCD and that was one of the main reason why I chose an iPhone- it's clean and simple. I know for a fact that the issue is not my iTunes, but my iPhone. I've tried restarting and everything, I'm just at a dead end here. SOS.

I have no restrictions on my phone. The AppleID is the same for all of my devices. Yes, iTunes is set up for manual sync.
I figured out the problem though and fixed it. Now, thankfully, everything is fine. I first did an encrypited backup for my phone on iTunes which I saved on my Mac. I then restored my iPhone and went through the process of restoring...I also went through each and every single song to make sure it downloaded properly. After all of that my content and music are perfectly fine.

I tried to plug my Iphone 4 into my laptop to download some photos to my phone and when I opened Itunes my phone wasn't showing up. I tried re downloading Itune but it didn't help and my Itune is fully up to date.

Why won't my Apple TV show up in iTunes via micro-USB?

I turned on my Apple TV (2nd gen I think) last night and it wanted to update. After going through two updates, all I got on the screen was an iTunes logo and a USB cord. I re-started via the remote and all I got was the same thing. Then I couldn't get it to go to sleep, the light just blinked. Unplugged and left it alone for awhile, plugged it back in, same thing. Went out today and bought a micro-USB cord to hook it up to my Mac and Restore from iTunes. When plugged in, the light in front just flashes and the Apple TV doesn't show up in the sidebar in iTunes under "Devices". Now what?

Try a different micro USB cable. I was trying with one I bought from Staples... didn't work no matter what I tried. Then I tried one made by LG (for LG phones)--- worked instantly. ATV2 should be unplugged from the power cord, just the micro USB cable connected to the computer USB port. Then launch iTunes. Good luck!

So every since I got my PC in May I have tried to plug in my Iphone 4 on iOS 7.1 and all it does is freak out and charge on and off over and over rapidly. Hw do I fix this? And yes I do have an update but my phone only connects to wifi next to a router so I have not updated it. Please help.

It could be the cable. If it a generic USB cable? Have you tried other USB cable?
it could also be the USB port, have you tried other USB port on your computer?
Have you tried connecting it to a power outlet to see if your phone can charge properly?
If it does charge properly with the outlet then it could be the USB port is the problem.
If it is the cable then you should buy an authentic cable.

Why won't my iPhone 4 download music from iTunes?

My iPhone 4 says I have downloaded the music that I'm trying to download already, but I haven't. I tried downloading it a bunch of times, but it never works. On the iTunes Store app it will tell me it's already downloaded, but through the music app it has the cloud thing meaning it isn't downloaded. Any help/suggestions is appreciated. Thank you :)
P.S m phone has 1 GB left, but I'm only trying to download two songs. I deleted a whole album I never listen to anymore in case there wasn't enough room, but it didn't help. It still does the same thing. It just started too because I downloaded music early this morning and it worked.

Log out of your Apple Store account (Settings > Store > Sign Out) then sign back in. Should fix the problem.

So you followed all of the instructions in TS1538 and it did not help. Then you looked at TS1567 which I sent you and it didn't help. Is this all correct? I"m guessing that you are using Windows.
Then you need to remove and reinstall iTunes. Use this support document and follow the instructions exactly. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 Then try and connect your iPhone.

Yup, you want LTE all the time. As Loquat stated, LTE = 4G
when you are sitting next to someone and the phone says 4G, it is a ATT or T mobile connection. They have fake or faux 4G that is a step down from LTE. It really is 3G+ but they came up with the fake 4G. This is why Verizon put LTE to indicate it is real 4G technology, not hype.
