Hi cindyhildy, follow these instructions below it has fixed my issue and should work for you.
Open app store, get the message "unable to connect to iTunes store", go to settings, change year to the last year it will let you (think I went to 2038), double tap home button and close app store, go to home screen and then open app store and touch updates panel, should get a message "cannot get secure connection to server or something like that" go back to settings and reset the year to current.

What country are you in ? Re-downloading music isn't currently possible in all countries (the record companies need to agree to it for each country). If you are in a country where music can be re-downloaded, then if the tracks are still in the store then they should show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes.

If the C key for Install Disc or R Command for OS X Recovery startup commands are not working, try holding the Option key for the Startup Manager.

If that does not work and you using a wireless keyboard, it may have become unpaired and you need to dig up a USB keyboard to invoke the startup commands.

1.   Are you using the right signing in details?
2.   Were the Apps originally bought via the App Store?
3.   Have you checked if they are partially downloaded?

I downloaded the latest update from the Apps store and it won't work. I cannot download anothe rbecause the Apps store reads this version installed. What to do? What to dooooo?

What a pain in the *** this whole process is too. I might as well just delete the freakin' program from the computer and rack it up to nonsense on the Apple end of things. To **** with you. Support ***! Bah! 20 minutes into this process and I have to type and retype over something you suggested I do. Next time I'll take your suggestions with a grain of salt . Fuggetaboutit!

Cisco IPS (global correlation) is downloading lots of updates from the iron-port website

I have query on Global correlation.
Following is the observed behavior
Scenario 1:
Global Correlation Inspection: ON (Standard)
Reputation Filter: ON
Result: Global correlation downloads in bytes or KBs (observed on proxy)
Scenario 2:
Global Correlation Inspection: OFF
Reputation Filter: ON
Result: Global correlation downloads 4-5 MB every 5 Minutes (observed on proxy)
This behavior has been observed on both IPS devices one by one. What we wanted the clarity on is why is does global correlation download so much of data when it is OFF, and downloads only minimal data when ON. The equation does not seem to be right.

Both global correlation and reputation filtering retrieve updates from the SensorBase network, or IronPort. By default, they communicate with the network every five minutes. This value cannot be changed by the IPS administrator.

How do I remove the Adobe updater from the Mac menu bar?

I would like to remove the Adobe Updater from my menu bar for my Mac, I found a lot of instruction to remove it for other versions of the updater, but the I can't find that option in the new CS6 updater.
If there is a way to completely stop the updater from running, that would be useful too.
I also don't understand why the updater say "4" in the menu bar, I only have Photoshop installed, and there are no update avaiable.

I am one of the many for whom Application Manager just started to crash every time I tried to open it. I was also getting the 'trial' dialog box, then a request for a serial number, even though I subscribe to Creative Cloud.
After hours with Adobe Tech Support, I have gone the around-your-elbow-to-get-to-your-mouth method of creating a second user and installing CC apps there...hopefully this is temporary situation, but a girl has to work.
My question is this: how do I remove the updater notifications from the menu bar [original user] if I can't open Application Manager? It crashes every time...besides, Tech Support had me send it to the trash and delete it. I went to my other user ID, updated all, but I'm still showing the annoying update badge in my original menu bar. [Altho' Camera Raw failed to update...that's another issue]
Please advise. I had CS5.5 Design Premium...maybe it would be easier just to upgrade that to CS6 and ditch Creative Cloud!

Why won't it let me see my updates in the App Store?

I have had 3 updates in the App Store for 4 days and every time I click on the App Store then click updates it says "loading" then stops and never loads. Not only is it frustrating but I'm a heavy gamer and if there's an update for one of my games and can't get it updated then why have such a "High Tech, Smart" machine? Can anyone help????

If you are getting the blank app update screen, and, many people are having this problem over the last several of days:
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this will work.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
1. Go to App Store
2. Select Purchased
3. Select All
4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store. Apple needs to fix this. It is a workaround only until then.
Or try this from Apple:
I understand that your App Store does not show your app updates. Please follow the steps below to help resolve the issue.
1. Close All Apps on iPad: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
2. Sign out of iTunes & App Stores: Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Tap AppleID > Sign out

Why won't Focus Area Show up under selection from the new update of PS CC '14?

So I am looking for the Focus Area in PS CC '14's new update, but I can't find it. I search it up on help but it does not find it.
I've updated it all today. Is there a setting I need to have so that it will show up?

I got it. I still don't understand why so if someone can explain it I'd love to know. But when I removed <div id=ads> and it's close div, putting the content of that div in with the webcam div, it all worked. I don't have it that way on the page that uses the same size images and layout, but in a slideshow format, but for some reason it's what it took to make it work here.
I'd love to know if anyone knows why. But in case anyone else is struggling with something similar, maybe this will help.

IPad is trying to download a friends updates from the App Store

I have an IPad which a friend has somehow linked to his IPhone updates.Now my IPad tells me there are updates to install from the Apps store and when I go into them it askes for his Apple ID password. Ho wdo I get rid of this!

The only way that I can imagine this occurring is if his iPhone had been synced to your computer at some point in time and he used his Apple ID and account to purchase his apps. Do you have his iPhone apps on your iPad? I think they would have to be there somewhere if the app store is telling you updates are available.
If that is the case you will have to delete the apps from your iTunes library on your computer and sync your iPad after you remove the apps. Launch iTunes, go to the library on the left side, click on Apps, then right click (control click in Windows?) on the app you want to delete and select delete. Then connect your iPad to your computer and sync. The iPad can only sync the content that is in the iTunes library so if the apps are gone, they will in effect be erased from your iPad when you sync again and this should resolve the problem.

Iphone 6 questions before updating from the 4S

I currently have an iPhone 4s running OS 7.1.2. seeing as I don't have enough space left open on my phone to update to OS 8. I also am not able to connect to wifi via the quick connect on the pull up menu or from the setting menu. Tried doing a complete restart of the phone to see if that would change it back, but did not. I am only able to back up the info on my phone by plugging it into the computer. I am looking into getting the 6 in the next few weeks, but due to these problems it has left me with a few questions.
1. The 6 comes loaded with the new operating system, but since I am not able to update currently and will have to restore my phone via the computer with all my info from the 4S thats running a lower OS will that effect the phone? will it not let me update since the 4S is not currently running OS8?
2. Will the issue with the wifi not being able to connect carry over to the new device or is this strictly an issue with my 4S?
These are the only ones I can think of right now If i think of anything else I will let you know. Thanks for the help.

1) You should have no issues restoring your 6 from a backup of the 4S. You can restore a device running a newer version of iOS from a backup made with an older one but can't go the other way.
2) If the wifi issue is a hardware problem with the phone, you will not have issues with your 6. If it's a software problem, it may carry over to the new phone.

I've hit (rent) twice. It shows the red #1 fall down to the download, but it disappears after a sec. and I have no movie in my movie icon or my library. What's going on?

I don't know if this helps, but when using your data plan to download files, the carriers in the US (don't know about outside US) set a max file size of 20 MB. If you are trying to download your movie via wifi, then it should work. Have you tried doing this on your mac and later sync the movie to the iPhone?
