Safari does work, right?
It could be due to the school blocking iTunes.

  • HT2731 every time i try to go to the iTunes store, my ipod says "Cannot Connect to the iTunes Store". How do I get it to log into my account?

Every time I try to go to the iTunes store from my iPod, it says "Cannot connect to iTunes Store". How do I get it to connect and log in to my iTunes account??

Do other apps connect to the internet on the iPod e.g. Safari ? If they do then try logging out of your account on the iPod by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works.

ever since I updated my iPod software my iPod will not connect to the app store and won't let me download anything. help

Hook it up to your computer and open itunes. try to download hte apps via your computer. Every time you update hte software you have to reagree to the itunes terms of service. Sometimes it's hard to get it to come up on the device, but is easier on a computer.

My iTunes won't connect to the iTunes store why?

Hey, I had the same problem with the itunes not connecting to the store thing, I recommend checking your firewall and stuff make sure itunes (or safari) is not blocked, if everything is ok with that (apple apps not blocked), Uninstall Itunes, safari, quicktime icloud and whatever apple app you have on your computer. and get an earlier version.... the problem in some cases? Apple Application Support on itunes 10/quicktime 7 and later, a flaw that apple has to work on I recommend downloading a earlier version of itunes

  • My IPOD and Macbook Pro both will not connect to the Itunes store through Itunes says no internet connection, but I can connect through safari and I have a internet connection

My IPOD and Macbook Pro both will not connect to the Itunes store through Itunes says no internet connection, but I can connect through safari and I have a internet connection

As I mentioned above, I am not very tech savvy so I have no idea why a wireless protocol would be showing up there, I'm just listing everything I see in hopes that someone might know something I can try. This is why I am asking for help here - I'm not sure what has happened that has made me unable to connect, especially since it seemingly occured while nobody was using the computer.
I guess I should clarify that I'm not a total hillbilly- normally my firewall is set to 'on', but I set it to 'off' to try and troubleshoot the issues here as I was told that sometimes it can interfere with the computer's ability to connect to the internet. If this is not the case and firewall does not affect anything, I will turn it back on while I try to fix this.
I have tried the method you mentioned above a few times - I actually contacted my ISP earlier this week and they recommended resetting the router like that. They didn't mention any known network issues.

  • Cannot connect to the iTunes store or update my iPod software

I've been having problems with my iTunes for a while now. Every time I try to connect to the iTunes store, i get the message "itunes could not connect to the itunes store. an unknown error occurred. (-3221). make sure your network connection is active and try again." also, when i try to sync my iPod, i am told that my software is old and i need to download the new version. when i try to do this, i get the message "the ipod software update server could not be contacted. make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later." ALSO, whenever i put a previously recorded cd into my dvd drive to add it to my iTunes, the iTunes will load the music but not the cd information, which it used to find automatically! can someone please help me? i've contacted apple several times and done everything they've said to try; i've tried all of the advice here in the support section and even talked to friends with lots of computer experience and nothing has helped. i even uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it and turned off my firewall. still nothing!

  • Why can't I connect to the ITunes Store? Also can't download any CD's.For 3 weeks now and no tech support to help on phone?what is up???

Why can't I connect to the ITunes Store?Even through I troubleshooted with the info I was e-mailed,created new password,
made sure date, keychain was correct etc and still cannot open store .I have MacOSX 10.4.11 and it does not let me download
the latest version of iTunes.I need to speak to someone on the phone as it has been over 3 weeks now and this issue is still
not resolved. also cannot download any CD's. After reinstalling disc 1 as told by 1 800 MY APPLE (as I was unable to cut and paste
on my Mac)I ended up having to bring the computer in to the Apple Store on 5th Ave in Manhattan as it also required Disc 2 .
Unfortunately I did not back up my music library and was not told it would be fully erased due to reinstallation. My 6 year music
library got completely wiped out.iTunes had a history of my purchases but I received an e-mail stating about 35 songs and
videos I purchased cannot be retroactive due to modification(I don't know what this means)I greatly appreciate if someone would
    help me clarify this issue.
    Thank you.
    Sincerely,
    Maria
