Why won't my itunes update

I can't get my itunes to update on my PC

I have same problem, but to give more detail - I am trying to install iTunes version 10.6.3.05 - 32 bit on Windows XP-SP3 and after the installer runs the various subsidiary repairs and tries to install iTunes it gives this message - "The installer encountered errors before iTunes could be configured. Errors occurred during installation. Your system has not been modified." This has happened on previous attempts to upgrade iTunes, which now does not funcion.
What can we do to fix, please??

Looks like you have a 3G not a 3Gs...
Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and “ Check for Updates “...
If an Update Appears Install it... if not... you are up to date for your particular Device...

Why won't my itunes recognize my ipad when I plug it in to the computer? I have tried connecting the ipad both before and after opening itunes but it does not show up as an ipad in the upper right portion of the screen as my iphone does. Suggestions?

That's not the issue though. I have all that already set up. It's just for my hotmail account. I have another account that works fine. It's just annoying to have to see all the same stupid emails on every single device, and then in my hotmail account as well. Aren't they supposed to be syncing with one another?

If you are getting an error message then what is the full text of it ?
The temporary store holding charge is standard, it should disappear within a few days or so.

Try resetting ...
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.
You won't lose any data as a result of a reset.

Unfortunately I got even more errors.
What's the precise text of the error without the SQLite3.dll in \Mobile Device Support\
When you checked to see if there still were errors (after dragging the file out), was there a copy of the file still back in \Apple Application Support\?
