Why won't my latest Lr CC update fully download?

I was notified that there was an update to Lr CC, and once I clicked install, it won't go past 42%. After that, it says that the installation failed, and I'm not sure what options I have.

Sounds like you might be having difficulty with Adobe's Download Manager app... Try using the Lightroom 6/CC direct links instead:

Thanks! The problem I had was that I simply needed to download a new version from the App Store. I had honestly completely forgotten about the App Store. I'm on 5.0.7 now.

You are correct that is what I'm talking about. I did install it.
Now I can't get the check box in the preferences security panel under the tab "general" that allows "automatically update safe downloads list" to stay checked. Each time I unlock and check the box and then relock and close, the check mark disapears. This is the problem.

My Apple TV won't play TV shows that are fully downloaded in my library. It says it will take 6 hours to load a 50 minute episode. It suggests to change the picture resolution, yet this till says it will take hours to uplaod. Is anyone else having this problem, and how do I fix it? I only bought the thing last week, and really feel ripped off. Thanks in advance.

Again, the issue may not be iPhoto per se, but something in iTunes or the interface between the two that just struggles above a certain number of files.
I was able to view photos before I upgraded my apple TV to v3 software but it was not reliable. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not. And it was always slow.
There were occasional posts about people with slow performance on AppleTV who had huge music libraries - not in terms of storage size, just overall numbers of songs/albums etc.
AppleTV is not a particularly high spec device compared to any modern computer so long lists of music files or photos/events might overload it. Trouble is here, itunes is just flat refusing to recognise your photos to even attempt to stream them.

IT's because of the system specifcations are probarly not able to handle the new requirements for the iOS 6+ if you want/need those applications you'll have to purchase a new iPad

Since the latest FF automatic update - any jpg I send to myself I cannot save as a jpg. This is so frustrating. I use my camera phone to take shots of our library activities and then to make newsletters, website updates etc. Just started this week. Today is the first day I noticed this problem.

You can rename the files and give them a .jpg file extension.
You can force that while saving the file if you add quotes around the name: "image.jpg"

At a guess (you don't list the error), what maybe happening is that you have booted from the original OS install disc, told it to install the (old) original OS on to the hard disk and it has said - no thanks you cannot install an older version because it already has a newer version installed.
This is 'normal', what you have to do is totally erase the hard disk first. You do this by booting from the original OS install disc, but rather than trying to do an install straight away, you should first use Disk Utility and use that to erase the hard disk. Then you can run the install again and because the hard disk will be empty it will not have a newer OS on it and the installer will be happy.
Obviously this means any files you have on the hard disk will be erase as well. If you want to keep them you are going to need to back them up first, the easiest way would be to use Time Machine to backup to an external hard disk.

I have been using itunes for years and have never had any problems with it. I was advised by itunes today that a new update was available which I routinely tried to install. Please contact the application's support team for more information. Unfortunately I have no idea what this means. I tried uninstalling Itunes and downloading it again from the apple website. It seemed to download OK! but when I tried to open it I received the same message as before.I am now stuck with hundreds of songs, TV & movies purchased from apple with no means of playing them on my PC. Any assistance would be appreciated. I am running Windows 7 and have an i5 processor and a 1gb Nvidia graphics card installed. Is it my PC or an issue with the latest version of itunes?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

Why Won't The Latest Update for iCloud Install?

Hi.
Apple keeps trying to update iCloud, but even after updating iTunes, QuickTime, and my iPhone successfully, the iCloud update still won't install. It bombs out at the end in the "validating installation" step, and says there is something wrong with the installer file, and rolls back the attempted installation. This keeps happening with the automatic update, wither I let it run automatically or select the "download only" option and then run the update myself. And, this happens when I go to the iCloud website and download the latest version, to try to manually install that.
How can I get a good copy of the iCloud update package?

I see that you’re having some issues with an attempted update to iCloud Control Panel for Windows. Since this is happening when you are attempting to update iCloud Control Panel through the automatic update process and when attempting to manually update the program, this issue could possibly stem from interference with security software on your computer.
